I live in Allegheny County, which does not have a Boscov's, so this particular location in Beaver County is the closest to me. For at least a few years, I have shopped occasionally in this store. I would describe Boscov's as being between Macy's and JCPenney in quality. Products are often name-brand and designer and are often on sale for low prices. I always shop in multiple departments but focus mostly on the junior's and misses's sections of clothing, which are quite large and take much time to search through. During my most recent visit, I chose a thermal/waffle shirt that was on sale for only $7. I was standing in line at a cash register when an employee told me that I could go to her cash register a short walk away. I appreciated that she did not make me wait to be served. She correctly rang up my purchase and thanked me.

When I shopped here, the store was having a 50%-off sale! Wow! Unfortunately, most of the clothing was in colors that do not look the best on me--brown, black, beige, and olive green. I would prefer that the store offer clothing in colors that flatter different women's skin tones. Nonetheless, I did find some clothes in my preferred colors of blue, grey, and green. As for service, an employee interacted nicely with me.

Well, the store is currently in a temporary location. It was a very large space with awkwardly placed fitting rooms and feels very cold and empty compared to a typical permanent location. For years I have occasionally shopped for clothing at Anthropologie. I think that the styles are creative and that the clothing is well-made. As other reviewers have noted, the prices are higher than what some other stores charge, but the quality is high, and the store has a sale section that most people could afford. During my most recent visit, I browsed around the store for minutes, and then an employee asked me if I needed any assistance--while very obviously looking me up-down. Eek! My household income is in the top 1%, but I was wearing middle-class attire such as HOKA (which Anthropologie sells!) and The North Face. I think that her verbal communication was fine but that her nonverbal communication could improve. I saw a dress and shirt that I liked, but I did not buy them. I think that I will shop through their website.

She saw us shopping around for bras and I think overheard conversation about me having no idea how to size myself for a bra. Jess came over and offered to help me find the correct size (even though I'm a Cincinnatian), measured me, put me in a dressing room and brought multiple options for me to try on. Sometimes, being a woman who doesn't fall under the "societal beauty standards" body wise, it can be very intimidating to ask for help when trying to size for anything. She was so incredible, friendly, and non-judge mental. In fact I don't think I felt poorly one time when speaking with her. She mentioned that this store is not the location she actually works at and she was just filling in. I somehow need this message to get to her boss because she absolutely needs a raise- she made my entire day and I would hug her if I could or move her to Cincinnati myself so I never have another negative shopping experience.
