View from room 2406. Castle Club -Theme Park View
Joshua C.

The Castle Club was an amazing experience. We stayed in a Theme Park View room for one night. I think this was the perfect plan since we were visiting the parks for two full days. We checked into our room on the first day around 7:30AM. This was perfect for us because we were able to have bell services hold our bags until our room was available. Official check in is at 3:00PM. It is definitely not cheap to stay in the Castle Club, so I wanted to be able to enjoy every minute of the benefits from start to finish. At check in we were given our pass that stated we were hotel Guest. This gave us access to extra magic hours as well as amenities around the hotel. At this time we were also given our VIP fastpass. (The VIP Fastpass works on all attractions that offer the standard Fastpass service. With the VIP Fastpass there is no need to get a return time, and you are able to use it at the same attraction multiple times. This works for the full day of check in as well as the full day of check out) Since we checked in so early we were able to use the Extra Magic Hours, VIP Fastpass, and complimentary breakfast with characters for the day we checked in. They handed us a temporary key card to use the private elevator until our room was ready. We stayed in room 2406 which had an amazing view. However it was on the far side of the building, so there are other theme park view rooms that are more centered. We stayed on the 4th floor, and the club is located on the 3rd floor. I preferred this because we had a higher view of Disneyland. In the afternoon, there are complimentary snacks. When we were there they offered non alcoholic drinks as well as small sandwiches. The main thing I did not like about the Castle Club was the service in the lounge. The servers were not attentive and seemed annoyed if you asked for assistance. They state that non alcoholic drinks are complimentary throughout the day. However, the servers in the Castle Club seemed annoyed if you asked for multiple drinks or refills. One additional benefit is that you have access to the private elevator. This elevator will take you straight from then Castle Club to the main entrance of Disneyland park. If you want VIP service this is definitely the way to go, as it is so convenient. The first day we ate breakfast we dined with Smee, Mickey, and Goofy. On the second day it was Mickey, Pluto, Donald, and Daisy. Characters change on a daily basis and there is no way to know who will be there ahead of time.

We arrived to Marriott's Village d'ile-de-France early via the supersonic Eurostar. Upon driving…read moreonto the property one is reminded of what they have agreed to. The quintessential French Countryside experience. The weather was blissful and restful and the water fountains helped us sleep so deeply. Front desk mastery was performed by Cecilia. She gave an incredible overview of resort and breakdown of what to expect within this amazing property. Among three species of water fowl ( Including Canadian Geese ) there a tribute to Claude Monet complete with statue. The Monet Garden has been designed to tribute him and reads as a true impressionist painting complete with overgrown bridge just like his signature paintings. There is the perfect amount of alge in the small pond that mimics the impressionist's burst strokes. It's beautiful to walk thru this garden and enjoy actually being 'inside' one of Claude Monet's inspirations. The Le Bistro in the lobby has a phenomenal lunch menu until about 2pm and then opens back up for Dinner. Sabawoon was such a great server and very welcoming during our first lunch at the property. I recommend the pasta with white cheese sauce or the cheese pizza as a nice welcome meal for you. Upon being granted early our room ( a large studio in building 4500 ) We discovered it looks over Le Lac and the ducks were amazing to be with a large family of Canadian geese 'honking' to welcome us. This bedding is to die for a some of the best sheets and pillows I have ever experienced. We slept deeply here in the room and really loved waking up to a peace that only the French Countryside can provide. It was wonderful to also request white robes to lounge in and enjoy. Back at Le Bistro Bar the very fun and kind Dragana was amazing to visit with each night of our stay and was well versed at handling all sorts of crowds and guests no matter what. We looked forward to our times here at the bar after our days in the Parks. This is also a Gin Bar with many types of gin and goblet like glassware to honor these incredible drinks in. The front desk staff was incredible and like Cecilia the very kind and very articulate Sitharan helped me with booking the transit between the hotel and Disneyland Paris. Here is my concern and area for improvement. This tram takes a picking up break from from 20:00 to 21:10 - this one hour and 10 minute break is hurtful to those who are looking to leave the park early and needs at least two or three other pick up times when crowds are wanting to exit the park and waiting. Many of the patrons were forced to take Ubers and got angrier to pay high Taxi costs . Also in perfect transparency, the lobby bar closes early at 22:00 and the marketplace minutes afterwards. So if one needs a night cap or two this put pressure on the bar staff such as the kind Sabawoon and wonderful Dragana. Upon leaving I was impressed with Ceclia once again and she remembered our itinerary and wished us Bon Voyage for our travel day. Incredible to remember us after checking in so many people at this busy property. I look forward to booking a stay again here and even longer for the fabulous sheets alone! Thank you everyone, you made our stay amazingly magical! Merci!

