Ivan has always been kind, courteous, and proffesional in all my dealings, which is usually several times per month because of my job. Abigail is OUTSTANDING as well. She goes way above and beyond to help customers and answer questions. She takes time to check the car out and identify features and others items around each individual vehicle. Recently I handed a car in on a Friday evening and woke up Saturday and could not find a small cross body bag that I had. I was really worried as it contained personal items I needed. I was out of the area, but called as soon as they opened. Abigail went and looked for me as the car was still there. Not only " looked" which would have produced nothing ( I am pretty thorough at drop off ) , she dug in and found my bag. Somehow it wedged itself down into the spare tire area and would not have been found if she was not so thorough in trying to help out. I picked up my bag that day and really cannot express my gratitude for people like her who take pride in their jobs and go that extra mile. I can rent from any place I choose to , but will continue to come here as long as their are employees like Abigail and Ivan.

We rented a Chrysler Pacifica from the airport- the tire pressure was low and was making abnormal sounds w the wheel. The threads were worn out. We rented it for a week for a Texas road trip- drove it for under a day- and didn't feel confident it would get us there safely. Hence went to this Avis to get car exchanged. Salem at this Avis car rental in Walmart worked so quick, efficiently to switch us to another Pacifica. We were so impressed. Thank you Salem!!

I attempted to rent a minivan from this location and had a very concerning experience with an…read moreemployee named Salem. Before I signed any paperwork, my credit card was already charged. When I was later given the rental agreement, I noticed optional insurance coverage had already been added and marked as accepted, with initials requested afterward. When I questioned the charges and stated that I did not want the optional insurance, Salem told me that the insurance "had to be charged because it was the holiday" and implied this was how totals were increased. When I refused to sign for coverage I did not authorize, I was told to "get my stuff and leave." When I attempted to ask additional questions about the charge already placed on my card, he threatened to call the police. At no point should a customer be charged for optional coverage before consent and signatures are provided. I am currently working with the corporate office to address the issue and dispute the unauthorized charge. Salem said he was the manager so i doubt anything will be corrected there I ultimately went to Enterprise instead, where they handled the rental professionally and got me taken care of immediately.

The frustrating part was that they had plenty of Altimas and other vehicles sitting there, but they told me the only thing they had available was a Versa--which was obviously not the case. They were clearly not happy about having to switch the vehicle out. So, based on my experience, unless you're picking up a brand-new rental, don't expect them to be very willing to put you in a different vehicle that you would actually prefer. Even when there are clearly other options available, they seem to make the swap as difficult as possible.

These guys made the whole car rental process incredibly easy from start to finish, and even gave me a few different options to choose from! I called and left a message Monday morning and received a call back from the owner, John Phillips. I pass by his lot every day coming and going and noticed that he always seemed to have lots of nice looking stock on hand. I was in the market for a late model Infiniti and noticed that he had several on hand. When John called me back, I delivered my typical "This ain't my first rodeo speech," so as to let him know that I was not going to be a push over. John was very humble and friendly, it was immediately apparent to me that working with him was going to be fun and easy. After speaking on the phone a few times, curiosity finally got the better of me and I stopped by after work. John is a man's man who loves to talk about fishing and his kids, and we got along famously. He presented me with several options, and earned my trust by revealing several aspects of the deal that are normally kept from customers. It was an educational experience, even for someone like me whose bought several cars and has friends who have their dealers license. The car had some minor imperfections, but John made some calls and got me taken care of. As it turns out, this is not his first rodeo either and he is incredibly well connected, and apparently incredibly influential with his business contacts as he was able to get me some nice freebies and discounts. Having purchased 10 cars since moving to Austin, most of them at Austin Infiniti, I had a good basis for comparison for rating a car buying experience. John and Texas Auto Ranch are far and away the best I've ever encountered, and because of integrity, his personality, and his willingness to go above and beyond, he's earned a customer for life. Here are some pointers: 1. Call him first to find out if he has what you want, or visit his website. 2. He may be able to find what you want if he doesn't already have it. 3. Be nice and you'll be amazed at the level of service you receive. 4. Give John a shot at your financing even if you already have your own lined up. He could have saved me some money, as it turns out. 5. Compare his prices to anyone in town; you'll be amazed. 6. Tell him that you contacted him because of his YELP page, so he'll believe me when I tell him it will actually increase his sales.

Thankfully I found John this time! I was looking for a newer model Infiniti G37 and found the perfect one on AutoTrader. The price was lower by a few thousand than any of the other similar listings and I was a little apprehensive about buying from a small dealer. I emailed an inquiry and John called me back right away. Within 45 minutes I was test-driving my perfect car! Later that day I decided that I wanted it but the only thing I was concerned about was the black interior and John offered to have the windows tinted...the deal was made! I went home filled out the credit app and was approved immediately. John said all I need to do is come in and sign. The next day John took it to the Infiniti dealer to get another key made and then to another place to get the windows tinted. I came in the day after that, signed the paperwork and was out the door in 15 minutes. No trying to upsell me, no BS to deal with. Just straight-forward honesty. So refreshing! If you are looking for a specific car and he doesn't have it, let him know what you want and he can find it for you. Save yourself a lot of time and contact John first! I know I will be calling him when my daughter turns 16 for her first car. I will not go anywhere else from now on!
