It was near my house and had next day availability, so I took a chance and, gah, I'm glad I did. I saw Jana. She cut my bangs exactly how I wanted them and dusted off my ends. The price was insanely reasonable. In hindsight I wish I'd tipped a little heavier because this is the least expensive hair cut I've ever gotten in Charlotte (lived here 18 years). And it is a GREAT cut! Jana was super nice, easy to talk to, LISTENED to me when I said "yes" or "no" to her questions about my cut. All in all very happy with the experience. The salon itself is very cozy. Unpretentious comes to my mind. It was clean, functional, and cute but didn't feel like it was trying too hard. Parking threw me a bit: I couldn't tell if they have their own parking spots in the two surrounding lots. There were signs about permits, which I didn't have. I ended up parking on the street that ran perpendicular to 10th. Not a big deal but mentioning in case it helps others plan. Booking was a breeze, I made the appt. online without any issues. Definitely look into this spot! I'm happy I took a chance.

I did a consult with her to go over what I wanted. She listened to me and gave honest feedback. She also wanted to know what my last colorist did on my hair which I feel is going above and beyond. She's always been available by text to receive hair inspo pics and she wrote out a thoughtful list of Charlotte must-go-to restaurant/bars just because I was asking. I've been wanting lighter brown hair for a long time now to warm up my fair skin tone - something that my previous stylists have not been able to really achieve. Katy got it on one shot and she gave me a killer layered cut, too. There's no reason to ever look elsewhere for a stylist in Charlotte.

Brooke is sweet, reliable, and extremely knowledgeable. She gives the best head massages while at the bowl. All three of us have always come away looking absolutely amazing. I suppose individual hair stylists have lost too much money with no-shows. I get that. After trying several different places, and sick of the overpriced corporate cuts, I was about to throw in the towel until I heard about Robin at All About You. She did a fantastic job on both my cut and color, (single color and long hair with layers), and the price was by far the most reasonable I have yet to come across in Charlotte. Robin has been cutting hair with the salon for over eight years now, so I was instantly at ease in her chair. (Keep in mind this is coming from a girl who can't stand getting the slightest of trims.) The salon itself is adorable, in an old house divided up into many rooms and nooks that offer both a comfortable and personal experience during your hair cut. I especially loved all the little framed quotations that were hung at every turn (see pics.) All About You offers other spa services as well so I will be back very soon to try those out. A very cozy, quaint place that delivers a professional job? Yes please. Robin, I think it's safe to say you are stuck with me!

The salon is gorgeous and located in the heart of South-End, so pre and post-salon treats are at your fingertips. I always look forward to catching up with the front desk staff, and I am never without a full beverage and a good conversation from the moment I walk in to out. Over the years I've worked with a handful of KK stylists who not only consistently crush working with my hair (record-breaking confidence alert), but will also teach me how to style and maintain my hair once the salon sparkles have washed away. I also love that I never feel sold but educated to make informed decisions. We talk about angles, lengths, routines, hair care, and products - and I never feel sold or pressured into anything. I have seen a massive transformation in my hair in the last five years, and I owe that all to these stylists. It's worth every penny and minute invested. Although each stylist is unique in their approach and rank (junior/senior stylists), as a client, you can see that regardless of those factors you are getting a dedicated, quality experience with real people who are passionate about what they do. Five stars doesn't feel like enough! Pictures included are from every time I have left the salon :-)
