I read some of the reviews here and don't get some of the comments. Sure, it's a hole in the wall located between a liquor store and a donut shop, but there's nothing sketchy about it or the area. It's what I would call... sparsely decorated. It's not the kind of place you go to enjoy the ambience since it caters to the takeout lifestyle. However, if you want your wings piping hot, this place is great to stop in and enjoy with a cold drink. I don't know about the & More part, since I didn't try anything off the wings menu, but a dude came in who clearly was a regular, who got the burger as his "usual". So maybe? I enjoyed all the flavors I tried like the dry rub lemon pepper and the medium hot garlic sauce. Only thing I didn't really like was the soggy celery sticks. I've been by this place numerous times and glad I finally stopped in to try it. I was going to get a to-go order, but it was practically empty inside which made indoor dining feel pretty safe.

Tiny, tiny wings from Express Wings Alpharetta

Tiny, tiny wings! This place started some 10 years ago and has slowly gone downhill. They now have the smallest wings possible. The insult is that they claim that the size is dependent on their vendor. I hate people who throw out senseless answers that insult one's intelligence. Anyone over 18 knows that items like wings , shrimp, eggs, crablegs, scallops......... are ordered by not just quantity but also by size and quality. Adding insult to injury, we ordered a large quantity of wings for our Superbowl party 5 days before, only to arrive at their scheduled pickup time and have to wait 30 minutes for our order. This place has built a customer base, and now they cut corners and offer lower quality products. WHAT A WAY TO APPRECIATE THOSE WHO SUPPORT YOUR BUSINESS!!!

Good food for a sketchy little wing place! The wings are crispy and cooked to perfection. The medium heat flavor was great, just spicy enough. The lemon pepper was tasty as well. I can't comment too much on the fries, we got it to-go so the fries were not very crispy. The jalapeño poppers were delicious, I haven't had one in years. They're just the ones you buy from the freezer section of a grocery store but they're freshly fried to order.

Nasty and over priced. The wings are small and dry!!! You have to buy the fries separately, AND THEY ARE SOGGY and gross. The carrots were good, and the lady at the counter was pretty decent, hence the 2 stars instead of 1. I have no desire to come back here. $9 for 6 small, dry hotwings and a soggy order of fries? No thank you

Best in town. Unless you like those huge turkey sized teradactosaurus wings. Straightforward, fried crisp. Good fries, too!

Burger was not tasty, fries too salty. Wings were mangy and meatless. There are better options in the area.

--Location/Parking-- Located in Hardware restoration…read moreshopping center with a Shake Shack and other smaller businesses. Plenty of parking, I recommend parking near the Hardware storation store because the parking allows for easy access in and out. --Ambience-- Similar to other Dave's Hot Chicken except the side entrance if you enter from that direction, customers may end up missing the ordering line setup on the left side of the restaurant. Only thing I wish they would fix their touch screen so you can see when you order was available. --Service/Staff-- Shoutout to the cashier with hijab that gave me recommendations on my order from spice level to customizing the side orders. --Products/Service-- Spicy bites and the sliders were the show stopper. Recommendations from the cashier helped narrow down the selection. I recommend speaking to her before placing your order. She was fast and efficient in getting the line through. I wish there were more dedicated employees like her. --Capacity-- Indoor capacity can hold 60+ people with plenty of seating. --Overall-- Recommended for all hot chicken lovers, the spice and sauce from their secret receipe and mixture with ranch sauce is the sweet spot.

This was our first time here so we decided to get the sampler platter. It comes with drums, wings, bulgogi fries, potstickers, street corn, and coleslaw. We wanted to try a few things. We got spy garlic and spicy sauce on the side. The food came out quick - and it was a lot. We ended up having to get a to-go box. Everything was good, but our favorites were the potstickers, the drums and bulgogi fries. The coleslaw was a nice light finish too. The three of us could t finish it and took 2 of the 4 wings home with us. The service was friendly start to finish and we all agreed we'd be back!

Running errands near Avalon took a sharp and unexpected turn the moment I spotted Bonchon. To say I…read morewas excited would be an understatement. This is the kind of place I used to frequent back in the San Francisco Bay Area, the kind of food that does not just satisfy a craving but completely takes over your mood. I am fairly certain my driving became questionable for a moment as I made a very committed turn into the parking lot. Walking in felt like a reunion I did not know I needed. Korean fried chicken, done right, is a very specific kind of joy. It is crispy, it is loud, and it does not apologize for it. Bonchon delivers on all of that. We went big and ordered the 30 piece boneless mix with soy garlic and Korean BBQ, because restraint did not feel appropriate for the occasion. The chicken came out exactly how I remembered it. Perfectly double fried with that signature crunch that somehow stays intact even under a generous coating of sauce. The soy garlic had that sweet savory balance that keeps you reaching for just one more piece, and the Korean BBQ brought a deeper, slightly smoky flavor that made it impossible to pick a favorite. It was less of a meal and more of a full experience. We also added pork potstickers with a soy garlic glaze, which felt like the correct life decision. Crispy edges, tender filling, and just enough glaze to make them disappear faster than intended. At some point I stopped pretending I was sharing. The place itself was spectacularly clean, which immediately stood out. The only hiccup came with the service. The staff were not unfriendly, but they were occupied at the register and did not notice that our order had been sitting behind them for a bit. We eventually walked over to check if it was ours. That extra wait took a little away from the experience, and the chicken was not quite as crisp as it should have been by the time we got it. It is the only reason this lands at four stars instead of five. There is something about finding a place you loved from another chapter of your life in a completely different state. It feels like a small win. My husband may not have been convinced that seventy eight dollar shorts were a good investment, but I would argue this detour more than made up for it. If you are anywhere near Alpharetta and have even a passing appreciation for fried chicken that takes itself seriously, this place still absolutely delivers. My heart, and my appetite, were very content.

The food here is genuinely excellent--some of the best Korean fried chicken I've had in Atlanta…read more The skin is incredibly crispy, the meat is tender and juicy, and the chicken is clearly butchered and cooked with care. The sauces are a real highlight, especially the gochujang-based one, which was absolutely phenomenal. They're generous with the sauce, too, which adds even more flavor to an already well-executed dish. That said, it's hard to ignore the price point. This is easily the most expensive Korean fried chicken spot I've been to. While the quality justifies the cost to an extent, it's still a noticeable jump from other similar places. And while the chicken is very good, it's not necessarily the best in Atlanta--though it's definitely in the top tier. Another thing that stood out was the lack of lower-cost or smaller portion options. There were only half and whole birds available, with no quarter bird or sandwich options, which makes it difficult for someone looking for a more affordable or lighter meal. It feels like they're missing an opportunity to appeal to a broader lunch crowd. In short: it's pricey, but you're getting high-quality, expertly prepared Korean fried chicken. Just be prepared to spend a bit more--and maybe come hungry.
