The back was visibly uneven, the shape was inconsistent from one side to the other, and once I got home and was able to really look at it, I could see how poorly the cut had been executed. I paid $120 plus tip, so I expected a professional haircut and a much better result. I contacted my stylist, Michael, afterward and asked for a refund because I did not feel comfortable having him cut it again. I did not receive a response to my refund request. I'm attaching photos because they show the haircut better than I can describe it. I'm very disappointed both with the service and with how my concern was handled afterward.

I've been burned before. Somewhere along the way, I've been programmed to think scarcity of availability for salons means they're better quality, since the appointments are seemingly more in demand. Thankfully, my nerves were quickly quelled. Emily was so kind, personable, and NORMAL. She didn't make me feel uncomfortable, the salon was welcoming and the color service? Phenomenal. There's a moment during a foil color treatment where you have no idea what you're going to look like in 10 minutes. Not a clue. It's a kind of stress and anxiety that's hard to explain unless you've already personally experienced the bowl rinse out after a color treatment. Wondering, have I just made a terrible mistake? This is my new spot. The foil came off, the rinse completed, and after the blow dry I looked in the mirror and couldn't believe it. I looked..like...myself! The self I remembered from before kids! It came out of nowhere and was very disorienting. When I reminded her of the discount, she made something up on the spot about how the new higher price still reflected the discount. It was super shady and vague and I felt extremely uncomfortable. I could not leave because my head was wrapped in foil and bleach when she chose to announce this change. The color also did not come out the way we had discussed and she pretty much rushed me out of the chair while we were still within our appointment window and kept making passive aggressive jabs about how she had other clients coming in and how she should charge me even more. It's clear that she was disorganized and had not planned her schedule well and was taking that urgency out on her clients. I found the experience to be unprofessional and baffling and will not be returning.

I walked out with an uneven, unfinished haircut and was left shocked by how I was treated. No client should ever be humiliated for expressing concern about their own hair. I'm going gray, and strategized a blending plan with Crystal and she's been moving me from dye red to natural dark blonde w/ highlights to blend the gray. She alleviated my worries in making the transition, and hasn't been overly pushy on pricey highlights. She did them in a way that I wouldn't need touch-ups/to get them done regularly, in fact. She also told me what toner/developer to buy from Sally's to tone my hair between appointments, which I really appreciate. I can't believe how much I love my (mostly natural) hair now! I understand how long it lasts depends on how often I wash my hair, but I only wash my hair 1-2 times a week. I'm very disappointed that I threw money in the trash. Also, she claimed that it doesn't smell and it smelled awful for the first month minimum every time I washed and blow dried my hair.

I used Monique to give me beautiful extensions for my wedding. I was terrified of getting extensions and ruining my hair but knew I really wanted them for my big day. I went to a few different places for consults and did not feel comfortable with anyone but Monique. She helped me figure out the extension type that was best for my hair (we ended up choosing tape-ins) and helped me plan exactly when to put them in before my wedding. She did an amazing job. I got so many compliments and no one could even tell they were extensions. She was quoted a 6-hour timeline, but ended up trapped in the salon for a grueling 12 hours (9 AM to 9 PM). The real shock came at checkout when she was hit with an astronomical bill of $1,800, which came out to $2,300 after a 20% tip that she felt completely obligated to give because of the pure time spent by the stylist Sai. Worse than the price, her hair was severely damaged by the aggressive process. Her natural curl pattern was completely stripped, and the hair began breaking off any time she touched, brushed, or styled it. When we asked the owner, Sai, for guidance on professional deep conditioning or repair treatments to help recover from this, she simply told us to buy a retail bonding line and offered zero actual support or follow-up assistance. For thousands of dollars, you expect high-end expertise and client care, but my wife left with ruined hair and no support. We will not be returning.
