My favorite place for hair extensions in LA The place is so cute, the stylist are knowledgeable and efficient & i've never said this in a yelp review before, but there is really great energy there! not sure what it is haha but I love everything about this place. :) sorry need better pics not in black clothes haha

I am SO glad I found these ladies and booked an appointment! Everything was great and thorough, beginning with the consultation and with the actual appointment itself. Selena did a STUNNING job on my hair (I got 20 inch k-tip Bossbabe extensions) - she even dyed my hair to match them, so I didn't have to worry about dying my hair prior to the appointment. The extensions are weightless and perfect for my extremely fine hair (you can't see the bonds AT ALL) - the amount of compliments I've received so far have been amazing. Also, i have to say that everyone at the shop were SO welcoming. Thank you Selena, Monique and crew for making this such a wonderful experience (it literally felt like hanging out with friends). I'm never going anywhere else for extensions!!!

I've been going here for over a year. The first 2 appointments were great , but a little overpriced. While I really trusted them I went last week to get keratin extensions and they sent me home with extensions that DID NOT match my natural colors. They did not advice me to color my natural hair or to change the shade of extensions. Im extremely embarrassed of the hair they allowed me to leave with and wish they would have recommended a shade change as professionals. Everyone has been able to tell my hair is fake ...

I contacted her via Yelp: it was easy and quick, I had a consultation set up with her in less than an hour for the same week. She listened to my concerns and asked me what I wanted and what my vision was so she can select the best product. We talked color and asked her to make it as natural looking as possible. At the appointment, a week later, she set about telling me what she was doing and I had a lot of questions. She had so much patience for all my questions! She worked quickly and the process was so painless and the beautiful hair looks and feels like my own natural hair. Talking with Monique is like talking with an old friend! Even though we had only just met, she made me feel comfortable and like we had known each other for years. She will listen to your concerns and make you feel confident in her work. Such an amazing first experience getting extensions! I lost a good amount my hair years ago after getting off of birth control and have been insecure about it since. My hair has always been fine/wavy but there was more of it. I decided to get extensions finally for that confidence boost I needed. I wanted to shout out CARLA for doing my consultation/listening to my hair needs. We decided K-Tip bonds were best for my lifestyle and budget. I absolutely love EBLA!!! I was really struggling with self confidence since my hair was super damaged this year, but Monique, Carla, Selina, and Julia all did such a great job with my extensions and helping me maintain them! They felt so natural and light when I had them in. I took out my extensions for two weeks and I was a little nervous my hair would be even more damaged than before but nope, with their good technique of installation and removal my hair was actually getting healthier. I'd recommend this salon to anyone. Super sweet staff and amazing extensions !

Run, don't walk.... If you want truly gorgeous, natural looking extensions - don't even hesitate. Worth every penny!!! As someone who has dealt with hair issues since I was a teenager, I am always hesitant and apprehensive to make any drastic changes. However, my hair is still very fine and I was hoping for a fuller look for my wedding day. Monique listened to my concerns, answered my numerous questions about the process and guided me in the right direction. To say she is an expert is putting it mildly. She has been doing extensions since 2003 and is a straight wizard. I was in complete shock seeing the final product.... Never in my wildest dreams did I think my hair can look like this! I went to have a consultation. The place was not clean. The girl who tried to over charge me said 1 bundle of hair was around 2,500 plus.... I thought was insane the vibe sucked there was no parking. I ended up going to a well worth salon called stardust in Burbank off of magnolia who did my roots and 3 bundles of hair for less then there price by 1k. I have been around and this place is def a rip off. By her response just shows how they rip off their clients. read more

I have been to Extension Bar LA four times for extension installation, and it has been a wonderful experience every time. The owner, Monique, really cares about her clients' satisfaction with the finished product, and she's excellent at color matching. I have had both Carla and Rebecca install my extensions, and they both are excellent. They remove the old extensions, wash and dry your hair, install the new extensions, then trim your hair and style it. They are very meticulous and do a fantastic job. I would highly recommend Extension Bar LA. read more

Is there a rate BEYOND 5 stars?!? There is no other place to go for extensions and hair care. Period! Monique and Selina (as well as everyone else) are THE EXPERTS. Even more important is that THEY TRULY CARE! Not only do the women spend time to talk about the extensions logistics (installation/maintenance/care/etc), but they also understand the immediate confidence boost that extensions can bring to an individual -- therefore the Salon's low-key "real" mission & vibe is about empowering everyone who sits in their chair. Every 3-4 months I let Monique create magic with her touch using Bellami Hair 18" & trust me I've been around .... and i finally found the best fit for me!!! Extension Bar LA is literally a hidden gem in Los Angeles- I have fine, fragile hair and had extensions on and off for years. I've pretty much been to all the "it" salons in Beverly Hills and all of them effed up my hair. Carla was the stylist that put in my tape extensions- they look so natural and more importantly feel so comfortable even after several weeks of wearing them. The hair is the best quality I've ever worn and the color is an exact match. Its the first time I've worn extensions confidently and the first time I've loved my hair all around in a really long time. I went in for my consultation and Monique was very kind and professional. I have very fine hair and do not lead the lifestyle that would be suitable for extensions therefore she told me honestly that she did not recommend me getting extensions. So rather than trying to sell me on her services she put my needs before her own. This kind of honesty is hard to come by in many businesses and truly special when found. I believe this business has the clients best interest at heart and truly care for their customers. I would 100% refer this business to any friends or family in the future. read more

