I started out going here just for oil change, which included tire rotation every other change. When it was time for new tires I had Mario price them out and his price was competitive and he gave every other oil change a free rotation, made up the cost difference in less than 10000 miles. Recently I took the car in for brakes and asked him to do all 4, he called and said the rear brakes were good for another 6 months... when was the last time someone didn't try to sell you the extras? Great service. Today I called him because I thought the starter was bad on my car, I explained that I had full battery power for windows, radio, power locks etc... the battery appeared to be fine. At first he referred me to another location that had a towing service and may be able to better help me out. He called back 2 minutes later and suggested that maybe the batter just didn't have the power to turn the starter, we jumped it and I'm going to Farm and Fleet to put a new battery in after work. Not many good, honest people out there and especially when dealing with auto mechanics unfortunately. They always want to sell you an air filter, radiator fluid, coolant, etc... Mario does a great job and is always fair. I try to refer business as much as possible, never feel like I've gotten "bent over" after leaving. read more

Why is it so hard to find an oil change place that does a competent job at a reasonable price? Seriously, this isn't brain surgery folks! I went to this place with a coupon that I had obtained online to get a lube/oil/filter for $19.99. Well apparently this must have perturbed the manager as he proceeded to tell me that they'd be charging me an extra $5 to top off my other fluids (washer fluid and coolant), but I had to reluctantly accept. The next morning when I left to go on a trip I noticed my windshield washer fluid wasn't working, so I checked the reservoir and lo and behold he hadn't topped off the fluid at all (I confirmed that there was no leak). So either he's a crook or merely incompetent, but either way I won't be returning. read more

I have been going to this guy for about a year now. I think the price is extremely good considering it is only an oil change and not a major repair like some place try to charge people. They do not try to up sell you like everyone else does. I had a small problem at the beginning but it could have been my mistake even not sure. They also have a car wash right next door and I prefer to wash the car myself as automatics do not do the best job and this automatic is no different then the rest. If I was not moving away I would continue going here. read more

I went here for 10 years for Oil, Wheels and brakes. All was fine until I needed my OEM tires taken off my stock, but $400/wheel-rim, wheels. Mind you, I am in a club of over 200 gearheads, 1 who is a professional detailer. Each wheel, where leverage would be needed to pull off the tires, had some level of damage. 2 have it every where. This was a result of the guard either slipping and/or being old and unprotective. I had this confirmed by a franchised Goodyear Wheel branch, and not only did the owner and manager say it was fault install but all three of their employees did too--without any hesitation. When I put this before the owner and manager of Diamond, he steadfastly said he didn't think he did it. Well, seeing as though he was the only one EVER to touch my wheels and tires then who? Road rash and curb burn were not possible, per the experts above. It's one thing to make a mistake but to not correct is unprofessional and unconscionable. I'll never go there again and my Racine, Kenosha and Northern IL car club members all will avoid and spread the word; wise if you did too. read more

I Have Been coming to diamond for oil changes and car washes for years now. They have Always done a great, quick, and competitive job. Recently got my struts, bearings, tie rods replaced by them...they Did an amazing job with all that as well. Read the reviews below and either 1) they either don't know a good price for car things as diamond comes in well under anyone else for pricing 2) they don't understand the legality of staying in the car 3) guy can take his coupon somewhere else...my experiences have always been more consistent with the others...Mario has never up-charged for anything and always been honest of when not needing to replace anything. read more

This place is just OK. I've had my oil changed there and their prices are kind of high but they got me in and out pretty quickly with no appointment. Also took my car there because my roters kept warping. They couldn't figure it out and kept suggesting I just get higher quality roters after already spending $300 instead of addressing the real problem. I took it else where to learn my brake pads were of such poor quality they were disintegrating and causing the warping. Good thing I didn't drop another several hundred dollars on another set. The car wash is convenient for me. If you just need small routine things on a tight time schedule this place is OK. Anything above that I'd go elsewhere. read more

I have been a customer for years 3 weeks ago I took my car in for an oil change after I left I noticed a noise in my heater core sounded like water running When I called I asked for the owner was told he left I asked the person was talking to if I should bring it back in he said no its normal I explained it never was like that before I brought in he told me to call back and hung up I will never Take my car to him Again I took to my mechanic He said the coolant level Was very low he check it for leeks none found he said the cap must have been loosened when the did the oil change he also said I was low on oil he said the didn't quit fill all the way He redid the oil change and refilled my coolant read more

I dont know what JM was talking about. Ive been going to this oil change for the past 2 years and always been happy with the service Ive received....coupon or not. The staff is always so nice and respectful. They have manners; use please and thank you and "Sir or Ma'am", which is more than I can say for some of the places I used to use. The manager/owner has never tried to sell me something I didn't need. He has suggested in the past that my air filter or wipers would need replacing in the future, but never made me feel as if it needed to be done that day. That is a great feeling, to know that they aren't trying to needlessly boost their ticket sales at the expense of their customers!! Ive sent many of my friends to this location for oil changes and car repairs and they have also been happy with their service. Check them out....they are great!! read more

I had a flat tire, so I put in a can of fix-a-flat and took it over to Diamond express hoping it was something that could be patched. They told me it was a leaky stem valve and charged $18 to replace it. The next day, it was flat. Diamond told me that I'd have to take the tire off and bring it in. I asked if they'd discount $6 for the second can of fix a flat I'd have to buy to bring my car back in to do the work they should have done the first time, they declined.. So, we went elsewhere. When the new place pulled the tire off there was a very large, very obvious place where fix-a-flat had bubbling out of a hole in the side wall of the tire. If Diamond had bothered to actually look at the tire, they would have realized the problem wasn't the stem valve. Missing something that obvious is a really bad sign, and their refusal to make things right after messing up means there's no chance of me ever going back. read more

I went for complete autodetailing and paid $168. It was one of my bad experience ever with detailing. The car was not even washed properly. It had the same marks which were left earlier which I think a simple car wash would have removed. The interior still had dirt and I had to ask the owner to remove them again. I would never recommend to go again. Not even his detailing but his car wash service sucks too. I took a $10 diamond car wash and guess what the back of my car was never washed. It seems the water knobs just rotated but did not had water in it. It was one of my extreme bad experience for autodetail as well as car wash. Its a NO NO NO to anyone. Please only try if you want to waste money. read more

Went there today for the first and the last time. Oil change was expensive ($35 for standard), they vacuumed my car when I told them not to, and someone stole a few dollars in quarters out of my change tray. Never again, in fact, I might just go somewhere else and check to see if they even changed my oil at all... read more
