Called tailors frantically on a Friday morning because I needed a beaded evening gown altered in one day. The phone was answered at 8am and I was invited to bring the gown and they would be glad to have it ready the next day. Picked the altered gown up the next morning and it was perfect. Working on two more complicated gown alterations right now. The owners are so sweet and nice even walking me to the door and thanking me. I found a new place to do all my alterations! read more

The owner of this establishment is very unfriendly and not at all customer oriented. Her only concern is rushing through the transaction and collecting money. She charged an exorbitant amount for an extremely minor job and took many days to complete the job. I will definitely never use her establishment again. read more

I'm from out of town but flew into Huntsville for a wedding and noticed that the jacket I had was fitting for the old me. Dropped off around six items on Wednesday PM. Most items were basically needing to be remade like a size 8 pair of golf pants made into a size 4. Get it? I had initial sticker shock b/c most items were $25 with some being 35 but your straight up needs: torn seams, ripped arm holes etc were reasonable. (6-8 dollars ) Super nice couple run it It's clean Impressive was that all of that would have been ready by sat! And they review your ticket line by line. I needed a formal gown hemmed on short notice. I called Expert Quailty Tailor on a Tuesday afternoon on the off chance it could be ready by Saturday by noon. If your not detail oriented, this place is okay. If your looking for a high end tailor, do not come here. Gave them a second chance with some dress slacks, and the craftmanship was worse. Asked them to sew buttons for braces and the lady told me those were only for fat people. Definitely not up to date with men's fashion. Don't come here!!!! I called first. I brung a leather motorcycle jacket in to their shop to get 5 patches sewed on. They weren't sure what to charge but settled on $55 dollars total. They said it'd take a week and I left. One week later I called to asked if my jacket was ready. I was told yes it was ready for pickup. When I showed up, they told me they'd lost one of my patches had been lost and that I had to get a new one. Obviously this angered me but I pushed through my anger and I pulled out my phone, went to Amazon, showed them what I paid for the first patch and what it would cost to replace it. They agreed to pay for a new patch (if I ordered) and sew it on. I ordered the new patch, waited for it to be delivered, and took it to be sewed on when it came in. First the lady complained about paying for the new shipping I paid, then asked me to step outside while she puts it on. She said she "did not feel comfortable with me in the shop" as she put it on. This made me feel a certain way as I am a middle aged, well dressed black man. I asked her to clarify this statement and of course, she started back pedaling and saying she didn't mean anything. This was the first place I found to take care of this... if we remove the "uncomfortable with you" statement this still would be considered bad service. Again; don't come here!!! read more

Mary and Paul are great. I have had more than 30 articles of clothing altered by Mary and she always does a fantastic job. I had to have some size 8s and 10s altered to size 4s, without them losing their shape or fit. Most of my clothing is classic, so it is worth the price to pay to have them expertly altered by Mary. They are always ready for pick up when they tell me. I am extremely particular about my clothing since my job is high profile. I just wish Mary could make me a formal dress. LoL read more

Excellent service & great value! I had a baby carrier that needed repairing. I took it to 2 other tailors who told me they wouldn't/couldn't do it. However, Jane was extremely helpful and said it would be no problem. She said they regularly repair bags, backpacks, etc. AND she only charged me $6! I switched to Expert Quality Tailors after Soon Tailors down on Hughes wouldn't guarantee their work. Expert Quality even gave me a discount to fix the hems that were coming out of the pants that Soon's worked on, when Soon's wanted to charge me full price! So far so good - I've had 3 pairs of dress pants and 2 pairs of jeans hemmed here without any problems. The prices are pretty standard ($8 for hemming pants), but the couple that owns Expert Quality is much more friendly than the owners of Soon's. read more

We took two dresses in to be priced for alterations... The prices were much more than we had planned for so we told them we'd leave one dress to be altered & bring the other back very soon when we could afford it. We were then very rudely & forcefully told to leave by the man & that they "did not want to do them" for us & for us to "go somewhere else" if we had a problem with their prices. We tried to reason with him by saying that we simply couldn't afford both but could pay for one at this time, but he literally turned his back to us & told us again to leave. I have never, ever experienced anything like this... Much less from an "expert quality" business. Perhaps it's under management? Either way, I DO NOT recommend this place. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. This is my first time ever writing a review but my experience was truly terrible. I went to get a bridesmaid dress altered and the total cost was $105 for moving the zipper and to shorten two layers. Totally fine with that. However, when I went back to try it on after they called to say alterations were complete, the top of the dress seemed the same and still did not fit properly. They said they would fix it and I could come back later. They called me to say it was complete a few hours later and I headed that way. The male who works there called me because I was "taking too long". I seriously left my hotel and headed that way. I was scheduled to arrive around 5:30 and they don't close until 6 so I'm not sure what the rush was. When I arrived I found that the top of the dress still had not been altered. I was trying to ask for an explanation but it was difficult to understand their response. Then a woman came into the shop and started yelling at the couple who work there because she had been parked in. A screaming match followed and my one year old was terrified. I paid, grabbed my dress, and left quickly to get my kid out of there. The screaming match went into the parking lot where the male owner screamed at the woman who was parked in to "call the cops! I don't care!". So I was left with a dress that was not altered correctly, a traumatized child, and was out $105. read more
