It's a tough decision on this one. It's the last of beautiful department stores in the days gone…read moreby. Still has a jewelry counter and well stocked dresses, gowns, women's, men, kids clothing, housewares, the best bedding department ever and travel items. Mall access. Beautiful clothing, nice fitting rooms, clean store, costume jewelry and shoes to die for. Right now fabulous boots and shoes on sale. The economy has taken its toll with huge areas of markdowns. It pays to be a rewards member and card holder for all the perks. This week sales of a lifetime in many departments, attentive cashiers and helpful. My dilemma is the on going issue with rewards on line system not working in store on several occasions preventing you from using rewards or accumulating with purchase. It happens too often. I called customer service to complain and get my rewards added to my account from my over $200 purchase. Support was helpful, apologetic and added them giving me a case number to show the issue and 48 hrs for those points to hit my rewards- 222 points for spending $222. It made me think all the people who have missed out on their rewards and never acted on it. "The system is down all too frequently spoken". Save your receipt and call Support. Burnsville mall parking lot has taken a hit and filled with potholes. Car companies paying to use vacant parking slots for overstock. That's a good thing if you wanna peak at new cars without the hassle. The owners of the mall not spending any money to help stores access. County Rd 42 open again to access JC Penny.

While dreaming about what stores to hit once I was able to travel again, Kohl's was on my mind. I arrived in the Twin Cities on Black Friday. I had never shopped in a store on Black Friday before, so I did so at Kohl's in Eagan. Later on that evening, I took advantage of placing an order online at Black Friday prices and picking it up at the store. It works for Canadians through the Kohl's app. For my order, most items were at the Eagan store (closest to where I was staying), but one item as only available for pickup at this Kohl's in Burnsville. I got an e-mail notification that my order was ready for pickup and headed over here. What is special about this Kohl's is that it has a Sephora store smack in the middle of it. It's a subset of a typical Sephora, but it does carry items that I buy regularly, from lip balm, to facial cleansers. I spent some time walking around the store. I loved the cool gift ideas section a lot. I ended up getting some goodies and giving them recently to a couple of friends as early Christmas gift exchanges. They were a hit! Specifically, the LED lights that you clip behind your shoes so people can see you at night and The Child comic coasters delighted my gift recipients. I did manage to get some items for me. I got a Mickey Mouse cap. I liked that it was tie-dyed and fit my large head. I also got The Child LED stocking that was neat. I paid for my items at the cashout area. You earn Kohl's rewards by having the barcode scanned from the app. I ended up going back to save 40% off on my next purchase along with $10 off my entire purchase. Nice! I paid with a credit card and the transaction was done. I then headed to customer service to pick up my order. All you do is have the person scan the barcode in your e-mail notification and the staff member fetches your order. So easy. I enjoyed using the pickup option a few times during my trip. There are washrooms in this store. They are next to the Hallmark cards section. The women's washroom was clean. This store has a lot of parking. I spent more time in Burnsville this trip and it was great dropping by this Kohl's. (449)

However; I also love coming randomly throughout the year to get updated clothing items. I typically like to check out under Armour and Nike, the Columbia store also has a separate outlet location as well. Recently, I feel like prices haven't been nearly as good as they used to, but in this economy, who can blame them. I would love to see a little bit more variation in the food court, it's mostly Asian cuisines and Cinnabon. All delicious but would love to see some more options. There's a ton of parking, but if you come on a busy weekend, you may not notice and still have to park far away. Bummed to see some recent retailers, leaving, they've been replaced with stores that my opinion were is great. Overall, a decent shopping trip, it's also in a great location. There's plenty of other stores/eating nearby. I recommend checking out the Twin Cities premium outlets if you haven't been there before.

It's nearly identical to the Aurora Outlet mall back home in Illinois so navigating this building felt like I was back home. There weren't any outdoor vendors, maybe they'll be there in the summer. There was ample amount of parking and a great variety of stores where you could find half of them at the Mall of America itself. This mall is very clean without any riff raff from my visit here. Not the best selection of restaurants from the food court
