Our medical practices can't say enough great things about Rambling Man Logistics! We moved two…read morepractices in two different cities/counties simultaneously into one larger location on the same day. Rambling Man sent two teams with two trucks, carefully loaded all furnishings, boxes, and appliances, then unloaded them just as carefully. They also helped us arrange our furniture, put together desks, and ensured that we were very happy before they left. They even cleaned behind themselves as they went! This team of seven men was kind, polite, and patient with us during this stressful time. And what else is great? After acquiring quotes from three companies, Rambling Man was the least expensive. They provided us with a Certificate of Insurance prior to the move, did walk-throughs of our locations, and ensured that we were pleased afterward. We've already recommended them to others who are moving. I wish I could remember all the names to brag on each employee, but Jason, Chance, and Amy come to mind quickly. Still, every single person who helped us was polite (yes ma'am, no sir, thank you, happy to help), and kind. If you're looking for a great moving team, THIS IS THE ONE!

I beg to differ and my furniture would show the results. I took great pride in my furniture. It's not junk. It's beautiful mahogany funiture that I took great care of. My bedroom suite, my dining room table with leather chairs, buffets, armoires, credenzas and more all dented, dinged, chipped or damaged caused by this company who rushed throwing my furniture around as if it were plastic toys. Oriental rugs tossed in a corner. I had one young man who was gracious enough to help my husband and I who are in our 60's take and roll the rugs properly.A complete disaster and ruined by this so called company. The truth will prevail and word of mouth does have an impact on futures sales. They do not care about your valuables, for them its not a privilege its a job that stops at 5pm.

With less than two weeks notice of moving, I called Barring Moving and Storage. Even with a full schedule, they were willing to work with me to pack my stuff (I was already gone when they picked everything up) and store it until I was ready for delivery. Fast forward, 7 months, I rented a POD to transport my "stuff." They not only loaded the POD, worked with the drop off and pick up times, but when the POD driver left (without the POD) because there was no lock, Kieth put a lock on the container immediately after I called (within minutes). I had the driver turn around to pick up the container, who almost left without it AGAIN because the lock wasn't on right. Kieth, again, went out there to deal with the (very rude) driver and ensure the lock was on the container and the container on the truck. Additionally, they were more than reasonable with pricing... I would recommend them hands down for any small or large move.

The actual move was good. We had no problems and the guys who came were very professional. BUT…read morecustomer service with Amy afterwards has been nothing but a disaster. Our payment bounced. Completely my fault. We had some unsual bills due to my son's death and we accidently were overdrawn. Again completely my fault. However as soon as Amy contacted me about the returned check, I immediately paid her over the phone with a credit card. I then received a letter in the mail from a collection agency that I owe them for the bounced check. I called Amy and she assured me it is an issue she will take care of and not to worry everything is good. 2 weeks later I get another letter. IT is still not taken care of. I call Amy back. Again I am told she will take care of it and she has talked to the agency and not sure why I got another letter. So I called the agency. I was told by them that I STILL owe them the money because they have already paid Amy/Preferred moving. I explained I had paid her and can show proof of payment. They tell me that I still owe them also. They proceed to also tell me that they have sent Amy/Preferred moving multiply emails, all unreturned and made several phone calls, all unanswered or returned about this account still being unresolved. So right now Amy/Preferred Moving is still on a double payment for my move. Not a very honest way to do business in my opinion.

They moved me from Conover to Newton 6 miles. You would think movers would know to take refrigerator doors off or leave open. But no they did not. 16 months later refrigerator is covered in black mold inside. I do not trust cleaning because spores can get into freezer coils and air vents. So $1400 to move and $2600 for a new fridge. A very expensive move that could have been avoided if movers knew what they were doing. Edit.. sense I can not respond to their reply on this review. I personally would not hire a moving company that required a release of liability to correctly store a item like a refrigerator long term. I assumed incorrectly being expert movers they knew what they were doing. After all they are according to them the number one moving company in Catawba County.
