I believe Jason is co-owner and he was our instructor for the full ACLS course. This is the only place I found that offers ACLS full course in one (long) day. The price is the lowest I found: $180 for ACLS full course plus $40 for BLS add on. I was worried it would be a fly-by-night kind of place but it was very professional and everything from the facilities to the customer service, the website and the instruction was top notch. Jason is an RN and has lots of real-world experience running codes which is invaluable in instructing ACLS and running the megacodes. He was patient and did not cut corners. My friend and I had to renew our CPR License quickly before our start date to work in an outpatient clinic. This class was easy to find, quick, convenient and weirdly fun. Our instructor Chris made the class enjoyable, efficient, and made sure we were comfortable with all the skills needed to perform CPR on kids and adults. You get your CPR cards right away and a sweet little case protector for it. Definitely recommend this class to anyone. As a former BLS instructor myself, I can't say enough great things about this company: The scheduling is easy to navigate through the website and the registration process only takes a few minutes. They have dates and times that easily accommodate almost any schedule. I was able to have a class scheduled the next day that fit my availability. The facilities are outstanding. The office is clean and well maintained. The mannequins appear to be new and are clean and sterilized. The mannequins even have lights that show you that you have the correct rate and depth on chest compressions - pretty cool. Tommy is a phenomenal instructor. He's clear, concise and makes the material easy to understand. He is attentive to his customers' needs and takes the time to make sure that everyone understand the material before moving on. He is well-spoken and very knowledgable of the subject matter. I took the test alongside someone who had never taken a BLS course before and we both received 100% - a clear indication of the level of service Tommy provided. I was looking for a renewal course for my BLS certification in a short window of time before I left the area for an internship. I signed up online an hour before the class and had no trouble with getting in. Chris was the instructor and he was awesome. I love that the class only had 3 people in it. It allowed us to each work on our own mannequin and have the experience versus other courses I have took where it is one mannequin to 4-5 people. I've taken ACLS and BLS courses for many years as a critical care nurse, but none as engaging, informative and interactive as those at Express Training Solutions. My current hospital doesn't use AHA for its resuscitation, so I needed to seek out private instruction to maintain my credentials. Now, I'll never rely on a hospital AHA training again so long as I'm in San Diego! Hospitals may pay for your AHA courses on site, but I promise you won't get nearly the quality of education as you do at Express Training Solutions. I had a BLS course there 6 months ago, and did my ACLS and PALS yesterday. David was by far the most helpful, knowledgeable, and supportive instructor I've ever had. These folks really know their stuff, and offer unique ways to remember critical information when you're under pressure. Been coming here for years, when I was a CNA, LVN, now RN. They know their stuff. They follow AHA guidelines of teaching, but they also put a human touch to it. I took my ACLS here (even though my work requires our own yearly Emergency Standing Orders written and skills test). But I've recommended to my sister and she has recommended it to her friends and we all had a great experience. Since I was doing a renewal, I opted for the online test and then you come in to do a skills test. The owner (sorry I forgot your name!) who did the testing made it comfortable and easy! I don't have to rethink where I'm going to renew my ACLS next year. He even offers to go over all the rhythms if you want more practice if desired. Prices are great. Cheaper than where I took it 2 years prior. I looked up rates for next year and it still has one of the best prices. My only gripe, which isn't their fault is that the business office they are located in does not have an elevator and they are on the 2nd floor. This isn't a deterrence for me, but it could be a complication for someone with a handicap, such as in a wheelchair, or with crutches, etc. I had a stroller with me that day as my baby was an infant so my hubby and son weren't able to wait for us. read more

This place is great. I was a little nervous about taking ACLS, but the instructor made it fun. I also feel like I learned A LOT from him. Most ACLS classes are two days long, but ETS lets you do it in one day... that was a major plus. The space was nice, the equipment was in good repair.
