When a national florist flaked out on Mother's Day. Expressions (local Gahanna independent florist) saved the day. Daughter in Austin TX, placed Mom's day order two weeks ago. Friday before Mother's Day got the message.... "We regret to inform you....". I had never used Expressions before, but walked right in and could see that they were all hands on deck. While the owner worked the phone she asked what I was looking for. I spotted an arrangement that was in the cooler that looked very close to the one my daughter had ordered and it was the same price point. Daughter loved it as did Mom. My wedding is in less than a month and we have contacting them at least 3 to 4 times and no one has returned my phone calls or emails to follow up from over a month ago when we visited. If you're wanting communication with a company. This is Not the place to go. We should have went and seen another company right after we meet with them. Our fault for thinking this was a place of business for weddings. We found a person who immediately contacted us with a quote after we left. So if you don't want added stress and last minute switch ups. I definitely do Not recommend you wasting your time with them. read more

I'm so pleased with the service from this shop. I ended up placing two orders in the same week and both turned out great. One was an order of sympathy flowers and due to the season I told her the style the recipient would like but gave them creative freedom on the flowers. The recipient called to tell me how beautiful her flowers were. It put a smile on her face, and I appreciate that so much. The second order was a last minute request.... My husband was taking our little one to her first father-daughter dance and I wanted to get a corsage! They put together a gorgeous little corsage perfect for a 5 year old with one day notice. Unfortunately our daughter ended up with the stomach bug that day and couldn't go.... But she wore her corsage all day! read more

I just wanted to say that I needed a last-minute gift to get my boss so I have passed the shop many times and never went in but always curious. I decided that I would go in to see what they have and was pleasantly surprised. I noticed that the store had a lot of little trinkets and such besides just flowers and I knew that I would be able to get a gift there easily. I unfortunately It was not greeted by any of the three women working there. I've decided to say hello to the women and only one return hello however neither of them had a smile on their face and the woman saying hello seemed forced.. I asked a question and it seem to be bothering all three of the women. I think that if I would Have dressed to the nines and looking like I had tons of money, I might have been treated a lot better. I am so disappointed and will make sure that I will let people know what kind of service I received from this business and I will never return. You would think that with all the small businesses trying to survive, this store would excel on customer service however this place was not the case. I myself and I encourage others that are looking for a nice florist please, give your business to another florist who treats you with exceptional customer service because chances are their business depends on it not like this particular business that didn't seem to care Sincerely Michelle Fisher read more

I live in California and have had poor results online sending flowers to my daughter that lives in Ohio so I called Expression Florists and talked to the owner to send a nice bouquet. I asked her to be creative with her best flowers and apparently she did a "fantastic" job according to my daughter and her coworkers as they were just delivered to her place of work. Thanks so much for helping me celebrate my daughter's birthday!! Rachel said she could smell the flowers even before she saw them when they were delivered to her desk. Bravo Zulu...job well done! read more

There probably aren't enough good things to say about Expressions. From out of town, I searched for a florist in the Columbus, Ohio area and picked them. Best decision I have made in a long time. I selected an arrangement from their website and phoned. The owner answered and assured me the flowers would be delivered for my niece's birthday. Of course this was happening as Corvid19 was devastating our country. She and I chatted as she told me business was down and she would be forced to close for awhile. She actually delivered the flowers herself after she closed the store, hopefully for just a short period of time. Dealing with her was such a nice experience. When our lives get back to normal I highly recommend Expressions for your floral needs. 5 stars is about 10 too few! read more

I utilized this shop to send flowers to my sister in law from my brother who unfortunately is unable to deliver flowers himself as I'm sure he would've prefer, but due to circumstances this was the best option. Anyhow, I placed order a couple days before and was nervous to find out how it would play out given that I'm not from the area. I searched for flower shops in the area and decided to go with Expressions. As they say, you get what you pay for. The arrangement looked nothing to what my sister in law received. Also, some of the flowers looked dead and to top it off, they only sent 1 Mylar ballon when I paid for 2. I do understand things get overlooked but I feel like things went the way they did because they knew I was from out of state and maybe thought they can get away with it. I'll definitely be considering other shops next time. I really wanted to like this place only because I called to inquire about something prior to placing order and service was good that's why the 2 stars.Save yourself an embarrassment and look elsewhere. Update.. After contacting the owner via email and receiving no response, I decided to give her a call. She did apologize, however, she told me the flowers where not dead, they "were open" now I'm no florist by all means but there's a difference between a dead flower and an open flower. Open flowers don't have BROWN spots unless they have signs of decomposition. read more

I ordered an arrangement over the internet for my daughter who lives in Gahanna, Ohio (I'm in Cleveland). I had to change the delivery date twice and they were nothing but great! They were so nice about date changes and very helpful. Thank you Expression Florists! read more

Expressions Floral Design gets 5 stars because Yelp won't let me give them 10 gold stars, or 100 diamond stars for that matter. Today way my third experience using Expressions, and they have yet to disappoint me. In the past I have done my ordering in advanced, but today I did it spur of the moment and last minute, and with requested haste. They were fast, prompt, very friendly, they delivered perfectly again, and are even willing to print my slightly twisted requests on the cards(every time). The staff is cool and makes great arrangements also! Thanks! read more

Received a mothers Day arrangement on Saturday and it is still gorgeous five days later! Thank you for the great customer service!

Had an issue with some flowers for a wedding and was cut off mid-sentence describing what had happened. I was shocked when the florist was so defensive, snarky, and rude. Was essentially told I was bothering her on thier busiest week of the year. They made no attempt to make it right. No apologies. Really, business must be good to be able to turn customers away. We will go elsewhere in the future. read more
