I found Turnage Auto Care through Yelp and made the appointment right through the Yelp app. Tyler messaged me and set everything up. Aaron greeted me right as I arrived and got the process started. While changing the oil they inspected my car and found a few issues with the tires I mostly knew about. He offered to send a quote to replace one or all tires & TPMS sensors ( which my 13 yr old car was needing ) I liked that they quote through a text link so you can see the cost and everything associated with the repair. You can decline the service or accept it. We talked about tires and sensors and ultimately decided to go with a better tire than quoted. They priced the cost and labor very competitively and I approved the service. There was no pressure at all during this transaction. Just information and options. I definitely was happy to find Turnage Auto Care, Tyler and Aaron. I'll be bringing both of my Hybrids to them from now on!

I could easily get over the failure to properly communicate with me and update me on my vehicle. But knowing that I would receive a call saying I could come and get my car and then maybe an hour later I would receive another call saying that my car now suddenly has a leak that sure wasn't there when I brought it to Bros is another thing. Then when I went to see my car after a week, I was only faced with men talking down to me. I had one gentleman tell me that "if I had known as much as he does about cars, I would have thrown my car away at 50,000 miles." And then, when discussing the NEW issue my car has, the same gentleman would then make a joke to his buddies about how he "doesn't even want to know how much this will cost her." I end up leaving and bringing my MALE friend to help so the people at Docs would actually listen to what I'm asking. They finally agree, and Doc tells me he will look at my car FOR FREE now. He says he will for sure call the next day. He does not. I get a call two days later telling me what's wrong with my car and how much it will cost. 80-160 for the part and 140 AN HOUR for work (minimum 4-hour job). I say no, I'm going to just buy the part and get the work done elsewhere. Jeff tells me that I will have to pay for the work they did for the new issue even though I was told (and the only reason I let them look at it again) it would be free. He says he is in charge of billing and says I have to pay even though the man whose name is on the building told me I wouldn't. I then just go to get my car TOWED away because it can't drive with it gushing out coolant... They then refuse to put my car back together unless I pay more because, according to Jeff, he already paid a guy 75 to take it apart. Photos are of what my car is supposed to look like vs. the condition I had to take it back in because they insisted on trying to shake my pockets empty. And the best part is the part that ranges 80-160 wasn't even the cause of the leak like they said. It was the $20 hose. So not only did they want to charge an insane price for the work on my car, but they misdiagnosed my vehicle, and then they ACTUALLY DIDN'T EVEN FIX THE ORIGINAL ISSUE WITH MY VEHICLE LIKE THEY SAID. It is STILL cutting on and draining my battery as well as the NEW leak. Do not even bother going to Bros if you want something done fast and efficiently because they are also so backed up that they cannot even bother doing things correctly. And this is really just the short version. I left out plenty of details. Might post a more detailed explanation of happenings in Lexington later.

Usually I do all my repairs but I had a check engine light on about 3 weeks ago and went to Rev…read moreAuto to see what the problem was. They told me it was a speed sensor the price out the door was $144. I told them to go ahead and fix it. Now the other day the check engine light came on again. Never had problems with my vehicle before. I take very good care of my vehicle yes things break and need to be fixed that's everyday maintenance of course. But this was a little odd now since the check engine light is on again in such short period of time so I brought it back. They told me it was a different problem they think it could be the coil pack or it could need new spark plugs which I just put in 20,000 miles ago and they are platinum spark plugs that are supposed to last 100,000 miles they also told me I needed a transmission flush that I did only about 10,000 Mi ago and I needed stutter guard for my vehicle out the door it would have been over $550. I basically told them to take a walk. I used to go to this place all the time but it has changed names from Kestner Auto to now Rev Auto. They seem to hire all new people and very young kids not there's anything wrong with hiring young kids but they seem to be guessing on what may be wrong with the vehicle as people pay good money to fix it and the problem are not always what they are claiming. If you bring your car in there to get service don't expect to get it serviced the same day it usually takes a good 24 hours for them to even look at it if you're lucky. Oh yes I decided to change the spark plugs myself for $20 and that fixed my problem they wanted to do it for $550 and it wasn't even all the problems they all claimed it was. I would not recommend this mechanic shop.

Mr Steve Woody, showed up on a job at 3:45 p.m. He changed into coveralls at 4:05 he crawled underneath the truck that he was there to look and access . He did not take any tools at this point climb back out got some tools with back under the vehicle. now if you're a master mechanic after 30 minutes 45 minutes you realize that the bolt is stripped. No he continued , so he made several attempts at 5:45 p.m. I decide to say, Hey cut it off!! I told him that you should have cut it off after failure of 4 x out from under the vehicle to search for screwdrivers a hammer sockets that you thought would fit. And phone calls and his work truck was piled up and disorganized. So after the suggestion of myself the customer stated cut it off asked if he had a torch he said No but he had a cutting grinder 30 minutes later he found and put everything together to do it you realize that's the mechanic that the bolt is stripped so you made several attempts and it 5:45 p.m. you decide that you should cut it off after failure of four times out from under the vehicle to search for screwdrivers a hammer sockets that you thought would fit after the suggestion of myself the customer stated cut it off asked if he had a torch he said he had a cutting grinders 30 minutes later he found and put everything together to cut nut off now. After I complained that he took too long and too he should have gotten by 40 minutes should have figured out the bolt issue earlier. any decent mechanic would have done that and a Master Mechanic would have known by then that it can't take 3 hours to finally figure out you got to cut it off do not use this man he is not a Master Mechanic by any means and a total rip-off!!!
