I actually love the Express Factory Outlet for a couple of reasons. For one, they always have great prices and their inventory is always full. I can typically find my size every time I go into one of the outlet stores, which can't be said for other stores. And secondly, I love, love, love Express Factory Outlet's options for suits. They have a variety of suit options ranging from fitted to more loose fitting suits, and they have a decent amount of colors to choose from.
I normally go to the Express Factory Outlet in North Conway, but with an upcoming event, I needed a suit fairly quickly and decided to check out the outlet in Kittery. The store is nicely laid out and is organized. I quickly found their suit options, which didn't seem as extensive as the options in North Conway, but I was able to find a fitted suit in a color I liked. The dressing rooms were nicely cleaned and free of clutter.
My problem with this Express Factory Outlet stems from the staff and cashing out. When I walked into the store, the girl that was working gave a very, VERY lackluster "hi" without looking up from her computer screen, and continued doing what she was doing. It's not like I expect an elaborate greeting, but she almost seemed standoffish and never checked to make sure that I was all set when looking for a suit or trying it on in the dressing room. When it was time to cash out, the same worker was assisting me. She rang in all of my items and then I stated I had a 15% off coupon. She rang in the coupon and it didn't work, to which she stated that they had new computers that didn't seem to be working well. With my amount being $200, she got it down by $7 and stated she got it to work. I told her that if I received 15% off, it would be more than $7. She rolled her eyes and continued trying to make it work. 30 minutes later, she decided to override the prices so that I could receive my discount. No apology, no humor, no nothing.
Am I appreciative of her being persistent in giving me the discount? ABSOLUTELY. However, the execution and attitude was something that I could have done without. If Express Factory Outlet wants more customers to be coming to this location, I suggest talking with their employees about customer service. read more