EBLA is the best place in LA to get your hair extensions . They turn you into a #BossBabe. Monique and her team know how to apply extensions to blend them in with your natural hair. I had k-tip extensions installed, it was worth the time and money. They take the time to recommend the best shampoo and conditioner leaving my extensions so soft! They offer a very affordable price as you will need to reinstall the extensions every 4 months depending on how your hair grows and the price comes with hair! My whole life I've had fine, thin, fragile hair, and all I've ever wanted was long, luscious locks! I thought about getting extensions for a while, but I was worried about them damaging my hair. I did my research and found Monique, and she told me I was a perfect candidate for tape-ins. From the very beginning Monique was so kind and reassuring. I was nervous, but she answered all of my questions and made me feel comfortable. She made sure I bought all the right products and tools to take proper care of my hair. When we took them out to move them up a couple weeks ago, I could tell my own hair was healthy and hadn't been damaged at all. As soon as she put them in the first time, I was IN LOVE with my extensions! They looked gorgeous. The color matched perfectly (blonde) and they blended seamlessly with my own hair. My friends and coworkers were amazed that it wasn't mine! If you're thinking about getting extensions, Monique is definitely the one to go to. Sophia M. Is absolutely amazing... i cant thank her enough she drastically changed the way my hair was... i had such a horrible experience at another salon that I was a little nervous letting someone else touch my hair ... I came in to lift and retape my hair ... i had so many knods that where i went before placed so many in my hair but the whole time sophia was super gentle she was the nicest most sweetest... i felt so relieved during the whole experience.... she was so professional and I can't thank Extensionbar LA for having such a professional, kind young lady there . The best extensions in LA..I have gone to so many places from Beverly Hills to Korea Town and this place wins. I do the tape extensions and the hair is so amazing , they look so natural!! I finally found a hair home with Monique at Salon Republic. I have tried everything from an $8 haircut in a strip mall to unremarkable mid-ranged $75 cuts to Cristophe in Beverly Hills and the Elizabeth Arden Red Door salon in Midtown, NYC. Salon Republic is my favorite. First is the set-up. I've never seen a place like this. Each stylist has their own room, which they decorate to really reflect their personality. I was instantly impressed that my stylist had a Keurig in her room. Monique was recommended to me by a friend who always has fantastic hair. My friend told me that Monique was honest with her if she didn't think something was a good idea, and since my friend always looks great, I figured I'd trust Monique and only give her general direction. I went with long layers and a slight ombre (I was scared). I'm attaching a photo. Gorgeous, right? The price is awesome for the results. I've been there four times now, and I absolutely trust Monique with my hair. No more searching for a salon. Yay! read more

Monique and her assistant Sophie are 100000% miracle workers! After years of highlights, my hair was thin and lifeless. I found Monique on yelp and with a few hours, had scheduled a consultation with her for the following week. She's absolutely lovely in person and together, we came up with a plan. I returned the following week to get tape in extensions and highlights. Monique and Sophie walked me through the whole process which was much faster and easier than I expected. I was floored to see the final product - the color is beautiful and you absolutely can't tell that there are any extensions - it just looks lovely and healthy! I have always had fine hair, and my obsession with being blonde had left me unable to reach the length I desire, because of constant breakage. I came to extension bar very afraid to further damage my hair. Monique and Carla were awesome and walked me through the process so that I felt reassured. EBLA is the best place to get hair extensions in La! I got the Boss Babe , Carla did an amazing job! It's been a month with NO hair fall out!!! I've never had extensions where hair didn't fall out the first month!! I was impressed with the detail to the color matching of the Extensions to my real hair. It's clear that she was disorganized and had not planned her schedule well and was taking that urgency out on her clients. I'm going gray, and strategized a blending plan with Crystal and she's been moving me from dye red to natural dark blonde w/ highlights to blend the gray. She alleviated my worries in making the transition, and hasn't been overly pushy on pricey highlights. She did them in a way that I wouldn't need touch-ups/to get them done regularly, in fact. She also told me what toner/developer to buy from Sally's to tone my hair between appointments, which I really appreciate. I can't believe how much I love my (mostly natural) hair now! I understand how long it lasts depends on how often I wash my hair, but I only wash my hair 1-2 times a week. I'm very disappointed that I threw money in the trash. Also, she claimed that it doesn't smell and it smelled awful for the first month minimum every time I washed and blow dried my hair.

I used Monique to give me beautiful extensions for my wedding. I was terrified of getting extensions and ruining my hair but knew I really wanted them for my big day. I went to a few different places for consults and did not feel comfortable with anyone but Monique. She helped me figure out the extension type that was best for my hair (we ended up choosing tape-ins) and helped me plan exactly when to put them in before my wedding. She did an amazing job.
