He also came to look at our place a few days before moving day to assess everything. On moving day, his team packed and wrapped everything very quickly. They were professional, asked questions, kept in contact on the phone during each process of the move and were very friendly. We originally asked for a team of 5 and two trucks but ended up with a team of 4 at the start and 1 truck. Reduced down to a team of 3 at our new place to unpack everything. We were charged accordingly to the changes. No hidden fees or BS, everything was told to us as changes were being made and explained again when the bill came. Prices were super reasonable for the distance. We provided water, gatorade (at both places) and breaks whenever the movers needed. People forget that this is a very physically gruelling task and my partner and I would have never done what they did in such a short period of time. We were so appreciative we even ordered pizza for them at our new place, while they finished unloading all our stuff. We had over 40 boxes and tons of furniture. 11/10 I would use them again and highly recommend them! They are true to their word "In and out".

Terrible Experience Not Worth the Premium Price. From start to finish, the experience was frustrating and disappointing. During unloading, I watched one of the movers snap the handle off my suitcase right in front of me. These suitcases have been through years of international travel without any issues, yet they were damaged during a short local move. The furniture situation was even worse. It was not damaged in transit. It was broken by their crew while trying to put it back together at my new place. I saw it happen, but when I reported it, they tried to blame the material instead of taking responsibility. A sealed box that was fully taped on all sides arrived crushed, and a pair of my shoes was missing from inside. A sealed box does not open itself. Still, they insisted it must have been a packing issue on my end, which felt like an excuse rather than a real explanation. When I reported the damage and missing items, they were dismissive and hid behind their contract even though some of the damage happened directly in front of me. Their total compensation offer for broken furniture, damaged luggage, and missing items was fifteen dollars, which felt insulting. What really sealed it for me was that instead of resolving the issues, I was later offered two hundred dollars to remove or change my review. At that point, I started questioning how many other reviews were influenced the same way. Based on my experience, the service does not match the reputation or the price. If you care about your belongings and expect honesty and accountability, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

Our move was mishandled from start to finish, multiple items were damaged, we were charged an outrageous amount and the move itself took hours longer than necessary. When they damage your possessions, they then want you to pay the deductible for their insurance. They are not accredited with the Canadian Movers Association or the Better Business Bureau.

My boxes were well taped and marked for their destination rooms. However, on arrival, they started to retape the boxes until I told them to stop. Fragile boxes were well taped with red and white tape marked "fragile". The rooms, at the destination had tape on the walls showing what piece of furniture would go there. However, that didn't help as only one could read English. In addition they stopped along the way to pick up more boxes for a different move which now blocked the access at the back of the truck and so unloading took a longer time. I was presented with a bill for 11 hours but was originally quoted for slightly under 5 hours. During delivery I was asked to pay before they would finish unloading my furniture. The bill was showing U.S. dollars and I insisted on that being changed to Canadian dollars. Before they finished unloading, two other men showed up supposedly to deliver the added boxes to their destination. The four of them finished unloading after paying them their asked price in Canadian currency via Visa. There was damage done to the walls and to some furniture where they had used tape directly on painted surfaces. My son was the one who paid the bill and quickly put in a complaint with the bank to stop the payment. He recently (December 2025) received a credit of $500.00 in settlement. The move was back on September 17, 2025. I want to point out that at the quoting point I supplied a complete list of furniture with measurements for each piece and pictures of each item. I also sent pictures of the stairs at both pickup and delivery locations. We agreed on a mileage fee as they did not use a "truck fee". There were no appliances and we had moved almost all the boxes except for about 10 or 12 prior to the main move. It was basically a one bedroom apartment. I am presently on vacation in Florida and this morning's news (January 3, 2026 WESH 2 News) revealed the huge scams going on throughout this State to the point that the FBI is now involved. Apparently there are some AI apps that can be helpful if you are moving and I strongly suggest you review them as they have a list of vetted moving companies. As for Rise Movers and all their aliases BUYER BEWARE, THIS IS DEFINITELY A RED FLAG SITUATION!!!

The person I dealt with was quick to reply and answer any questions I had, small or large. The process for booking was simple yet detailed. The 2 movers arrived on time, took a look at what had to be done and got to work right away. They were efficient and quick. The furniture I was moving was very heavy, and had sentimental value. I was impressed that they moved everything safely and without any scuffs - which was very important as the walls in the apartment we were moving out of had just been painted. The movers were friendly and polite and got the job done in 2 hours. They had to take apart one of our desks and explained what they were doing to ensure us that nothing was being damaged. I decided to leave some furniture and asked them to put them nicely so that other people might reuse, so they did after confirmed it was ok with the building.
