    I hired these gentlemen to make a move of about 370 miles for me. I booked them 2 weeks in…read moreadvance, and warned them that time and injuries were potential factors that could slow packing, and that I might need their help. I contacted them again within a week of moving and said hardly anything would be packed. They said they weren't bringing boxes or packing supplies, I told them I would provide. I called them again as they drove to the move and told them I needed packing done. Bottom line, even though not part of original agreement, I warned them several times about the situation. They packed my storage first on the first day. 4 people allegedly took 7 hrs to pack a fully loaded 10 x 15 storage unit. You do the math. The second day they stated on the main area. Packing needed to be done, and I told them I would ay them an additional $800. Let me hasten to say that at no point did they offer to do this for more money, or try to renegotiate. They did say they would like to leave at 2:30, after arriving at 10a. At 3:30 they said they needed to get diesel in their trucks, and I needed to get either cash or a certified check to pay them the approx. $6k owed (INCLUDING bonus). They called from gas station and asked me to meet them. I paid them and they left. I thought they must have really busted it the last hour. When I returned home I found items and trash in every room. There was a box open and half-packed in the kitchen, as well as a bowl half wrapped on the counter. There were items in every cabinet. The cabinets below the counter had not even been touched. I've attached photos for how it was left. I had to contact a 2nd mover to come and finish the job, at the cost of an additional $3,100. They had caked up an additional 40 boxes!!! Who just walks away from a job!?!? I thought these were good guys, but I truly felt robbed.

    I have paid consistently and on time for 2 units at Save Green Self Storage in Arden, NC, which is…read moreowned by Hawthorne Residential Partners, for 4 years. Yesterday, my access code did not work. My code was not necessary to get in the gate because, as I was told by the woman in the front office, the gate was always left open because it was broken but I needed the code to get into the building that housed my units. I was given another code and that one did not work either, so I was then was given a default code and finally got in the building. Then my keys did not work. The woman at the gate had told me I could ask man who was working nearby to my units for help if the default code did not work, so I asked him for help with the keys. He explained he had previously managed another storage facility and was familiar with the problems people had with those locks, He graciously offered to come help to see if he could get my locks open. He tried the locks repeatedly and told me that the keys I had did not work on the locks on my units and explained that if I didn't have working keys, I'd have to have to call a locksmith. I thanked him and continued jiggling the keys in the locks because I knew they were to correct keys and, after a few minutes, I got one lock open. I opened the door and there was someone else's stuff in my unit. So now, one unit had someone else's stuff and the other I could not get open, so I called the front desk and was told they would do absolutely nothing but lend me a can of WD40. They wouldn't come down and look the other person's stuff or even recommend a local locksmith. I asked them how I should go about handling the situation and they told me they would not tell me anything or help me in any way, besides the can of WD40 of course. I asked if I should call the police and she sarcastically told me "Yes, should call the police". So I called the police who explained the other person's stuff in my unit was a civil matter but that, once I got the other unit open, if my stuff was missing I should call him back and he'd send an officer down for a larceny. The locksmith came. He confirmed that the lock I could not open had indeed been replaced with a different one and that he was shocked I that I had gotten the other one open because that one showed clear signs of damage. Save Green Self Storage changed both of those locks and allowed another person to access my units and, when I attempted to rectify the problem, Save Green Self Storage refused to assist me with anything. Both the police officer and the locksmith were astonished and disgusted by the actions of Save Green Self Storage. I don't recommend you use them for your storage needs. I've added some additional photos. Save Green Self Storage is owned by Hawthorne Residential Partners. When I brought my problem to Hawthorne's attention on their Facebook page they laugh reacted to my message and also removed one of my posts on the page. I've included the pictures of their laugh reaction.

    This was our first time using a moving company so we were very intentional with who we chose as we…read moredidn't want anything to go missing or broken. We did a ton of research and decided on Reign as it was more expensive than other options so we figured would be higher quality. They also had all 5 star reviews so we figured it would be the best. We are now wondering why this is. They are definitely more expensive. They charge more per hour and they also charge a $350 'truck fee' that no one else charges from quotes we got. We were charged over $1700 for 5 hours. What we liked- - It was easy to schedule and they had our date available a few weeks out. They offered to set up a FaceTime to look at our items and make sure they sent out the appropriate number of trucks. - They gave us an hour window of when they would show up, and an update the morning of so we knew when to expect them. - They were nice and made sure they knew exactly what we wanted. We did one last walk through of the old place before we left. They made sure we were happy before they left the new place. We had 3 movers who were kind and seemed trustworthy. - They listened to the writing on the boxes of where to put the boxes in the new house and if it didn't have writing, they put it in the equivalent room in the new house of where they found it in the old house. - They were careful with our things and were able to unassemble and reassemble our pieces. They also wrapped up the furniture items with blankets to preserve them. - They worked quick and efficiently Why we aren't giving them 5 stars: - they stopped at the gas station between the old house and new house and arrived at the new house 30 minutes after us when we were right behind them the whole way up until the gas station. They did ask us if they could stop to get snacks but I didn't realize it would take this long and they did not deduct this from the time they billed us for. - They asked us if we wanted mattress bags for $15 each. I said yes as I figured this would be something we could keep and save for future moves. They did not leave us the bags. So we paid $30 to basically 'rent' 2 bags which I feel we should have been able to keep or not be charged for. Next time I will buy the $15 ones off Amazon that I can keep. - They took a shelf out of our entertainment stand. In the move the nails/pegs fell out. These are specialty nails to hold the shelf in. Now we are unable to use the shelf, and the piece sags without the shelf in. We have since gotten rid of it and gotten a new one. - The top of our desk will not fit properly on when this was never previously an issue and we ultimately can't fix it and will need to get a new one. - They were about to leave and I noticed something was missing so I asked about it and they had to go back on the truck to get it. If I didn't ask, they would've left with it still in the truck. - They did not deliver 2 small decorative pieces of ours that were the last items on the truck- not packed in a box. Which not a huge deal but I noticed shortly after they left, contacted the company, and they were not able to find them. We are completely unpacked and I know these things are not at either of our houses. ** which they did reimburse us for these things which we are thankful for!! Also customer service was very helpful at first when we were trying to find these items and discuss reimbursement, but then it was pretty hard to get ahold of them to confirm our reimbursement agreement and get them paid. It felt like I was tracking them down just to get our reimbursement approved and get them paid. We will likely use a different company next time we move.
