So much of the federal city can be seen from this venue. Since Top of the Town is a venue hosting events ranging from business meetings to weddings the food and drinks will be dependent on the caterer. I believe Top of the Town is situated on top of circa 1960s or 1970s condos. The elevator to get to the top is slower than the sloth in the Geico commercials and the bathrooms are dated. Also, it's a long awkward walk from the elevator to the main banquet room. Which brings up a point - there are various banquet rooms and the main one has a rooftop deck. This venue is a good 1/2 mile walk from the Rosslyn Metro station and there is a fairly significant hill as you approach the building. I hiked it in wedges but I don't think I could have done it in pumps or on a bike.

Captain Matt not only gave us a great ride and was full of DC trivia we weren't familiar with even after 15 years of living in the DMV area - but also let my cousin do a little decorating for the occasion, and passengers can byo food and alcohol. We opted to cruise directly underneath the flight path for jets landing at DCA for a few exhilarating flyovers, then took in the Lincoln Memorial from the water. Want to play your own tunes? The hosts answered all our questions, we were able to connect to the speaker, and we got in a mini photo shoot on the dock during the halfway point pit stop. Other groups were waving from their boats, the monuments provided poppin' views/backdrops throughout the ride, and we didn't even actually haaaave to paddle the whole time! I would definitely get a group together and go out on the water with this company again! A lit DC summer experience!

This competition was a scavenger hunt where ten couples competed to win a $50,000 wedding. Taylor & Hov worked together to have their favorite vendors contribute their services. To our shock and surprise, WE WON! Following our win, Taylor & Hov designed and executed the perfect wedding for us. Not only did it provide us the opportunity to work with some of the best vendors in DC, but Taylor & Hov's creative talents far exceeded our expectations. When we first started our wedding planning, we had only a vague idea of what we wanted. Despite this, Sugar was able to create an event which really spoke to our personalities. We spoke to her about our mutual love of music, and she found a way to incorporate this into every aspect of the day, with programs made of records and place settings created out of cassette tapes. Moreover, during our highest stress moments, Sugar and Nar saved the day with their eagerness to help with both large and small details, from changing the venue at the last minute to putting together a signature cocktail that our guests still won't stop talking about. All in all, Taylor & Hov gave us a better wedding than we could have ever hoped for, and for that we are so grateful! Thanks Sugar and Nar!

We opted for the virtual only option (as opposed to having a person on site)... we did this for cost reasons primarily, but it worked out perfect for our team (even though we had nearly 40 people), and we really didn't need day-of support. Based on the responsiveness for our coordinator leading up the event, and the fact that a helpline was provided to all participants in the app during the hunt, I felt confident that if we needed any support, we would have it. The customizable aspect of this is probably my favorite part... we got to add in clues specific to our company, team, etc. I was provided the clues in advance to review, which I appreciated, and that didn't spoil the hunt for me as I was still able to compete (and didn't even win!). Another great thing is that you can see all of the photos and videos for all the teams from the event... and you are provided a link to them even after the hunt is over. We have had fun going over these and saving them. We will have laughs to come because of this teambuilding activity.