Now from there I have a few bones to pick. But it was not all terrible. The reception and check in staff were amazing. They were friendly and super helpful. The gift shop and the hotel bar as well as the housekeeping and hotel restaurant staff were also pretty good. But for the positives the checkin cast was the golden children here. The hotel had WiFi and that was very nice and helpful, the location of the hotel was pretty good, it was easy to walk from the hotel to the parks with no issues. It was also a very short walk The breakfast was pretty good, specially the croissants They had us pass through a security scanner any time we walked in the front door of the hotel, the rooms are pretty dated and the decor was not really magical. The entire hotel did not give Disney. I even forgot u was at a Disney resort. But we had a good time at the parks

We were a family of two adults and two children, and our room had a nice queen bed and a sofa bed. Good space for us. Room was well kept and clean. Bathroom was nice. Being an old hotel, you only get two outlets and a smaller than average TV. Regarding the room, my only criticism is about the towels and toilet paper provided, which were not terrible, but could be on par with how much disney charges you. My younger loved the character meet & greet in the lobby area. The kids corner was a bit underwhelming. There was only a sort of "interactive table" with some games for kids to play, and, apparently, nothing else. As mentioned before, loved the location, it really felt like you were in a secluded wilderness area. There were busses to the park every 12 min or so, but walking to Disney Village and parks entrance was pretty easy, probably about 15 min. Didn't eat at the two buffet restaurants, because I thought they were a bit too expensive (45€ adults/25€ kids), but liked the more casual Redwood Bar in the lobby, that was open till late, and offered plenty of beverages and some sandwiches. Wish there was a quick dinning restaurant, like disney hotels in Florida usually do. Worth mentioning that if you wish to do some laundry on your own, you have to walk to nearby Hotel Cheyenne. Overall, good place to stay in Disneyland Paris property, and would stay here again.

Honestly, I wouldnt stay here again…read more You have to enter through security and they scan your bags in the scanner. arrival check in took us nearly 25 minutes. The process is so outdated ans unnecessary. They didnt have resort maps in English so they gave me one in Spanish, which was totally fine. While we were waiting to check in we saw Goofy at the character meet and greet spot. It was very nice to have the opportunity to see the characters at the hotel where its less crowded than the parks. The buffet breakfast is okay, its in a conference room in the basement of the hotel which doesnt feel great for the price. There were a lot of options for all types of diets. The pool was nice. We were there during June so the indoor/outdoor sections were both open. The pool definitely didnt seem super clean, especially near the bridge. But it served its purpose. The hotel gift shop was quite small but did have standard gift shop merch. Our room was absolutely awful. There was an electric tea kettle base with no kettle. No beverage cooler but a chair shoved in the space the cooler used to be. Which revealed a lot of damage to the wall. It felt super dirty and run down, outdated. The bathroom sink smelled like something had died in it. We had to keep the drain closed or it stunk up the whole room. The shower was half working. The baby cot provided did not have a sheet ( bring one from home) and it was FILTHY. There were no ice machines anywhere nearby. My husband went on a 30 minute journey to find one. The location is very nice - it is easy to walk to and from the parks and disney village. The onsite security is a bonus so you dont have to go through security again entering the park. Overall for the cost and what you get, Id skip this and choose a different hotel on property. Did not feel the Disney magic at all.

Its cold and the whole hotel has a very damp, musty smell. The shower in our room was either scortching hot (actually got scolded) or freezing cold. The carpet throughout the hotel is absolutely disgusting and the hotel is old and needs a lot doing. I woild never go back to this hotel. Okay this is a great hotel!…read more Getting to the hotel: Super easy to get to the hotel! If you arrive by train like we did, there are buses next to the train that will take you there. Other route is walk from the train. It's a 5 minute bus ride or a 10 minute walk. Front Desk: We arrived early and we wanted to just drop our luggage. Then ask the front desk some general questions since it was our first time to Disneyland Paris. The staff out front would not let anyone into the lobby that was checking in that day. We told them that's fine but we just had general questions we wished they would have let us get answered before we left to the parks. When we went to checkout in the morning on our final day no one was at the front desk. The bellman had to assist us with finding a front desk worker. Rooms: The rooms are very large and spacious. They have no elevators. So if you are on the second floor you will need to carry your luggage up the stairs. They have a ton of outlets and a ton of luggage storage. Walking to the parks: Honestly it's way easier to walk to the parks vs riding the bus. It's a super short walk once you know the way to go. They need a few more signs to guide you because we definitely went a longer way the first time. Overall this is a phenomenal hotel with only minor issues. I would love to stay here again.

I'm so glad Disneyland Paris still has The Hollywood Tower Hotel - it's one of my all-time favorite…read morerides, and I was so sad when Disney California Adventure re-themed it to Guardians of the Galaxy. Just a heads-up: even with Premier Access, my mom and I had to wait a while. The first time, the line was around 40 minutes, and the second time (after our show got canceled and we redirected the pass to this ride), it was about 20-25 minutes. One cool detail: depending on which library room you enter, the pre-show video is either in English (with French subtitles) or French (with English subtitles). And the ride experience itself can vary! We ended up in different elevators and got two very different versions - both unlike the old California version or the one at Disney World. Also, instead of the elevator peeking out at the park multiple times, you only get one outdoor glimpse during the drop sequence. A special shout-out to the cast members - we had an amazing experience the first time we rode. They were hilarious and clearly loved their jobs, adding extra antics and flair that made the whole thing even more immersive and fun. Overall, it's a must-do for any thrill-seeker or fan of the original ride. I'm just thankful Paris still honors the classic Hollywood Tower Hotel theme

It was a little bit nostalgic to ride this again after getting used to the Guardians of the Galaxy…read moreride at the Disneyland back in Anaheim. Not overly scary, just a great fun ride to get the blood pumping from the sudden multiple drops! The younger generation probably have no idea of the Twilight Zone, so I definitely bet they will update this ride to the Guardians of the Galaxy in the near future.
