Potential for 5 STARS:
I have stayed here four times in the last 2.5 years when traveling on vacation (and sometimes with additional guests). We just departed from this hotel this week from a 4-night stay. Remember that you must rid yourself of American expectations when traveling abroad or you will continually be disappointed and deemed a "sourpuss" by Europeans and fellow Americans. Uncultured customers always have a difficult time adjusting to new customs, cultures, and food. The wait time at the front desk is short, unless you arrive/depart outside of their check-in/check-out hours when they leave two people at the front.
ROOMS: We always get the "Crew 6" rooms. This gives us a double bed and two twins in one room with an adjoining, bunk bed room for the kids. The kids' room has its own TV. The shower/sink room is separate from the toilet. Each has its own door, making it easy to deal with when traveling with guests of your own. No air conditioning available, but the rooms have ceiling fans and a window that opens (as is common for European hotels). Our last stay here was for 4 nights, costing 830€ for the "Crew 6". Go to their website to see prices for yourself. (Disappointed customers exaggerate the facts.) If you reserve at least 14 days in advance, they usually have discounts. Contrary to what the other poster does, I never ask for any kind of military discounts when traveling abroad as we are not local citizens and because few other countries actually honor their military members like America does. You really shouldn't flash your status around in other countries to begin with.
BREAKFAST: Included with your reservation. The "dried fruit" is a very small part of their selection. You have LOTS of fresh fruit (cantaloupe, watermelon, honeydew melon, pineapple, grapes), cheese, ham, turkey ham, yogurts, caramel custard, apple sauce, cereal, butter, jelly, sliced bread, mini-baguettes, croissants, and chocolate croissants. Additionally for 4€, you can add hot items such as eggs and bacon to your breakfast. The drinks come with plenty of free refills here, unlike most other places in Europe (although, I'm used to no longer getting free refills). Drinks include coffee, hot cocoa, milk, orange juice, and apple juice.
FREE SHUTTLE BUS: Takes you into Disney's parks and it runs either every 10 minutes or every 25 minutes, depending on what timeframe you're looking at.
SWIMMING POOL: France now requires them to implement the sale of appropriate swim attire (speedos or TIGHT shorts). There's a vending machine at the pool area which sells the adult size for 12€ and kid sizes for 8€. Free lockers available. Pool towels available for rent (2€). There is a kiddie area and main area with its own slides. Noisy, but it's a family hotel... (It is what it is)
KID ZONES: There is an additional play area inside next to the dining areas so you can watch your kids play while you eat. There's also play areas outside, behind the pool area for when the weather is pleasant. They also have an arcade.
NOTE: This is where the hotel loses point value... Ever since the hotel took new ownership (previously a Thomas Cook hotel), their quality in room servicing has declined, which includes smaller bath towels, shower soap is dispensed (as opposed to free little bottles). However, this is a budget-priced hotel that offers more than the Santa Fe hotel at the Disney Resort area. (I've stayed there as well and it was subpar in Disney standards.)
FOOD: They have food readily available and affordable (pizza, salad, fruit) if you're not wanting to dine at a restaurant.
BAR: They have a bar which serves beer, wine, and cocktails. They take credit cards here too. read more
