And is so gentle with our scared cats. We discuss costs prior to treatment and they are willing to work with me on treatment plans. I do love this practice!!! Shout out to Dr. Julie!!! Oh my goodness! I appreciate them all!! But Dr. Julie has been our vet for years and she is my hero and my beloved critters' Doc!!! Even when they are busy and behind on the schedule Dr. Julie is always prepared, sees ME, I never feel rushed, and she is always happy and right on top of my pet's needs.

She already had all the signs that she was going as far as just laying there Her body was shutting down they told my husband that they didn't have time they were busy and about to close bull crap they call themselves a vet they told him to go to MSU are you kidding me? All they care about is money and the stupid thing is we were willing to pay them. They overcharge already as it is I asked myself once again why even bother with these people inconsiderate they don't care about your animals she end up passing with all of us by her side. Although I have cared for and owned many pets over the years, my first experience in having one…read moreeuthanized was yesterday. Drs. Yoder and Mortimer and the team at ELVC went beyond all expectations in the final exam to give me the information, evaluation, recommendation and reasons to be able to make an informed and compassionate decision about ending our beloved family dog's suffering. I was apprehensive about the procedure as well as upset and scared about being tasked by the family to manage her end-of-life care. All my concerns and questions were addressed with such kindness, attention and patience that I was able to achieve peace and confidence in moving forward. The waves of denial and dread that night disappeared when we were received at the clinic the next day. We were given support, privacy and respect in a way that made me feel comfortable expressing myself and creating last moments for our dear one and ourselves. More importantly, the individual attention and gentle handling of our little dog soothed my soul as I could see how calm she was. We were given all the time we needed in a safe and supportive environment to hold, pet, kiss, speak to, and perform last rites at every stage of the process. And as sad as I was, there was also an uplifting feeling from being enabled to create a loving ceremony without pressure, rush or judgment. I was able to leave the clinic with minimal anxiety, knowing that she was in the hands of people whom I considered to be true healers and caregivers of animals and people as demonstrated consistently over time through their words, communications, actions and behaviors. There is more value in experiencing this kind of human trust than anything else I can think of. I would not hesitate to recommend ELVC to any pet owner based on every human/animal interaction I've personally experienced as a client, or observed while in the waiting room or front desk.

I suggest finding an alternative as I have never had a worse experience with a vet than here. They should be out of business.

We've been going to Holt Vet Clinic for about six years now and have been quite happy with them…read more Most of our pets' needs are pretty conventional -- vaccines, heartworm meds, etc., -- but about two years ago, our beloved Maltese became very ill. Dr. Rees was very helpful in trying to help us find a diagnosis. Unfortunately, we didn't find one until Macy began having seizures, at which point she needed specialized care at MSU. (She turned out to have a very rare and difficult-to-diagnose disease called GME.) We ended up working with a neurologist in Boston, and Dr. Rees was always very willing to work with him and with our vet at MSU to make Macy's treatment as convenient for us as possible.

The review that says otherwise is astonishing..Dr. Fauser has never raised his voice to anyone, not in the almost 35 years I've been there. My dog developed heart worm, and they worked diligently to save her life..which they did. In these years, we've had 6 cats and 1 dog. Each has been carefully and gently cared for, and when news was bad, or the time had come, they mourned with me. I won't go anywhere else...there are no extraneous tests or procedures done here. Everything is for the good of your pet, but with a dose of common sense as well. The staff and Dr. Fauser are an extension of your pets family, and that is how you and your pet are always treated.
