The receptionist said "don't bother because the mechanic said he doesn't want to take in any old cars anymore". The very least they could have done is give me my money back for the work that wasn't done, if they didn't want to fix my car! Color me disappointed. Some people write bad reviews when issues were clearly their own fault. So I am giving you my…read morepersonal experience. A family member's car stop working. The transmission would not go into gear. She had the car towed to the Nissan dealership, who checked the car and stated the car needed a transmission but also needed a motor!??? Over $7800 estimate!? She didn't know what to do. I told her we use Lexington 1 Stop Auto and to let them them look. From the moment of her calling, Jason (the owner) arranged a tow truck to pick up the car within just a few hours. We explained what the Nissan dealership said, their response was -- let us look at it and be the judge...too many times dealerships take the sales approach method and may attempt to oversale the issue. Well he was correct! Within a day, the owner responded back: we found a used transmission and he sent us the history on it (and it included a short warranty). Secondly, we believe the motor can be saved, it needs servicing to remove the sludge build up. Let's try this before you spend $1000s on a different motor. Within three days, the owner contacted us. The transmission was installed and working properly. The motor was saved! Saving her over $2000 in repair costs. But the service didn't stop there. They fully explained what they did, and asked the car be brought back in two weeks to change the oil out since it was an extensive service -- this will remove any additional gunk that breaks free. Then they will inspect the motor once more to make sure it is sound. That's going above and beyond. My family member said when she spoke with Jason that he was very respectful to her (and her lack of knowledge of cars) and didn't talk down to her. She really appreciated his professionalism and felt that he was trustworthy. That made me feel good because I recommended them. Two days later, she said the car drives like it is brand new! Thanks to Jason and his mechanic staff, she got her car back for a third of the cost the Nissan dealership was quoting.
