I book car, do online check in with all my details, in order to secure a smooth check in. At arrival I had to do redo all paperwork, that took another 60 minutes. Then we went outside and car I ordered or anything similar was not ready, they scrambled to get me a car, another 40 minutes elapsed. When I started to complain, they told me they doing everything to get me a car , this after I pre booked, paid, did online check in , and close to another 90 min wait. They still have not refunded me , I uber to hotel , and arranged car rental with Enterprise and went down like a dream . So Alamo bye to you forever and good luck to manager Grace

Alamo Rent-A-Car in Memphis…read more From start to finish, our experience with Alamo in Memphis was top-notch! Marcus got us off on the right foot by helping us find the perfect vehicle for our family reunion a Honda Odyssey, which was a fantastic upgrade from the Pacifica we originally expected. The real star of the show was Miss June, who made us feel like family from the moment we met her. She not only welcomed us with open arms literally but also gave us fantastic recommendations for local restaurants and attractions. It was like getting a warm Memphis welcome from a long-lost relative! When we returned the car, Victor ensured everything wrapped up smoothly, making the entire process seamless. All in all, we had an extremely positive experience. Five stars, hands down, for the wonderful team and the fantastic service at Alamo in Memphis got my pictures I would have more but Mrs. June got me wrapped up in her stories I wish I recorded it...

National has never let me down. Every time I've rented with them, the experience has been smooth,…read morereliable, and hassle-free. For this trip, I decided to try Enterprise because the neighborhood location was more convenient. I confirmed my reservation the day before and even completed the online check-in. Then, just 3 1/2 hours before my scheduled pickup, I received a call saying they didn't have a vehicle available. There was no solution offered--just a canceled reservation and a last-minute scramble to find a car for a one-way, long-distance trip. I immediately opened the National app, booked a vehicle, and had absolutely no issues. What's most surprising is that Enterprise and National are part of the same company, yet the customer experience couldn't have been more different. National once again proved why they've earned my loyalty with their reliability and consistency. When I need a rental car, I want confidence that it will actually be there--and National continues to deliver.

Not happy with how this branch treated me and how it chooses to enforce its policies. For context…read moreMemphis is an area i travel to frequently for work and have had 10+ rentals from this location in particular. I arrived from a late flight and provided my documentation upon exit from the garage, and this branch chose to deny me my rental because of my temporary drivers license being slightly older than 30 days old (delay from DMV, but temporary license was still valid and would remain valid for the duration of the agreement.) This policy in and of itself i find ridiculous to arbitrarily decide when to honor a government issued document that hasn't expired, nonetheless i would accept this if the policy was well communicated. Nationals corporate policy states it accepts temporary drivers licenses as long as you provide additional forms of ID (i provided both my original expired license and passport with the temporary paperwork). The corporate policy is all focused on verifying identity, which i provided adequately. Unfortunate this how this branch chooses to treat its loyal customers.

I reserved a mid sized suv and ended up with a small piece of junk suv. Seriously? Also the older Black guy with the salt and pepper beard at the checkout gate before you leave the parking lot is rude as hell. The younger gentleman I had to see at that same gate (I had to visit the exit gate twice) the first time was very nice and helpful. The reason I had to go to the gate twice is because before getting the smaller vehicle they put me in the first one and as soon as I drove just a few feet the dashboard lights came on letting me know there were issues with it. Surely you guys knew this before putting the car back on the lot. So I had to keep going to the checkout gate and loop back around. I WILL NOT use Hertz again. Oh one last thing - when I booked I used my debit card. Imagine my dismay when I finally got to the front of the line to learn that I needed a credit card to pay OR they would pull $500 off my debit card plus do a credit check. What in the absolute fuck?! Luckily I had a credit card with me. Update - when I returned the car I happened to pass an employee and asked him if they had a lost and found area. Long story short he was willing to go over and look for something for me and had a pleasant and helpful attitude. He didn't end up looking because to me it seemed like it would be too much of an inconvenience for a small thing that may not have even been in there anyway, so I told him not to worry about it. He was super nice though. For that reason im raising this review to two stars.
