The play learning and lots of outside time gave my child opportunities they wouldn't have had at other preschools/daycare centers to use their body and discover nature in a whole new way. Additionally, I really appreciated not having to prepare lunches and snacks for my child and that there was zero screen time while at school. At times, the school's ideas were so large and grand they were hard to capture, coming across as unorganized. The love and energy put into the school made up for that aspect. We moved on to (public) kindergarten for a more traditional academic education. I'd give Wholesome 4.5 stars if possible. No where is perfect but love and kindness goes a long way when raising children and making the best decision for them. Through our daily updates and conversations, it was so clear that the staff really knew her and cared -- she was never just a number. They would even check in on her when she was out sick. I always knew she was safe there. I love that it's a play-based preschool, so the kids can learn through playing and crafts. APG was my only real "village" in Austin when raising my daughter, and they were truly a godsend. They also do a lot of things to reduce teacher turnover on the staffing side, so we hardly ever had teacher changes. I highly recommend them!

I recently coordinated and managed a volunteer project to install and donate materials/services for two disc golf baskets and discs here. The staff at ACS was more than happy to allow us to do this and were gracious to accept our donation. Overall, the purpose of the staff here is to care for the well being of kids in the Austin area. Some of these kids may come from a challenging home life, no family, limited economic status, and so much more.. but day in and day out the staff do their best to advocate the care of all the kids. My project to help them with was to install disc golf equipment so that kids of all ages can have a fun activity to play while they are at the ACS. They have playgrounds and benches here, but that is only good for some of the little kids. The baskets that they allowed us to install and donate will benefit teenagers and kids of all ages. It will give them a physical activity of fun and sportsmanship that will last with them forever. I am thankful that the staff allowed for us to donate these items and allow us into their trusted and secure community. I cannot rate the ACS fully on their business needs, but I can rate them that they are exceeding all the needs of the kids they help.

It's a small school that feels like a second family. I am notified immediately when needed. Ideally, I would love to be a stay at home mother, but I feel that leaving my children in their care is a close second. Ms. Cathy, Ms. Glenda, Ms. Shawanda, Ms.Sheila, and Ms. Angela have all been there for several years and have been there to love, educate and encourage my children. When they were interviewed the statement was made by three teachers, including the owner, that they all saw the child get up from her nap (at 6pm???) by pushing herself up with both arms. I am a mother and a grandmother who has spent a great deal of time around children and watched them sleep as well as wake them up. I have never taken notice of whether they sat up by pushing up with one arm, two arms, rolling over or some other way. For three teachers to lie about this is just appalling to me. Since there were three of them lying, they were released of any suspicion by CPS. CPS has a lot of problems so this just adds to the mess. Being a relative of this precious one year old, I know for a fact that this occurred at the daycare. I don't think it was done intentionally but never the less it happened by yanking or jerking this poor baby. To not take accountability for your actions is inexcusable and irresponsible. The owner should have done a thorough investigation herself and found out what happened. Instead they decided to get their stories straight and all lied to the CPS investigator. I know that you don't want to admit anything like this could happen at your place of business, but the fact is that it did happen. The child got through the trauma of it all and the mother was released of all suspicion but Serendipity Learning Center should be ashamed of covering this up and not trying their hardest to get to the bottom of it before it happens to another child.

As a first-time mom, I was extremely cautious about who I trusted to watch her, so having that feeling of safety with the school meant a lot to me. The center is a small, family-owned place, and the staff is amazing and very loving toward the children. My daughter is about to turn three and loves coming every day. She has flourished throughout the years of being here. She can count, knows her colors, and is a social little butterfly. I can't be more thankful to the teachers who have my daughter daily and help her grow. While searching for new childcare for her and our one year old son after our old daycare closed due to Covid, we were so incredibly lucky to come across ABCDee. Alison is very communicative and always has the kids best interests at heart. The center is clean, safe, and the staff is incredible and very loving of all the children. They provide meals, diapers, and wipes, which really takes some of the stress off of childcare. They use the Brightwheel app, so we always get pictures of the kids throughout the day, as well as messages and questions about anything going on. The best daycare we've been to in Austin (and as I said, we've been to a lot). I cannot recommend ABCDee enough for your kiddos.

They were either too expensive for the "value" they provided, the location was unsafe, or the teachers seemed to not give two s**** about your child. When we toured ABCDee, both my partner and I left teary eyed, we felt such a huge relief feeling confident about where we were sending her everyday. Now, a year later and it wasn't a honeymoon phase. Every classroom, every teacher, all the staff (especially Ms. Maria - home cooked meals and snacks EVERYDAY), have exceeded our expectations. We had the sad thought today of "but what about when she has to go to elementary school", we don't want her to leave!!!
