There was some computer issues so we had to wait for over half and hour to get the car. All the cars were electric vehicle. You will also pay a 25$ fee for them to recharge the vehicle. Full charged vehicle can go about 240 miles. We pretty much only used 1/4 of charge because Juneau is only so big. Lol. Did spot a deer near by before pulling out so that was pretty cool.

The person that answered the phone was very polite and explained the procedure. I picked up the car at the location near the ship and dropped it off at the same location. The van did have a crack in the corner of the windshield and later in the day seemed a little sluggish, but it got us to Mendenhall Glacier, drove to a few more sightseeing locations and finished at Tracy's. Our flight into Juneau was scheduled to arrive late and then was further delayed, meaning we would arrive after Alamo had closed for the evening. Having visited Juneau before, we knew transportation options would be very limited at that hour. Since we were traveling with a baby, we were especially concerned about how we would get to our lodging. I explained our situation to Mark at Alamo, and he went above and beyond to help us. He spoke with his manager, Jacob, who graciously returned after closing time to ensure we received our rental vehicle. Both Mark and Jacob were incredibly kind, professional, and genuinely focused on helping us. But you know what you get that makes it worth it besides being clean and newer cars? - SOOO close to the cruise ports! most car rentals are at the airport which is easily a 25 minute drive - Answered my phone call immediately with a "hi gina!" when i couldn't figure out how to start the car (you have to hold the key fob near the start button as you push the brake and push start) - don't have to worry about gas (there was half a tank and we drove around the entire city and wasn't even close to empty) - don't have to worry about meeting the drop-off time and being fined. When I texted to extend they told me the car is mine until i head back to the ship - Came with the super cute snack bag and gift card to coffee - Came with a free car seat (they had convertibles and boosters) - Came with tickets for the tramway which we couldn't use since it was down so I have no insight as to ease of use. - More than open to providing insight into the city If you have any doubts, don't!
