This place is great. I was a little nervous about taking ACLS, but the instructor made it fun. I also feel like I learned A LOT from him. Most ACLS classes are two days long, but ETS lets you do it in one day... that was a major plus. The space was nice, the equipment was in good repair. I did a BLS class there a couple of months ago and it was well done. The instructor was patient and thorough and I would highly recommend them for BLS certification. A couple of weeks I went to do my IV therapy class and it wasn't up to the level of what many of us expected that day. The owner, John, personally called and emailed us (as well as all the others) and offered a free make up class at our convenience. I went back today and it was excellent. Lots of hand on skills training that followed a PowerPoint presentation (and hand outs). I'm planning to register for my ACLS certification here in a few days. I highly recommend this company. I just completed my BLS renewal class. Who knew this class could be so enjoyable? The instructor, David, was knowledgeable, funny, and knew how to pace the course so the student's could absorb the material. He also gets an A+ for his test anxiety reduction techniques. If you have any issues with taking tests, this is the BLS class for you. I'm looking forward to taking additional classes at this school. Learning doesn't get much better than this! read more

I took ACLS & PALS (traditional classroom initial course), NRP, & the Basic ECG Course based on my coworker's recommendations. It was a stress-free learning experience. The instructors are very knowledgeable, entertaining, and approachable. They encourage students to ask questions and explain difficult concepts in an imaginative and easy-to-understand manner. The classes are small. There's coffee in the lounge. The nearby bathrooms are pretty clean. They have pens and blank papers should you need them. The only con is that there are no Basic Fetal Heart Monitoring classes currently being offered. Overall, it's an awesome place to get your certifications. read more

The staff is very accommodating, polite and well organized! The company I work for rented a classroom at this facility for a week. Every morning we were greeted by staff and a VERY clean classroom! Completed the full course ACLS with the BLS add on. Courses were easy to book online, and the subsequent emails were clear about what was required both prior to and on the day with helpful study guides. The facility was easy to find with plenty of off street parking available. The Office was spacious, clean and professional with the course instructor Peter at the desk with sign in sheets and information on the facility. The courses themselves were well run, organized and really enjoyable, with space to ask questions. The scenarios, which I normally freak out over, were clear and taught in a way that induced calm not panic! The instructor Peter was knowledgeable and had a way of imparting the material that put you at ease and acknowledged the experience each participant brought with them. The AHA cards and Continuing Education certificate were available before leaving the facility! Overall an excellent experience and will be choosing these guys to do updates with in the future! read more

Just completed my BLS certification/recertification course today with Patrick. I've attended renewal course in four different places in San Diego, and this one has been my favorite so far. It was super easy to book a class online. The price was reasonable - $50 (but they provide 10% discount for healthcare works, students, etc). There was ample parking spaces. I was also very impressed how well they handled sanitation and precautions during COVID. The class size was limited to 7 people including myself. They cleaned all the equipment before we practiced on them. Everyone wore a face mask and they even ask that you step outside if you need to take off your mask to drink water. I was 6 ft away from others at all times and felt very safe attending the course. The instructor was very knowledgeable but also silly/fun to help the 4 hr course go by a bit faster. The class alternates between AHA videos and in-person practice then at the end there's a written exam and you get your card by email. The exam was moderate difficulty but the instructor prepared us well for it plus it was open book/notes so you can always look back on the stuff they taught you and ask questions. If I'm still in San Diego in two years I'll definitely be back to this place for my recertification. read more

Came to renew my BLS with the intention of getting it done and over with. I was feeling under the weather but overall Chris made the class really enjoyable, productive and easy to follow. I enjoyed the almost one-to-one interaction along with one other person and there was no pressure when it came to practicing the skills. I had no problem bringing up questions and concerns throughout the class. Courses were easy to book online and directions to the site were not hard to follow. Classroom and break room were clean and organized, with muffins, coffee, and water offered for snacks. I did my BLS training here and loved it. I seriously walked out feeling like I could totally save someone's life if I had to perform CPR on them! Not once did I feel stressed out, nervous, or confused during the training. Their class format is awesome because you get to practice hands-on after having each concept explained to you. At the end, it all comes together and you become a CPR pro! Chris was super clear, and it helps that he is also nice and funny. My experience at Express Training Solutions was hands-down the best BLS for Providers class I've ever taken! As a healthcare instructor myself, I can say that John has got it down to a science. His teaching style is effective, clear and straight to the point. Moreover, he focuses on the key aspects of AHA's standards as well as real-life scenarios.
