The repair bill ended up being more than I could afford at the time -- around $1,700 -- and I've been doing everything I possibly can to recover my truck ever since. Unfortunately, Eastside has made the process extremely difficult, and it feels intentional. They are refusing to let me retrieve the title from the glovebox, which I need in order to secure a loan to pay off the bill. That's the most straightforward and logical solution -- let me get the title, pay the bill, and move on -- but instead, they've essentially blocked every attempt I've made to resolve this. My truck is worth over $14,000, and it feels like they're trying to let the bill grow with storage fees so they can ultimately take ownership of the truck and profit off the situation. It comes across as extremely manipulative and dishonest. This has devastated me and my family. I'm a working father of six children, and that truck is my only means of transportation and income. The way Eastside has handled this shows a complete lack of compassion, professionalism, or ethical standards. They've taken advantage of a tough situation and made it worse -- and the ones who suffer most are my kids. I would strongly urge caution to anyone considering doing business with Eastside Towing & Recovery. I would not recommend it to anyone! If you want to use this company get ready to be scammed. GEICO sent Eastside towing when my battery…read morewent dead. The driver took 1 and 20 minutes to arrive. He popped my hood and hook up his battery booster. I tried to crank car but it was only clicking. He had me try to crank car a few more times. He came to my window and showed me a series of lights on the booster and told my wife and I that the battery was fully charged. While under my hood he for some reason checked my oil when not ask to. He fanagield around under the hood for a few minutes and said well, I guess I'll have to tow car. I knew at that point I was being scammed. I told him no to towing. He had a attitude and got in his truck and rushed off. While he was there and having me try to crank the car would at least click. After he hooked up his booster and he rushed off the car would not do anything. No click of nothing. Makes us wonder what he did.. After he tried to get me to tow and he rushed off a nice lady pulled up beside us. I ask her if she had jumper cables and she said yes. I hooked up her Jumper cables and immediately the car cranked right up.
