Due to needing to prioritize my…read moreresponsibilities as a father, I informed the school that I needed to take a temporary leave of absence to ensure my personal obligations were properly handled before returning. The school approved a 90-day leave agreement. However, around day 82, before the agreed period ended, the school contacted me and informed me that my program was being shut down. They also stated that I would not receive my certificates and that I would still be responsible for outstanding fees and payments, despite the program being discontinued before I could complete it. I would not recommend this school. As a nonprofit organization, they often experience delays in receiving materials, sometimes taking two to three months. The staff's communication with students is unprofessional, and they do not provide meaningful assistance with job placement after completion. However, if someone is simply looking for a way to pass time, this school may be an option. Mr.Bridges

If you are unable to self, teach your self material then this school is not for you. The administrative staff does nothing to help resolve your concerns. The Director of nursing will also withhold your credits if you complete the program and do not pass their comprehensive exam when you are eligible by law to challenge the LVN board. You will consistently spend money on exit exams, roughly 80$ A test. before you begin this program you should check with the board if there are any past incidents on the nursing license of the Director of nursing and any other instructor that you may be concerned. Many students that have completed the program, but have not been guided or helped to pass. The exit exam did nothing with their LVN credits from clinical and theory and we're never able to further their education or let alone get an LVN license.

I had a deeply disappointing experience at SJVC Hesperia Victor Valley during my final semester…read more After investing significant time, money, and effort into completing my program, I was wrongfully terminated under circumstances that felt unjust and inconsistent. I was accused of misrepresenting the school simply for choosing to wear a beanie -- a minor dress code concern that escalated far beyond reason. Meanwhile, I observed other students violating dress code policies in the main hallways in front of staff without facing similar consequences. The inconsistency in enforcement created the impression of selective discipline rather than fair policy application. Instead of receiving guidance or a warning to correct the issue, the situation turned into formal action that ultimately ended my academic progress at the final stage. That outcome felt disproportionate and deeply frustrating. "Job placement" is a lie, i am still cool with other HVAC guys. Still lacking employment, hoping to do better than me. I found apprenticeship based off my own search. With no help from SJVC. For anyone considering alternatives, pursuing a degree through a CSU program is significantly more cost-effective -- often around 70% cheaper -- and provides more time and flexibility to explore which trade or career path truly fits. Taking the slower, more patient route through a public university can offer better financial value and broader options before committing to a specialization. Prospective students deserve transparency, consistency, and fair treatment. Based on my experience, those standards were not upheld.
