I am a loss for words I never expected what I have gotten from this program this school and I look forward to a better future a better career I honestly don't have the words how I feel about what this school and education means to me . I have never seen anyone go above and beyond like they have here for their students. I am grateful and look forward to my future. When it was dim there is light. I don't get paid to say this. I am forever grateful thank you Sjvc for a better future. read more

I had a deeply disappointing experience at SJVC Hesperia Victor Valley during my final semester. After investing significant time, money, and effort into completing my program, I was wrongfully terminated under circumstances that felt unjust and inconsistent. I was accused of misrepresenting the school simply for choosing to wear a beanie -- a minor dress code concern that escalated far beyond reason. Meanwhile, I observed other students violating dress code policies in the main hallways in front of staff without facing similar consequences. The inconsistency in enforcement created the impression of selective discipline rather than fair policy application. Instead of receiving guidance or a warning to correct the issue, the situation turned into formal action that ultimately ended my academic progress at the final stage. That outcome felt disproportionate and deeply frustrating. "Job placement" is a lie, i am still cool with other HVAC guys. Still lacking employment, hoping to do better than me. I found apprenticeship based off my own search. With no help from SJVC. For anyone considering alternatives, pursuing a degree through a CSU program is significantly more cost-effective -- often around 70% cheaper -- and provides more time and flexibility to explore which trade or career path truly fits. Taking the slower, more patient route through a public university can offer better financial value and broader options before committing to a specialization. Prospective students deserve transparency, consistency, and fair treatment. Based on my experience, those standards were not upheld. read more

SJVC is an amazing college. I have had the best experience. The teachers, The Dean and Ms. White are amazing people! Every morning Ms. White come to the class and says Good Morning to everyone! The Dean is an amazing person, if you have a problem she will help you and be there for you! Mr Elliott is amazing teacher and you can tell that he loves his job. I have learned so much from him that I am very grateful I have such a good teacher! Super excited because soon I will be done with class and I will be graduating!! read more

The only reason I am giving this a 1 Star is because of the teachers. This school could be so much better but I feel that the teachers are under paid and under staffed they use money to paint the school and re do the pavement but the operatories run out of materials and things need to be upgraded and maintenanced! I was told I would get my money back from taking my exam but never received it. Everything is very rushed and some teachers don't seem to want to be there. Once you graduate good luck on getting ahold of anyone they don't seem to care. read more

If you have money to throw away you will love going here. I now have $12,000 in student loans for a program I could have done have done for free. Don't even bother doing the Pharmacy Tech program unless you are a teacher's pet or a family member of hers. Her daughter did the same program at no charge and was somehow licensed over a month before the class she started with. read more

This school is a joke. My significa other took the HVAC course and has not found anything. Everywhere that he applies they say that SJVC does not teach them correctly. He has messaged the person to assist him with jobs and she does not return the messages. Just go to another school. I was thinking of going to further my nursing career as a RN but after seeing what he is going through i would go elsewhere. read more

If I could give it no stars I would. Upon starting for the RDA program it was a good experience till class actually started and I got farther into the program that it became clear to me that all this school cares about is their stats for the school and program. They only care about your appearance and that tattoos or piercings are visible or the fact that you have artificial nails. Because when a teacher was told about another student cheating in class, it was completely overlooked and not even discussed, but when I had my nails done, they threatened to kick me from the program. Their loyalties are only to the money and the numbers, not even caring about dignity or the actual learning experience. Don't waste your time on student aid, because it doesn't even cover half the cost of the school and they do little to even help with that. read more

I want to thank Nikki, Audri , Elvia and the director of SJVC for going far and beyond to help get started on my classes a few days before they started, the welcome vibe that you receive when you walk into the facility is warm welcoming and and almost feels like being at home I'm excited and looking forward to my Medical Assistance program with them I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart and appreciate the love and support that you guys gave to begin my journey Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!! read more

This school is amazing. I'm a current student and these courses are very good and educational!

