Ramin (the owner) and his team at Exotic Aquatics have been so wonderful to work with over the last 3+ years since I started my first saltwater aquarium. They helped me through the entire process including selection of equipment, set-up, choosing the right fish, and they have now serviced my tank regularly for over 3 years. I have been extremely happy with the level of customer service I have been given. They will do whatever it takes to keep the tank looking awesome! They have an excellent selection of fish and fair prices. I have found the employees at the store to be very knowledgeable and friendly. I like this little store. Small selection. Staff is average, usually. I LOVE the woman who works there. She is super knowledgeable and breeds fish of her own (some of the stock was hers). Prices are average. I have never gotten a single sick fish from here. Actually, every fish I've ever got from here has lived from outbreaks that my fish from other stores die from. The store was very nice. Very cool fish and a pretty good selection. However, I got very bad advice on setting up my fish tank. The guy suggested I put some special sand in there and it ended up clogging my filter to the point where it wasn't working properly. He also tried to up sell me on all the essentials. He always suggested the more expensive option. I would not go here if you are a beginner. They will take advantage of you. read more

My air pump for my fish tank was making a loud noise so I drove 25 minutes to Exotic Aquatics, as they were the only pet store opened to buy a new one. When I got home I was surprised to find that my original pump was working fine. I drove all the way back the next morning to return the one I had bought and was told they only give store credit. Keeping in mind I bought it the night before and drove 25 minutes each way, I was upset to say the least. They refused to refund my money and after that experience, I definitely wasn't driving back their to spend the in-store credit they were offering me. So needless to say, I took the pump that I didn't even need, and left. Do not shop here unless you are ok with your item not being returnable. Additionally, they are way overpriced. The pump I bought was $18.99 and could be bought on Amazon for $10.99. I brought that to their attention when I bought it and they didn't seem to care about matching the price. I won't shop there again. I like shopping at places that offer service. read more

I have kept aquariums for a number of years and this shop always has decent prices and a great selection of freshwater (something other shops often lack) Advice has always been accurate (I always research to verify since it so often isn't, ESPECIALLY in chain pet stores. Hands down, my favorite fish store in the area. These guys are very knowledgeable and have a great selection of both freshwater and saltwater fish. If they don't have what you're looking for in stock, ask them about it! It may be something they typically get & will give you a courtesy call when they receive more. read more

Don't come here for your fish needs. Not only did they not have what my wife was looking for, the staff and customers made snide comments about my wife and looked down upon her solely because she was wearing her motorcycle gear. For the record, "Biker Chicks" can also be aficionados and knowledgeable about beta fish. Sad! read more

This place is a nice shop offering both freshwater and marine fish. The selection of fish is very nice and the tanks are very clean and well taken care of, you don't see dead fish lying on the bottom of the tanks. The selection of hard goods at the front of the store is a bit limited but they do offer quality items. Overall, very nice place that I would take time to visit. read more
