This past weekend was my first night to spend at our new home alone during below freezing temperatures. After arriving to our home, I felt like it was extraordinarily cold in our house. However, I am from Phoenix and I do get cold easily. And the thermostat was reading 73. After spending two nights, sleeping under every blanket, I owned, and wearing jeans and a sweatshirt to bed, I finally decided that some thing was very wrong. Our builders gave us a large binder with reference materials in it recommending who to call when something goes wrong. On the list was Comfort Air. I called first thing in the morning after my second night of feeling like icicles were hanging off my nose. They answered the phone and let me know that they were running at least a week out! I explain the situation, and I also let them know that I would be leaving the house alone for another week that day. I was afraid to have an unoccupied home be that cold. They told me they would call me back. After about 15 minutes indeed, they called back. An hour later they sent out a technician. It was Halloween day, and I couldn't believe my eyes. When I open the door, a very friendly man, dressed in a pumpkin suit, was there to be my warm air air hero! Before he arrived, I called the people that installed our smart home thermostat. Turns out it was the thermostat and not the heater. However, Roberto, the technician from Comfort Air insisted on checking everything. He was quick, clean, and efficient. The whole experience was fantastic! And the pumpkin suit didn't hurt either!

When I questioned him "WHY" my brand new parts were in his work truck, he wouldn't answer the question. The only answer that he could have given to me was that HE STOOL them while he was working. His attitude was that of a VERY GRUMPY OLD MAN. He did shady work , his character was dodgey, he was grumpy, he was unknowledgeable BUT he'll tell you he's been in the business for 30 years. Steer clear. I moved to the front range and had it installed here. It went flawless. Its called RETIRE man.

We were told that we could not buy just the heat exchanger, that we would have to replace the entire system which is only 9 years old. Repairman was supposed to get us some estimates for doing this. My husband found the exact heat exchanger online. It's now two months later and we still do not have a resolution or fix. No call back with an estimate for repairing or replacing the system. I believe Dave is his name, well anyway he completely fucked us over yesterday and today. Our…read moreheater was not working correctly so we called this company to come take a look at it and fix it. The first issue that occurred was that Dave charged us for a part that is 20$ online but 98$ threw this company, didn't let us buy our own part and just charged us for it without letting us discuss and buy our own for WAYYY CHEAPER. Then come to find out AFTER he leaves and our heater is "fixed" ($300 later) it's broken and instead of coming back right away to fix it he let us wait until today and had us basically freeze all night. And when we called him back to let him know it was not working he gave us attitude and made it seem like it was the end of the world he had to come back and fix it; he made a snotty comment that said "well I am going to see if I have time and move some other things around, so I don't know when I'll be able to come back" (Which he didn't even fix, we're calling another company) And now there is another part in the heater that was working perfectly fine before Dave touched our heater but now it has been fried?? after Chamac "fixed" our heater, Dave claims the piece that "magically" fried is $350. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this business, unless you want your money going down the drain for nothing. HORRIBLE service, never again. I hope no one else has to go through what my family and I did.
