Expert Locksmith & Security - Original that was lost on the right ... $250 replacement on the left (don't even unlock remotely) and fails to start car sometimes. - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me - Atlanta, Georgia

You told me the car started and asked me to send the payment. Based on your word, I immediately sent the money through Zelle. After you received the payment, you changed your story and said the key does not start the car. That is completely unacceptable and very unprofessional. You confirmed the car started before I paid you. That means you misled me to get the payment. I am requesting my full refund immediately. If the money is not returned, I will report this situation to my bank, the Better Business Bureau, and I will also leave detailed reviews about this experience. I also have our messages showing exactly what you said before I sent the payment. Please send the full refund now so we can close this matter. read more

Technician/Adam came out and did not complete the job. He cut a key but could not complete the process of making the keypad so he stated he would return the next day to finish the key as it was getting late. He asked for payment in full which we didn't feel comfortable giving being this was our first interaction with the company. We paid $155 of the $250 balance with the expectation he would return the next day to finish. The key that he cut does not work at all. After calling all morning at 2pm he finally answers after I had someone else call from another number. He then says he will finish the job but not today. After asking for an expected date he can complete job he got mad and hung up in my face. I am a very professional and reasonable person so this type of behavior is completely unacceptable and uncalled for. Adam was upset because he said my husband called him to many times regarding the key. But if he had held true to his word and returned he wouldn't have had so many missed calls from him. No one ever yelled at the technician or got rude with him so his behavior was completely unexpected. He became extremely frustrated when he realized we wanted the job completed and paying a portion of the price wasn't going to suffice for us. The worst part of it all, the key doesn't work at all so we paid for a shell of a key, $155. After hanging up in my face he blocked my number so when I called back I got his voicemail. I left a message telling him I would give him a little time to either come out and finish the job or return the money and he could pick up the nonworking key at his convenience. I further stated that if he didn't contact us I would just go forward with filing a police report and whatever next steps would be necessary. He then decided to text me a very long, extremely unprofessional message saying he wasn't going to do anything to rectify the situation. Completely unacceptable, not reliable, not honest, unethical business. read more

I am sharing my experience so others can be aware.I contacted this locksmith to make a key for a vehicle I purchased. He told me the car started and asked me to send the payment through Zelle. Based on his statement, I sent the payment immediately. After testing the vehicle properly, there is no ECU communication and no check engine light, which makes it technically impossible for the car to start in that condition, even with a correctly programmed key. After receiving the payment, he changed his statement and said the key does not work. He also kept the key and refused to return my full payment. When I tried to resolve the situation, he blocked communication instead of handling it professionally. Please be careful and make sure everything is verified before sending any p read more

I had a very disappointing experience with Adam from Expert Locksmith. He charged me $280 for the first key he made, and it broke after only 4 months. When I contacted him again, he charged me another $100 for a replacement key, which stopped working after just 3 months. On top of that, Adam lost my original key while working on the job. For the amount of money charged, the quality and professionalism were very poor. I would not recommend his service. read more

First of all, Adam made me pay up front for the key. He didn't disclose to me that some features of the remote may not work. He did however told me the remote start will work. After the work was completed, I realize that the fob was different from my original. He claimed that it is an upgrade aftermarket fob. Then I realize that the panic button did not work. He then claimed that he does not guaranty all the feature would work and I should be grateful that I have a key to drive my car. I wish Adam would disclosed that information before taking my $337 especially since I had other options. he feel that he tricked me into doing the job. I'm very disappointed with his service. I wish I had gone to the dealership and get a key made for only 30 dollar more. read more

If there was an option for zero stars these individuals would definitely have it. I contacted Adam a little over a month ago about getting a key made for my vehicle. When I finally did decide to use his service, the key died literally two weeks after me having it, and instead of him replacing the key, he advised me to go and buy another battery. I gave this man $275 when he quoted me 180 over the phone, extremely unprofessional and very much over priced. Then had the audacity to tell me that warranty was an additional $75 when he didn't even make my key the exact same way it was given at the dealership which he claimed he could do but apparently not it didn't even come with the push to start. The key given was very generic. I will never waste my money again are scammers all the way around. read more

