Last year my spouse died and our world fell apart! Slowly things are falling into place! Last weekend was our first Buddies event! I had been praying for something like this for a while! I'm so happy that I went and look forward to future events!

Unfortunately, there are not enough resources for parents and siblings. Here at IAO, we pride ourselves on providing the SUPPORT, RESOURCES, TRAINING, & COMMUNITY that parents and siblings desperately need. Our three main programs are YANA "You are not alone," PAK “Parents Are Key University,” and Buddies. While these programs focus on helping parents and siblings with mental health and special needs understanding, they also simultaneously help the special needs individual. In turn, this creates a family that is not just getting by but actually thriving in school, at home, and in the community.

I would however challenge anyone to find a Christian among the staff, clientele, and teachers. In particular, it was found out that a teacher had been practicing a pagan ritual during the Halloween season. She had additionally invited the children and a few parents to participate (i.e. burning candles and making offerings to the dead). When "called out" about this ritual, the staff and teacher made "life very difficult" to put it mildly. This is simply one of many occurrences. Before enrolling, please do your "homework" and ask around the community. There are other options, as far as Christian schools.

The registration process was smooth and easy, and I really appreciated all the classes, resources, and support offered to parents. As a first-time homeschool family, I had so many questions, and the one-on-one guidance we received helped us learn the apps, understand the systems, and get both of my boys comfortably settled in. The teachers my sons had in 4th and 5th grade have been absolutely wonderful. They have been supportive, encouraging, and truly made a difference in our experience. I have also been very impressed with the IEP support. The team reached out early, guided us through the process, and has been incredibly helpful throughout. We felt supported from the beginning. One of my favorite things is the transparency and technology. Parents have real-time access to student calendars, assignments, grades, and progress, which makes it so easy to stay involved and support our children. The materials, technology, communication, and overall support have been outstanding. Most importantly, I've seen such a positive change in both of my boys academically. We are truly grateful for Sage Oak and all they have done for our family.

My child on other occasions did homework with a classmate, yet got a low grade. This school has gone downhill with a lot of things, and will allow your child to fail. There interventions are a waste of time, they are not helpful and more of just asking questions about the homework itself, not really what you would call tutoring at all. Look into other Charter Schools! Do not waste your time!

I went to inquire about enrolling my child into this school and received very rude treatment from…read morethe front office (Cassandra). I was completely turned off by her unprofessionalism, lack of eye contact, and the way she treats children. The front desk/office is the face of an establishment, the representation of what is the come. After talking with different parents I came to found out the following: * HIGH turnaround on teachers/staff. * The area is bad. * Homeless are constantly within feet of the school and the police don't always clear them out in the mornings. * Restrictions on taking your own child out of school during after hours!? * Over capacity of students. Most often times they need to eat lunch in their classrooms. *During the summer, the air conditioners don't always work, and the children are forced to eat outside with no shade. *Every year, at least 1 teacher leaves the school. Sometimes mid-year! Do yourself a huge favor and do your due diligence. Talk to other parents there and drive around during business hours and you can see it all for yourself.
