All were friendly, and they knew the store well. We picked up a couple of sweaters, some underwear and placed a mail order (which was promptly delivered). There's a good stock here: suits, sweaters, pants, coats, casual and dressy, and pretty good discounts on almost everything we looked at. The tore is clean and roomy, lots of free parking outside, and overall ours was a very good experience. This duplicated a visit here last year when we were helped quickly with a return. Thanks, guys.

This store is a pretty good outlet store. They had the…read moreclothing on the displays very well organized and it was easy to find my size for things to try on. The only thing was they didn't really have the style of tops that I was looking for. I wear a lot of tops that are kind of flowy, long like tunics, often with a floral pattern. And that's what I was looking to buy but I didn't see any items of this type. I did find a couple of tops in solid colors that were just short sleeved tops so I grabbed them and headed to the fitting room. One of them did look good on me so I decided to purchase it. I got to the cash register and there was only one cashier working who was helping a customer who needed an item shipped to her. They even had to leave the register area to go onto the sales floor and find an item that was to be shipped. So I was there for maybe about 6 or 7 minutes waiting for my item to be rung up and a small line of customers started to build. I would think that a cashier who was in the middle of a transaction that was going to take some time would call for additional help at the register area but I am guessing that they are short on help since these days it seems that everywhere I go there are help wanted signs and pretty much the whole country is shorthanded. So I always try to be patient and appreciate the people who did show up to work. I did see a couple of other people working at the store but one was way in the back of the store and would never be able to see a line forming and the other person looked to be in the middle of something. While I was waiting to be helped I browsed the little bins that they have at the register area that have items for sale such as accessories, beauty items, candy bars, bagged candy and what not. I found a couple of candy bars that I liked and so I grabbed them and I saw a bag of candy corn which I bought for my mother who was outside in the car waiting for me. Finally one of the other people on the sales floor did come over and hop onto a register because the original cashier had completed the transaction that she was involved in and had to leave the register to go to another area of the store. The cashier that I had helping me was pleasant and rang in my items quickly and efficiently. I would definitely come back here and shop. Just hopefully next time they'll have more items in the style that I am looking for. But nice location, polite workers, neat, clean, well organized.

Merchandise is different every time you go, and you usually have to be prepared to do some rooting around to perhaps find something close to what you were looking for, or things you hadn't budgeted for at all. Don't think I've ever left with an empty buggy. Today I was looking for some frames and/or shadow boxes. No boxes, other than some really big ones that were nice, but far too large for my purposes. Got a couple nice frames. One from the clearance aisle. Managed to get out for under $20. I think that's a first for me. ;) The store was clean and well organized. Couple of associates on the floor pretty much ignored me. I wasn't looking for help, though an acknowledgement would have been good customer service, but the cashier was very friendly. There had been a bit of a lineup at checkout. They quickly brought another staff member up to help out. Good response so people aren't waiting longer than necessary.

The sales floor wasn't very fully stocked and I understand that it's an outlet and it gets busy but I think if it's slow in the morning that they should have been putting stuff out of the empty racks rather than just talking and hanging out. This is a baby store, yet they didn't have anywhere for me to change my son. He had pooped in the stroller and since there was no where to change him I went out to my car to change him and by that time it had become an extreme blowout that travelled up his whole back. I don't think there is anything special about this store being an "outlet". They have all the current items and the prices are the same as any other Carter's store. However, it is the only Carter's in the area. The staff is super friendly and helpful! I had gotten a bunch of newborn summer clothes at my baby shower, even though my due date is in November. Not everything had tags and I didn't have a gift receipt for some of the items. I was able to exchange these items for store credit. Which I then was able to buy my baby quite a bit of winter clothes. Carter's is a great company that allows you to exchange clothes anytime (from the associate's mouth). If you are in the area and have kids, I would definitely check out this store!

Not that anyone is going to retire from my clothing purchases, but Talbots has received more of my recent spending dollars than any other company. With Talbots, I've shopped online, at outlets, brick and mortar stores, and I'm also in their rewards program. On Wednesday 4/17/2024 I visited the Stratham, NH store to see if I could find a new pair of jeans to jump on the wide-leg trend. After several different styles (Talbots, if you're reading this, please work on your size consistency!), I found a pair I thought I was really happy with and purchased them. The jeans went straight to my closet from the car. On Sunday, 4/21/2024 I decided to wear them to a brunch. I had them on as I was getting ready and started to feel that they were just a bit too big (the pant itself is pretty heavy) and after a 15-20 minutes I decided to wear something else I felt more comfortable in. Sadly for me, I had taken the tags off and tossed them because I really thought they were going to be fun. On Tuesday, 4/23/24 (**six** days later), I brought them back to Talbots really just hoping I could exchange them for a smaller size. The sales associate consulted with the store manager who replied with a hard NO. No exchange, no return, no store credit without the tags. Didn't matter that I had just bought them at that very store just six days previously, she just wouldn't have it. I'm not sure if this is an actual Talbots policy, as this is the first time I've had this situation. It's hard to image that a retail store can't create a tag, but maybe that's true for them? Even still, I was pretty taken aback that Talbots had such a severe return policy, especially for repeat customers. And it's not as if the Talbots name isn't clearly attached to every garment! Those jeans went from Talbots, my home, back to Talbots...that's it. If that truly is your return policy Talbots, you really need to have your sales staff drum that into the heads of every person that buys from you. Needless to say, I will no longer be shopping with Talbots and I'm disappointed by that. Also disappointed that I have a $129.00 pair of jeans that I don't feel comfortable in. If you're a size 6 and want a cute pair of jeans let me know, I'll give you a discount!