Terrible service, paid $350 for a key fob, specifically asked that the remote would start and told yes it would. 3 weeks later I tried the remote start and did not work. I asked him to come check it and he was extremely rude and unprofessional and refused to fix it. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. read more

Adam gave me a discount if I gave him a good review on Yelp. FYI that some of these reviews may be inflated due to that. My situation: I lost my Prius fob while visiting a café with a friend. Another locksmith had neglected to call me back after I'd waited an hour. I called Adam; his price was substantially less than the dealership's prices, so I went with him. However, I thought I was paying for a programmed fob. Come to find out after I'd paid him (and after I'd written my review) that, no, he had not programmed anything. Rather, I'd paid a fair amount for a physical key. I now have to spend more money to get the fob programmed. I was desperate, and I suppose this is what happens when one is desperate. It's disappointing. read more

Very happy! Adam was super friendly and helpful. He arrived on time for our scheduled meeting and made my key in like 5 minutes. We lost the last key to our car at a night club last night, we called the lost and found and they said they didn't have it. having no keys at all for your car is a horrible experience, we called numerous locksmiths in the area but everyone wanted ridiculous prices and wanted us to make appointments but we needed it done relatively soon so we could get around the city and go to work. We called up Expert Locksmith and spoke to the owner Adam and he gave us a price beater than anyone else and was at our apartment in about 20 min from the time of calling, he is a professional and it's clear Adams been doing this for years, he got us a new key and us back into the car in no time, if I ever have an issue with losing keys again Adam is going to be the first person I call his services cannot be beat. read more

I was totally dissatisfied. I paid $200.00 for 2 car keys that do not work. I can't believe that they did not know the car key for the year and type had a chip. I had to pay first when finished. The 2 keys did not work. My car started before this. Come to find out the wrong key for my car was made and he rushed off. I called and Adam was rude and would not not correct the job or refund my money. I would never use again or recommend to anyone. read more

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!! I repeat DO NOT!!! I was just getting off work when I noticed my key wouldn't turn my ignition. I find This business, call the number and speak to Adam. at first everything seemed ok, we had a conversation, he told me he was going to be on the way In 20 min. when he arrives, he's trying to rush me saying he has other jobs to do making me feel uncomfortable then made me pay upfront $250 after he told me he can fix the problem. as he's working he brakes off 2 keys into my ignition, he goes and makes one more key and tells me the problem is fixed and to try the new key. Key is still not turning the ignition. I told him just change the started. He then takes off my lower dash panel(lost some screw and broke off some of the holding clips.", didn't fit back properly). he then tells me that he didn't have the ignition switch to replace It. he then says He knows a way to fix it so i won't have the problem. At this point he takes out a drill and drills out my ignition. he told me to start my car with a screwdriver. at this point I asked for a refund which he refused to give me. If you're having trouble deciding on a locksmith to assist you with replacing a key fob or programming a new one, look no further. I lost my only key fob I had left and was unable to start my car at all. I gave Expert Locksmith & Security a call and Adam was there within 30 minutes and gave me an unbeatable price with amazing customer service. Adam is not only a great guy, but a very skilled technician as he had my new key fob programmed in no time, and he even took time to ensure that the fob was fully functional with the Smart Key capabilities and the locking mechanisms. Check my profile, I'm honest with my feedback. This was one of the best yelp experiences that I've had. Adam showed up when he said, charged what he quoted, and walked me through the process, answering all of my questions. Super nice guy. I assumed I'd need to take my car to the dealer for my stuck ignition, but Adam fixed it without issues. The quick research that I did online showed that his prices were right in line with others. I might have saved a few bucks (stressing might, as no one sent me a lower quote), but the process was so smooth that I don't think the extra effort would have been worth it. Everyone else that I messaged asked a million questions before giving a quote (even though I was very thorough with the info I sent). Adam immediately knew what was going on, sent me a quick quote without the hassle, and stuck with the price. Thoroughly impressed. read more

I wish Yelp would let me give Adam and Expert Locksmith & Security six star because 5 just isn't enough! From his prompt initial response, to his on time arrival, Adam was professional, polite, and skilled.
