I bought the family season pass and I plan on using this pass on a weekly basis. My 8-year-old, 2-year-old and 19-month-old had a blast! On our very 1st visit my children engaged in active play on the same activity. The magnetic wall had all 3 of my children working together and enjoying each other's input. They have never been able to accomplish this anywhere else. As an educator, I am very pleased that Denton has a place where children are encouraged and challenged to learn through play. Play is the work of the child and that is how a child learns to make sense of the world around them. I hope you take this opportunity of intentional learning through play to engage in the activities Explorium has to offer. Don't be afraid to be child-ish, make sure you slide down the play structure slide, I did! All 3 of my children were able to successfully navigate and play on the play structure and other areas, with my guidance of course. To get the best experience, I highly recommend that parents are actively playing and learning with their children. My husband and I took our 5 year old, 3 year old, and 6 month old, and all 5 of us had a blast! There was a great area specified for babies that my 6 month old could crawl around in without being in the way of the bigger kids, and the rest of the museum was great for all ages! There is a specified area for "toddlers", but my 3 year old got to experience the whole museum and had a blast! From the life size chicken coop to the magnetic wall to the real piano, I had a hard time dragging my kids out of there. We will definitely be frequent visitors. The climbing structure is a chicken coop! What a wonder creative idea to help our children gain a new way to talk about the life cycle of a chicken. It is clear that this place is led with passion and love. My daughter enjoyed her first visit so much we are having her birthday party here. The Explorium wasn't ready to host birthday parties when we went to book so the director went above and beyond to make my daughters request come true. She reached out and went the extra mile. A great place to let off a little "S.T.E.A.M." In the month since it opened we have visited twice already and became members. The paper plane table and the air tunnel were huge hits for my 5 year old. We went on a rainy saturday and it wasn't too busy. I loved that there were other kids for him to interact with and they explored and experimented. I know that it took a small army of volunteers to pull this museum together and I can't wait to see what additions, changes happen as the museum grows. read more

Great place for kids of all ages. They have play structures for climbing and sliding which includes a suspended bridge and firefighter pole with safety padding! There is also lots of hands on learning activities where children are able to use their minds and imaginations to build things. Explorium offers a yearly membership for entire families so you can go as many times as you like. My kids can stay and play for hours and they get bored easily if that tells you something ! We have been excited for years for the Explorium to open, and it did not disappoint! There are so many different learning through play options for my kids that we can spend hours there and not do all of the activities! I love that they change it up and introduce new stations each time we come in. I have 3 young boys and they each absolutely love it! This place is awesome! I spent an afternoon with my son and his friends. We had lots of fun. My son had fun working with the electrical circuits in the Make & Think and he and his friends spent a lot of time on the PVC pipe slide. They built forts with the big blue cushions. Everything was hands on. They even had a milking cow. This place challenges you to think and be creative, but the kids just saw it as fun. This is exactly what Denton needed. read more

We had a great time at Explorium! My sons (8 and 4) loved the slide, building blocks, giant Operation table and other activities! They stayed busy for a solid 2 hours while I got to chat with my friend who had her daughter with her also (both 8 and 4 also). I bought a membership and will definitely be back...and my 4 year old wants to have his 5th birthday party at Explorium! We are fans :) read more

I took my granddaughters to Explorium for the very first time after hearing really great comments about the place. The girls, ages 8 and 11 had a terrific time. They loved the slide and fire pole along with the creativity stations. We spent several hours there and they would have stayed longer if we hadn't had other things to get done that day. I am THRILLED to have a children's museum in Denton! This labor of love has paid off for the selfless volunteers and more importantly, the families and children of North Texas. With Explorium Children's Museum Denton continues to delight! This place is brand new and is not only fun for kids but also educational. I really love the Creative use of the space and the fun projects that they schedule for children. It's just like Denton to have something special like this in this great town that is Big but somehow still maintains the charm of a small town. read more

Explorium is amazing! We have watched for years with the brave struggle to get this to an amazing reality! My kids have loved the mobile exhibits at the denton community market, we adored touch a truck, and now that the museum is open, it is so fun! What a wonderful experience! We had so much fun! This place is wonderful! They thought of so many different things to allow children to use their imaginations while learning in a kinetic way! They are very nice and have put a lot of work into opening this place! While there is still work to do, they are continuing to work on bringing more to the museum! read more

This place is AWESOME! My 1.5 year old had so much fun playing and exploring this space. I'm so glad there is a safe, indoor space in Denton where my toddler can learn and grow! We are absolutely in love with this place! I am a nanny for an almost 2 year old boy and his mom and I bring him here a few times a week with the membership. Very organized and well put together. Lots of things for kiddos to play and learn with and super attentive staff. read more
