During my vehicle purchase, the sales representative, Nelson Pineda Rodriguez, in direct collusion with a third-party entity called Legend Services, ran an insurance scam under my name. ​I was illegally charged an unauthorized fee of $350.00 USD under the false pretense of a "down payment" for an auto insurance quote. Here are the facts: ​Document Forgery: They generated an insurance quote and stamped a signature in my name without my authorization, knowledge, or legal consent. This is blatant identity theft and forgery. ​Stolen Funds: My actual auto insurance provider later confirmed that they never received a single penny of this $350.00 payment. The money collected at Toyota of North Miami was completely pocketed and unaccounted for, forcing me to pay my full premium separately to my real insurer. ​Unlicensed Activity: To make matters worse, I discovered that the individual operating on behalf of Legend Services at the dealership does not even hold a valid, active insurance agent license in the State of Florida. ​Operating an insurance brokerage without a license, forging customer signatures, and taking money under false pretenses are serious criminal offenses. When I bought my Dakota red telecaster from 1965, I admit that I also pictured a Dakota red classic Mustang from a similar era. I was actually in the market for a new acoustic and with the help of Jeff, tried a number of the new guitars for sale. I didn't buy one that day because I was still looking and visiting stores in south Florida. I think more than any purchase, you have to physically play a guitar to see if it fits you and the sound is appealing. I suppose a lot of people collect guitars without the intent to play them and that's fine, too. The cars are pretty impressive - reminded me of James Bond movies. And the wide range of electric and acoustic guitars are equally impressive; every one of the them has a story to tell. They also sell used and new amplifiers and other merch (including a Cafe!); I'm thinking of bringing in my amplifier for consignment.

I also like the concept of being able to sell or buy a car in a retail store rather than having to go to a state licensed automotive dealership. Matter of fact, after seeing Tesla's set up and retail operation, I would really tend to have a take a lot of exceptions all of Florida's rather archaic six class dealership licensing structure. It would also seem to me that the opposition by these dealerships against Tesla's operations are motivated not in the interests of the consumer but in selfish self-interests with little other purpose or intent than to stifle market competition. That aside, and though I have visited big and better set up Tesla stores, this one is pretty nice and their vehicle product, though not suited to my needs, of the highest quality of an automotive product I've ever seen. The sales staff is well informed, exceptionally polite and not in the least bit pushy or abrasively aggressive are those of the sales staff one commonly encounters at franchised automotive dealerships.
