The repair bill ended up being more than I could afford at the time -- around $1,700 -- and I've been doing everything I possibly can to recover my truck ever since. Unfortunately, Eastside has made the process extremely difficult, and it feels intentional. They are refusing to let me retrieve the title from the glovebox, which I need in order to secure a loan to pay off the bill. That's the most straightforward and logical solution -- let me get the title, pay the bill, and move on -- but instead, they've essentially blocked every attempt I've made to resolve this. My truck is worth over $14,000, and it feels like they're trying to let the bill grow with storage fees so they can ultimately take ownership of the truck and profit off the situation. It comes across as extremely manipulative and dishonest. This has devastated me and my family. I'm a working father of six children, and that truck is my only means of transportation and income. The way Eastside has handled this shows a complete lack of compassion, professionalism, or ethical standards. They've taken advantage of a tough situation and made it worse -- and the ones who suffer most are my kids. I would strongly urge caution to anyone considering doing business with Eastside Towing & Recovery. I would not recommend it to anyone!
