I've always had good service at Abbotts but yesterday was not. I came in for an oil change. I've…read moregone there many times before for same service. My car was done within a half hour. I usually wait longer, didn't mind so I thought that was quick. When I went to pay I was told my total was $101 & change. I had gotten a mailer, NOT a coupon from Abbotts days before & brought it with me. it said among other discounts, oil change for synthetic oil was $54.95. it also noted that oil change included tire rotation & multi point vehicle inspection. I showed them the mailer & she said she would adjust the price. she then told me that they didn't do the tire rotation. I looked surprised since I always had it done before with oil changes. The young man behind the counter said "there's no charge for tire rotation so you weren't charged for it, it's included". I replied "but you didn't do it". The woman behind the counter said that she could have someone bring my car back to do the tire rotation. I told her no, that's ok. I was annoyed at this point. I was going to initially be charged $101 & change for oil change but no tire rotation. When I got in my car to leave I noticed my "info screen " that usually showed the speedometer, was left on screen where it showed input for next service. I started changing the screen back to where it should have been & noticed on the tire screen, 3 tires were at 32 & 1 was at 38. So they didn't even check that. Something's changed there. it seems like they just want to get cars in & out quickly to bring more business in. I'm definitely not happy.

I am a repeat customer who had good service in the past at this place but something changed and…read morethis time they really did me wrong! I took my car in because it kept overheating. The mechanic said no problem he would take care of me. They called to say I was good to go-they had to replace 2 leaky radiator hoses & charged me almost $400. The following day my car overheated and blew fluid all over in the post office parking lot. I called to tell them the situation. The problem wasn't fixed & unfortunately I needed to tow it back to them, because I don't dare drive it even tho I was right across the street. The receptionist said "don't bother because the mechanic said he doesn't want to take in any old cars anymore". Really?! they never told me that before, they said they fixed it, and they really hung me out to dry! The very least they could have done is give me my money back for the work that wasn't done, if they didn't want to fix my car! Color me disappointed. I guess they're just another business that doesn't care about the quality of their work or taking care of their customers. Buyer beware.

I went to White Knoll automotive because they were close and I didn't have much time to go to my normal mechanic. They tried to charge me $750 to get my brakes and rotors replaced and said I needed 3 new tire sensors ( $150 ea ) when I know only 1 was bad cause I just recently had a tire replaced. Decided to take my car somewhere else

Usually I do all my repairs but I had a check engine light on about 3 weeks ago and went to Rev…read moreAuto to see what the problem was. They told me it was a speed sensor the price out the door was $144. I told them to go ahead and fix it. Now the other day the check engine light came on again. Never had problems with my vehicle before. I take very good care of my vehicle yes things break and need to be fixed that's everyday maintenance of course. But this was a little odd now since the check engine light is on again in such short period of time so I brought it back. They told me it was a different problem they think it could be the coil pack or it could need new spark plugs which I just put in 20,000 miles ago and they are platinum spark plugs that are supposed to last 100,000 miles they also told me I needed a transmission flush that I did only about 10,000 Mi ago and I needed stutter guard for my vehicle out the door it would have been over $550. I basically told them to take a walk. I used to go to this place all the time but it has changed names from Kestner Auto to now Rev Auto. They seem to hire all new people and very young kids not there's anything wrong with hiring young kids but they seem to be guessing on what may be wrong with the vehicle as people pay good money to fix it and the problem are not always what they are claiming. If you bring your car in there to get service don't expect to get it serviced the same day it usually takes a good 24 hours for them to even look at it if you're lucky. Oh yes I decided to change the spark plugs myself for $20 and that fixed my problem they wanted to do it for $550 and it wasn't even all the problems they all claimed it was. I would not recommend this mechanic shop.
