Gloria is absolutely amazing. I brought a very heavy curtain for her to cut, seam, and dryclean. She did a FANTASTIC job. It looked brand new. I was absolutely stunned. It was a white curtain that had a lot of dust build up on it. I was so happy when I picked it up and didn't see a single stain. It was ready when stated and I feel like it was a very reasonable price for the work involved. I highly highly recommend Angel Alterations. I was severely disappointed and underwhelmed. I took my daughter's wedding dress in after calling the store and asked them if they could bustle the dress and they said they could. When I took it in with my daughter, the owner said she could bustle it and would put a hook on it to hold up the bustle. I questioned it a little bit as I have seen bustles done with ribbons, with multiple connection points etc. She assured me only one point was needed and that she would put the hook on it. What I did not expect was that the silver hook would be so large that it looked like something from a hardware store. Also, the hook was right under the last button, why not put a loop on it and have it look to the button which would have been more discrete. Also, the hook was large enough and loosely connected to the metal loop that I don't even think it would stay connected once hooked. I am not a professional seamstress but I took the hook off and returned it to the store as I can do this job better myself. When I returned it and explained that it was disappointed at how ugly this was on the dress and would never use something like that I got no offer of any type of refund and just a "sorry". I was not rude or confrontational when I went in but felt that I would not put a post a review without letting the person know why I would not be recommending them for wedding dress bustling. She may do other alterations fine but I would not recommend her for this. The dress, by the way, was not a heavy satin so didn't need heavy duty hardware, even invisible snaps would have been better. read more

I was extremely & pleasantly surprised by Angel Alterations, as well as the price for what she did. Extremely reasonable! I originally stopped at another shop that I'd never been to before (apologize, as I forget the name, but it's on Madison Blvd. - might be Kay's Cleaners-?) ...anyway, I was about to go out-of-state for a funeral in TX. I only had 1 pair of pants that I could wear, but the legs needed a little bit of hemming. I was desperate & needed to save money, so I didn't want to buy new ones. Long story short - the 1st stop said they send out their alterations, so no one at that location could do them. However, the lady there called over to Angel's Alterations (where they send to) to find out if they could do an on-the-spot hem & was told YES! So I immediately drove over to Angel's Alterations (not far at all from other location) and I met Ms. Gloria (aka NAN) who owns the shop. She is a very-very kind lady, and has such a beautiful little alteration shop with lots of flowers and the cutest little 13-yr-old tiny dog named Coco (sp-?). So Ms. Gloria had me try on my pants right then, asked where I needed hemmed & said she would do right away. She not only did it in less than 10 minutes, but she did it very professionally & for more than a reasonable price for doing it on-the-spot! I was so very-very thankful! She is a very kind Christian lady, and I will definitely be back, as well as recommend her to ANYONE that needs anything hemmed! NOTE: If you do go to her, be sure to either have CASH or CHECKBOOK, as she does NOT take credit cards! Blessings to each! read more

I took three pairs of pant's to be taken up in length by 2", when I got them back one pair was taken 2" one was taken up 1 " and the other pair was the same length that it was when I tool it in. read more
