Tim was also recommended by one of his neighbors who I am close friends with and trust. My car smelled like cigarettes even though no smokers are ever in my car. Opened the hood and noticed a huge pink blob. Turns out the plastic hose to the radiator was broken and I have been leaking coolant. Tim gave me the diagnosis, found a local store that carried my Toyota parts and had Gustavo repair that hose and another one. Took about three hours so I went home and got a ride back. Tim, Marie and Gustavo were super pleasant and helpful. It wasn't cheap but certainly reasonable and I prefer a job well done and trustworthy honest people first and foremost. I definitely would recommend this place and would come back if I had any problems. Located on 29 on the left across from the BMW dealership.

I was trying to find the auto repair shop at 2850 Prosperity Ave which is actually a great place and I have gone there often for great service. I accidentally parked in their parking lot and thought " ok I'm here let me give them a chance"..... well I went to the front desk a woman behind the desk who looks to be about 50 years old and a cigarette smoker was very rude about not having time to take my car. NOW GOOD BUSINESS would be to say- We can't take your car now but why don't you come back at X time on X day, but this woman just turned me away so they apparently don't want money or business since they just turned me away in a rude way. So I hope this review helps them not make money since they apparently don't want it. My recommendation is get a new front desk lady and if that's the owner....... oh boy. I actually hope that's the owner because I'd hate to think an employee would be so destructive to a company and make them loose business

So I was waiting for a call to let me know when a used part could come in. But days past without a call and really needed a car. I had to be really proactive about making sure he was trying other vendors or letting me know any part leadtimes. Ultimately, under a time crunch I decided to move forward with one part of the repair as the pair was not crucial to driving. But I could have made that decision sooner if there was good communication.

Terrible business. Avoid at all costs…read more I had some paint discoloration on my front bumper and passenger side door. This person had me park in a random apartment parking lot where he attempted to complete the work to fix the discoloration. He did not have any professional equipment. He attempted to use a touch-up paint spray can to fix the paint discoloration (as opposed to a spray gun) When he applied the spray paint, it dripped everywhere and was extremely discolored. When I told him that I wasn't happy with the job he said to "just wait" and that the paint would "blend in" as it dried. After an awkward 10 minutes of waiting for the paint to dry, it was evident that the problem would not go away and the discoloration and paint drip that he made from the spray can (which was worse than the original paint discoloration). When I told him that the work was not acceptable, he told me to just "pay for the supplies" and then asked over and over again for $75 (which is what he claims the spray can touch up paint cost). I should emphasize here that the job looked absolutely terrible, worse than It was originally and he asked for the original payment we agreed on, and after I said no he pressured me to just pay for the materials. I told him no and that he had to fix the problem he made on both the front and the side. He attempted to fix both. He removed the paint job he did from both the front and the side door. The front paint fix looked a little better after he struggled to get the paint to not drip and blend in but even the second time he attempted to fix the front the paint still dripped down but the paint blend was better (shown in the pictures of the front). He also attempted to fix the side door which he had damaged with the dripping and discoloured paint. It did not work and (after running out of paint from the spray can he had) he gave up (shown in the pictures of the side door). At this point, he asked again that I pay him what we had agreed on for the job. When I pointed out that the paint job he had completed looked terrible he again told me to "just let it dry" as it would look fine after it dried (the pictures shown are 24 hours after he "completed" the job) When I refused, he got visibly and audibly angry and agitated. I told him that I would not be paying until he fixed it. We then sat in this random car park he had made me come to and argued for 20 minutes about payment. He pulled out every sob story there is. He told me that he had no money to feed his kids, showed me pictures of his kids, had me take a picture of his license, told me that he lived at the apartment blocks (which I later found out he did not), told me that he has no family/friends to help out with money, told me that he had other customers waiting for him, told me that I was the only customer for that day, told me that his kids would starve that night, told me that he had no money to pay his babysitter for the kids, told me that his parents had just died. Also told me that he just drives around all day looking for people to ask to fix their cars and that because he hadn't found any for that day that I was robbing his kids of food. Throughout this whole encounter, he kept telling me that if there was an issue with the job (which there obviously was throughout) then he would come and fix it at no expense. When I eventually called him on his bluff and said that I would go and get food for his kids and drop it off to them he said that he would come back in two days and fix the job and that he would be expecting full payment upon his return in two days. He seems like a nice guy but does not have any of the equipment required to do bodywork and clearly doesn't know what he is doing. He lied to me multiple times and tried to scam me / take advantage of me. Avoid at all costs.

I got Action Auto Body's information from Geico, and asked them to pick up my car from the place it had been towed to to tell me the worst. Over the next few weeks they were everything that was patient and helpful and informative as I tried to figure out what to do about my car - whether it made sense to repair it or just move on. In the end, when I regretfully concluded that the cost of repair was significantly more than the value of the car, they helped me broker a sell to the shop out back. They didn't even charge me for the initial tow to their shop or any of the diagnostic work they did for me. I thought they were legit. Will definitely bring my new car to them for repair work!
