I had an car emergency key laser cut. Even though I communicated via Yelp messaging first the process seemed shady. A van shows up with no logo, no commercial tags, and you hand your keys over through a half opened window. I was imagining that anyone could make an "extra" copy for themselves! Might have been different story if I needed more services performed, but the tech didn't get out of the truck at any time! Odd. But this business had a good reputation, the quote was correct, and the tech dealt fairly with me. Though I didn't catch his name I assume it was the Boris that I saw in Yelp messaging. But that's the way things are now, they come to you or you go to the dealer. The dealer is ridiculous. Every service starts at $150 and then you still have to buy the blanks from them, put up with the upsells, and so on. Here I was out only $40. And I brought my own blank. I had originally deducted a star for having me stand in the heat while he disappeared into the back of a van to work. But that was unfair.
