A wonderful museum for both secular and Christian natural history lovers! Each show scene is carefully designed to explain how scientific research proves Scripture and there's plenty for all ages to enjoy. My fiancé especially loved the immersivw Noah's Ark room and the planetarium show we attended. There is a lecture hall that you can visit for free and we were able to sit in on a 30 minute lecture about Leviathan which was very informative. We will definitely be back!

Took my trach baby to the Discovery Center and had a wonderful time! We went in the am during the week when there were no crowds & practically had the whole place to ourselves. Lots of fun interactive installations and we learned a few new things. It's a great place to learn more about how science helps prove the Bible. Cost was very affordable and I loved that there was enough space to push her wagon around freely w/o worrying about knocking into ppl or things :)

Exhibit 1

Excellent daytime experience for any occasion as we made it part of a date activity. The museum explores the various historical aspects of events that have taken place and are currently happening. The museum does encompass a religious element to its exhibits that engage for a solo trip, couples, families of 2 or more with children of all ages, and persons with disabilities. Customer service was superior from the time we walked in the door as we explored each museum area. You also have the option to add on 1-3 short films with designated times (Additional charge). We watched a short movie about spaces and evolution at the end of the exhibit visits. The planetarium has comfortable and spacious seats (TIP: Stand in line early to pick a good seat once permitted inside). The tour guides in each area were knowedgeable and pleasant.

Amazing! Loved this place. We took our 9 year old and 12 year old. It was highly educational, fun, and interactive. We watched the planetarium film about space and it was great. The cost was very reasonable compared to other attractions in the area. The prices were good at the gift shop as well. We spent about 2 hours there. I would highly recommend.

Very cool painting in the lobby depicting the Genesis creation.

This place is amazing! I had no idea it was here until I just happened to drive by recently. I just took my whole family today and we had a blast! The discovery center is absolutely top notch and as good or better than any other museum I've ever been too. There's all kinds of multimedia exhibits which really helps capture the kids attention. The robotic dino's are really impressive as well. My favorite exhibit was the talking paintings of the fathers of science! It's so great to see a biblically based science center that shows solid evidence for the truth of creation and gives glory to God! We loved it and I recommend everyone take their family here for a wonderful day out. Extremely clean and nice facilities. The kids will love it and so will the adults!

We have a two year old and we basically had to drag him out he wanted to stay there all day. There is soft play area where there's no shoes where the very little ones can crawl around and play with big pillows and soft sticks. There's a big yarn thing to climb on. There's a big water area for them to play with pipes and running water. There's a few big tables and pits with hundreds of legos, a book corner, and a big floor to ceiling interactive screen room which was amazing. There's also an outside area with rock walls and climbing areas. You can park your stroller at the start where there are bathrooms and hand washing area as well as a place to fill your water bottles. The museum itself was really nice with multiple floors of interesting topics from dinosaurs to space to an earthquake simulator. I think for those floors it's best to be 3-4 or older. Everything is still very stroller accessible!

It's cool how every floor has a different theme with so much to see. There is definitely something here for everyone & it does cater to all ages. It was kind of a bummer some areas were closed or not working. It does get a bit busy, I can't imagine how it would be if it was all ages when went but at times we were almost in a single file line as we were trying to go through all the items along the wall. For the first part at least, maybe because everyone was just so eager to see it all.

I visited two weeks ago, the elevator in the parking garage was broken!! The wouldn't go down, only up. Let's me clear - I am not that lazy, I will walk when needed. However my friend has a busted knee, which wouldn't allow her to climb stairs. She's already walking like a pirate. I went to 3 other parking garages before I found one that felt safe with an easy walk. We purchased tickets in advance ($17 - Super Sweet Karaoke) General Admisson. As we entered The Sweet Tooth Hotel you could hear the off-key Karaoke in the bar area. We received a room key at the desk for the additional 7-8 rooms. The first three rooms were vibrant and full of local art installations. I was obsessed with the Mad Hatter's tea Party themed room. The bar is fun! Lots of reflective mirrors. You can purchase desserts here as well as cocktails. I wish this place stayed open until 1am. We stayed until closing which was (11pm) I ordered the "sunset dream" cocktail. All cocktails are $8 on Fridays. The bartender gave great suggestions. I would definitely recommend going here if you're in the city.

The Dallas Art Museum is free for most of the museum, with special exhibits costing extra, but honestly there is plenty to see without spending a dime. A perfect spot to get a little culture in between meals. Honestly, a must hit for out of town visitors looking for something fun to do that does not involve eating. Be sure to hit the gift store too, a museum gift shop is usually well curated, and this one is no exception! (though I will say the lady working the store had a sh:tty attitude)

The DMA has a supporter membership for $120. It includes parking which would cost you $20 otherwise. You also get two free admission tickets that you can use to view the museum's collections or any special exhibitions each and every day of the year. The membership will also provide a discount at the museum store and in the snack bar. Visit twice during the year, and the membership more than pays for itself. You can buy your membership online, print the receipt, and show it for free parking. Once inside the venue, show the receipt at the check-in desk to get your free tickets to the special exhibit(s). Your DMA cards will be mailed to you in four weeks, in the mean time, use that printed receipt for everything. We renewed our membership this weekend April 2026 and went to see the Samurai Collection. Metalwork is not a favorite of mine, but I was still fascinated by the stories presented on the placards throughout the exhibit and I certainly appreciated the beautiful, intricate craftsmanship presented in each piece. I didn't realize that the Samurai swords and armor had been banned from production in Japan, so the metal workers pivoted and learned to become artisans. They started to make and repair metal embellishments, lanterns, and incense burners for the numerous temples in the country. Many of the items in this collection were from Kyoto and Nara, both places my husband and I visited in November 2009. The full body armor was fascinating. Little pieces of leather were coated in metal, painted, and woven tightly together to form a moveable, but protective layer over the body. The workmanship was exquisite. The exhibit had a few short videos you could watch to learn about the work. I especially liked the 30 second clip about the process of making cloisonné. These vases are beautiful and the process to make each one is detailed and meticulous. Kids could collect a postcard-sized scavenger hunt near the entrance and use that to stay in engaged throughout the visit. At the end, there was a sign on the wall with the answer key pictures showing which art pieces help the intricate designs they were looking for. The DMA has a permanent collection that includes a variety of art from around the globe, as well as multiple special exhibits throughout the year. Everyone is bound to find something that delights them and inspires conversation and wonder. Worth a visit!

The exhibits give you a lot of information about JFK and the events surrounding his assassination, and being in the actual building makes it feel especially significant. The museum is self-guided, so you can take your time going through everything. That being said, the crowds were a bit much for us. We were the second group in line, but still ended up waiting quite a while to get upstairs. Once we got to the exhibit, there were so many people that it was difficult to comfortably stop and read everything without feeling like you were in everyone's way. I'd also say this probably isn't a great activity for younger kids. There's a lot of reading and historical information, and the subject matter is pretty serious. The museum does offer educational programs for school groups, but for a typical family visit, I think older kids/teens who are genuinely interested in history would get more out of it. Overall, definitely worth experiencing if you're interested in JFK history, but go in expecting crowds and a very serious, reading-heavy museum experience.