SJVC is a great school to start your career goals at. Ive learned alot through this school. I came in with little to no knowledge of medical terminology and medical careers. They gave me a push when I walked in those doors to view the campus. They knew somehow that I was going to do amazing in this field. I will admit that I had my doubts on some days. However, Herman Elliott pushed me through every one of those. I wouldn't of graduated let alone ride out the program if it wasn't for him. He had a way of making the class come together despite everyone's differences. It was a judge free zone. It was a safe zone. He should be the face of the school. The school overall had great programs to learn off of. It was a little difficult to navigate in the beginning, but you eventually get the hang of things. However as soon as you hit externship, it's like they leave you out in the dark. I hope it gets better with time. read more

I am an online graduate from SJVC my experience was a great one. All the staff was very helpful during times when life wasn't so good. I would like to give my career advisor Helene Davson and extra thank you for sticking by me to gain employment. If your considering going to SJVC do it. I was able to receive my certification for medical assistance and my Associates Degree of Science which prepared me for my current position and career. Thanks to everyone that played a part in my success !!! read more

So you've come here because you're interested in returning to school? You must be desperate. Save your money and go to a community college. Any community college or just give me your money and I'll train you to be a janitor. The credit I'll give you and the ones you accrue at SJVS will literally be worth the same. I started in July initially I was excited to start something new. Shortly after enrolling I had issues with the instructor mistreating me. They need to offer more hands on experience everyday. 40,000 for lectures I could do myself on YouTube and they don't have actual textbooks, like a college should. The amount of inappropriate conversations an instructor has with students is not professional. The staff will buy you with a fake smile but once you enter they change and switch up all the staff is rude. The lady at the front desk has such a bad attitude anytime you try to talk to her. Oh, can't forget the Dean Mrs. Elekana calling me a snitch because I came to her telling her her instructor was talking to students about taking them to a nightclub. I would highly suggest looking for a college where you Will get treated with respect, and you won't get bullied and find a place that's worth paying your money for. They act like a bunch of immature high schoolers and I'm not talking about the students most of the staff. I had a very bad experience and I won't ever attend here again. Learned my lesson. read more

School is a scam. They butter you up so much when you first start but its all marketing tactics. The actual classes were lacking of any real instruction or knowledge. I went for DA and they didn't even teach me how to suction, as their machines were constantly "broken." In fact, most of what you will learn comes from a 300 hour long (unpaid ofc) externship, at an office who has no intention of hiring you. I also constantly got belittled by the dean of the school who treated me like I was a child. There was petty squabbles between the night class and the morning class, as if it were high school all over again. On top of that, you had your duty to clean the classroom yourself. Only attend here if you feel like paying 12k+ to work for free and learn nothing. read more

I did not work that hard in school to just let it go to wasted! Once you done with the school they don't care about you they just leave you to dry! Because at the end of the day they still got paid ! read more

I went in today to inquire about the Pharmacy Technician program. Ray is my admissions advisor. He did a great job explaining the program.

BIGGEST SCAM EVER!!!!!!! Please learn from my mistake and do not fall for their manipulative marketing schemes and predatory lending tactics! this school is 100% FOR PROFIT and does not provide a quality education whatsoever. please do your research before taking the path of least resistance through SJVC. It will definitely not turn out how you imagine or are made to believe. As an 18 year old i was slick talked into a 30k dollar loan. In order to sucker you in, the comission driven admissions advisors will pump you up with the loftiest projections for your future, saying things such as "Once you graduate you will easliy be able to land a job that pays 30k a year and will have no problem paying the loan" and that they provide "Job placement"....HA! nothing can be further from the truth. Save yourself the hassle and look for a non profit school or take the extra time in community college, the curriculum at this school is nowhere near college level and you will be treated like a child, they will prance you around and have students attend events in order to use them as a pawns in obtaining marketing materials/internet clicks to sucker other people into this trap. THIS SCHOOL IS A JOKE and once you realize the reality of the situation you will have already attended half of the program and are liable for the entire cost! (look over the cost break down!!!!) I do not like the religious pressure of this school. Separation of church and state much? Get your god out of my school! They have their ceremonies at churches for pete's sake. In any case. I loved ms. Krumsiek. She was so nice, and really motivated me to do my best. She didn't go easy on me but she was fair. read more

