I went here on Saturday due to all the great reviews. I made an appt with Russ online. When I arrived, the owner said not to have Russ because he only does men's cuts. OK, so I wait. Then a man took me to his chair (never introduced himself) and starts cutting away before I even said what I wanted. I asked for a shampoo... then explained what I wanted. He did a good job but didn't speak English, so I had to communicate by hand gestures. Then the bill. Haircuts are 14.00, but 4.00 extra for shampoo, then 5.00 extra for women's cut, then another 10.00 for the time it took to do my hair. So 14 became 33. I gave the guy a 5.00 tip...now 38. Not cool. My husband has been going here for quite awhile. He usually goes to them same people because they always do a good job. Today was very busy and he could not go to the same people he normally goes to so, my husband went to JULLIE who did a terrible job! He will continue to go because this is a great business with great prices and he just made the mistake of going to a different person today because, of how busy it was. Overall amazing place with reasonable prices, just avoid JULLIE at all cost; she really did bad. Very disappointing, my husband looks terrible. Please have her trained properly. read more

Absolutely awful. They didn't understand at all what I wanted and not only was the haircut not what I asked for, it also looked terrible. I had been growing out my hair for 3 years just for them to ruin it with an choppy and uneven hairstyle and cut it way too short. At one point someone walked in and she looked back and started talking to him while still chopping away at my hair. I walked out of there looking like I belonged in a haircut fail video, with my bangs flat, uneven and above my eyebrows (I asked for a curtain bang look). Afterwards I asked her about hair dye options and she kept saying she didn't know, even though she was supposedly a licensed cosmetologist. Only go here if you absolutely do not care how you look, which in that case, you may as well cut your own hair for free. Not worth your time unless you want to laugh about getting the worst haircut you could pay for. read more

Nice little place that seems to be popular, but my cut wasn't great. I came in with an idea and it definitely wasn't realized. I guess I expected my stylist to have a better understanding of my hair, and how to tame it. I'm a male that had pretty thick, medium length hair and was looking for a shorter style. On to the next salon. Just to be clear this is a good place for a simple, no frills haircut. I brought an older friend and he was satisfied with his cut from noki. It's Not cheap any more. I went to get hair cut. On price list it was $14 for hair cut of seniors and $1 discount if you pay cash. I had long hair and she charged me $16 including my $1 discount of cash pay. so I paid $17 for hair cut. I did not argue that time but did not look professional. read more

Beware of the eyebrow waxing. Just went in today and had the skin ripped off my head. She claims I have sensitive skin but I believe the wax was too hot. Also, she did a terrible job with overall eyebrows so I wouldn't recommend at all. read more

This place is a hidden gem! I used to go to places like Floyd's and Boardroom to spend $30-$40 per cut after tip and still get inconsistent cuts and sometimes very long waits. This place is almost never a wait. I have had 3 different people cut my hair so far and every one has done an excellent job! I think the cut was $11. Less than half the price!! This means I go a lot more often and look fresh all the time!! read more

WOW! This place really deserve a 5 stars. The staffs are friendly and professional. I always have an opinion on how I want my hair to look. Sometime, even I give specific instruction about how to cut my hair, but some stylists don't like to follow them. But not in Expert Clip. They listened to what I want and following them correctly. I recently brought my child in for a haircut. The place was pretty crowded, so we had to wait about 15-20 minutes for our turn. Maya was our stylist. I'll admit my child was tired and cranky by the time she started his haircut, so it wasn't the easiest cut, but she spent less than 10 minutes, gave a mediocre haircut, and charged me $25!! The cut it supposed to be $12...she charged twice as much for the inconvenience. I will NEVER go here again! read more

I do not recommend this place for woman hair cut. I got a weird looking and uneven hair cut. Top layer was oddly short.Now I have to spend more money to fix my hair at another place. The hairdresser Stacy ( i think that's her name) kept pulling my hair when she was cutting and even sprayed some water in my ear. What a horrible experience. Will never return here. read more

Im the guy that everytime i get my haircut, i say to myself, "i should just cut my own hair and save this money." Thank god i havent tried as im sure it would turn out ugly af..But finally since finding this joint, i can get my hair cut guilt free simply due to the affordable price. For the money this place is awesome. Its my new go to spot for a good affordable cut. Horrible customer service from the owner. Talk behind you in Korean. She also treated her staffs horribly according to one of her staff.

Mya the owner is a piece of work. She butchered my hair. I'm pretty sure she faked her cosmetology license because she can't even cut a straight line. I went in for the simplest of cuts - just wanted a straight cut, nothing more, nothing less. She started out by not even wetting my hair. I have wavy hair -- which means if you don't wet it, some strands are longer, some shorter; there's no way to cut it all the same length. I insisted that she wet my hair. I asked her to cut no more than 1 .5 inches, she cut off 3. THREE! When I got home and looked at the back of my hair I was astounded. A drunk blowing a 2.0 could walk a straighter line. AND, there were so many strands that she complete missed! Strands that were still 3 inches longer than the rest. My friends got a kick over how ridiculous it looked. I went back in to show her and she was beyond rude. She said she would recut it. NO way! I wouldn't let her touch my hair again with a 10-foot pole. I demanded a refund and she told me I was too picky. I have photos to prove it if anyone wants to see -- just respond and I'll send them to you. NEVER EVER EVER go to this shop. I wouldn't even let her brush my dog. That would be animal cruelty. read more

My haircut is about 3 inches shorter than I asked for. We had a talk about it, I showed her a picture. I walked away with a chin length mom bob. From the front it's shaped like a mushroom. It's a very awkward length. At least it's even on both sides. I think she might've cut it too short on accident as she was greeting customers while blindly snipping my hair. I would get Akeelah (or Keyla as she is also known) to give me a hair cut at the Great Clips by Tom Thumb at Alma and Hedgcoxe and she left one day and nobody knew where to find her. I luckily had her phone number and tracked her down. She has opened up her own business in Plano right behind Kirby Vacuum on Custer and Parker - It is called Expert Clip and she sure is an expert. Came for a toddler haircut and while I know it's difficult, the barber was extremely impatient. The nature of this place, it feels like a DMV office with all the people waiting, makes the barbers want to move through quickly. They don't seem to want to have you occupy a seat for more than 10 minutes. The barber blamed my wife and I for our toddler wiggling and crying, finally refusing to finish the cut. A little compassion and patience would've gone a long way. I'm sure this place does the job for many, but you get what you pay for here. read more