Absolutely cherished my time in school here. I was in the administrative health care management courses. I believe the outcome of your success here and in the real world is essentially determined by your work ethic and motivation to learn, study and ask questions. The instructors I had were absolutely amazing including Mrs.Porter and Mrs.Green. They were amazing and know from schooling and experience in the real world. They tell you how work is ideally supposed to go and inform you on the hiccups that can come your way. Absolutely amazing school and will always recommend them to others who are looking for a great faced paced education! read more

Changing the e-courses in the middle of a mod (semester) was a bad idea and not training the students on how to work it. Instructors overall are good teachers just all have different methods of teaching. People have tendencies to find ways to cheat but in any college that's what happens. You have no worries about getting into classes the schedule is set up for you. No waitlists!!!!! Overall a good school.! Would recommend to anyone who wants a good future and who is actually dedicated to learning. read more

This school does NOT have a religious pressure, pull, nor do they incorporate any religious aspects in the teachings. Previous reviewer must have reviewed the WRONG college. SJVC is a very fast paced, private Junior College. This college was a last resort for me because Victor Valley Community College was ridiculous to even try to attend. SVJC has a strong staff and so far I love the teachers (even though in the 4 courses I've taken I've only had one instructor). Mr. Patch is a great teacher who is mostly with the Business Administration program but he makes learning fun and interesting. All work, though some tough, we get through it with flying colors. I'm not the brightest, but I still obtained academic excellence my first 2 courses. The course material is valuable to me and pertains to my future plans. I'm glad that I made the choice to attend SJVC- Hesperia. A pet-peeve for me, Uniform Dress Code, they are kind of strict because it is a "Business Environment" and the parking is not organized and the schools extracurricular events are usually last minute and they don't always have all the details. Drives me nuts! read more

Love this school always an upbeat attitude around the campus from staff and students. Staff is always easy to talk to and helps you get thru all your class in any obstacle you face. I graduated in 2011 for billing and coding and came back and passed my MA 2019 woop woop. Really enjoyed Ms. White and Mrs. King as teachers; Mrs Taylor is wonderfuly helpful in helping you complete your resume and with helping you lots more too. Very helpful staff. There's always someone willing to help you. They want you to succeed, but of course you have to do your part.

I was concerned that I was too old to return to school, but all of the teachers, instructors, staff and students at SJVC were so nice to me. Everyone went over and above what they needed to help me when I needed help on assignments or paperwork. I think anyone who would like to continue education would enjoy the fast paced, but amazing assistance they would get from SJVC. Instructors are key! read more

30,000 to be a medical assistant, where, if you're not bi-lingual, you'll never pay this loan back by getting employed. some of the "teachers" were still in school themselves without even so much as a Bachelor's degree. Having to ask to use the restroom as an adult is ridiculous. Most of the schoolwork is busywork, and students cheat constantly. Glad it's over. read more

While I enjoyed this particular campus the school itself tries to stick it to Veterans that utilize their GI Bill and don't complete a program. They would submit, for payment, to the VA for each MOD (semester) and then even at one point gave me a check for over payment by the VA but when I stopped my program at the beginning of a new MOD they now try to say that I owe money and will be sent to collections. They say they've attempted to contact me numerous times and that I never called them back, I did attempt to call back each time ( their idea of numerous times was 2) each time I attempted to call back and was only able to leave a message and they wouldn't call me back. Their VA financial program needs an overhaul and their accounting staff needs training in customer service. UPD9 days ago someone from SJVC responded on here and said that someone would follow up with me and here I am still waiting to here from someone in management. Great follow up!! UPDATE: while I appreciate the response from DIANA S. At SJVC according to the VA, as of this morning 4/16/18, SJVC has yet to respond to the VA. Actions speak louder than words and as of right now I only hear silence! read more

The school is overall a good school. Just be prepared to spend 14 months in a degree program. The students are friendly and helpful. I've had a great time there in the 7 months of my 14 month program. Some of the IT core modules need to be longer ( Hydraulics,Power Transmission). I think that once you check out the school versus some of the other local schools, You would probably sign up. read more
