The driver that was dispatched to pick it up. Calls me, and said, he had to change trucks to a 5500 instead of a 3500. Also, he had to do all the work himself to hook it up. So, I had to pay him over 1000 dollars to get it to its destination. Which he had already pulled the camper out of the camper park. I was available to have a conversation with him well before he did any of these things. But, he chose to call me afterwards. He already knew how big it was, and that nobody would be their to help. All he had to do was unplug it, hook it up, push a button to raise the 4 supports, and put away 4 support stands. 20mins tops. Told him that was the deal, and he needed to honor his contract. He said that I could get someone else to come get it, and he would give me his location. Plus, I could barely understand what he was saying through his broken English. After arguing with him for about 10mins. I hung up. Text the dispatcher, and supposedly, he didn't know anything about what was going on. But, when he found out, said, in the contract, any up charge they were not responsible for. I told him that there shouldn't be an uncharge. To tell him to hook it up to the 3500 we agreed on. Do NOT use this service. I had a very bad experience this week with them! Larry had quoted me $650.00 as my TOTAL cost to transport a vehicle from Kissimmee, Florida to New York. I asked if this was the total charge including insurance. He assured me that is was the TOTAL Charge, that I would not have to pay anything more that the $650. After the carrier picked up my car, on his way to NY, the carrier called me and said I should call the Broker to clear my delivery. Having no idea what he meant, I called US Pro Logistics and another man, Alex, told me that I owe $250. more for his Broker Fee. I sent him a copy of my Order/contract which denoted $650. TOTAL...and he kept insisting that it did not include their Brokers Fee, and sent me another "Order/Contract change". That I must pay it or the carrier could not deliver my car. If there was a broker fee, it should have been charged from the get go, and be included in the first Order/Contract. How can they legally change the Cost when the carrier is on the way with my car? I am about to research if this is legal. The TOTAL cost is to be quoted in the beginning and state what it covers. This was very disheartening and I was beside myself!!! They give you a quote to hook you and then add on when you vehicle is already on the way with the "threat" that you will not get your car delivered. Not good business! March 2025: I requested a quote for shipping my small Honda suv from the West coast to the East coast and received a very low figure, which should have been my first red flag. I asked about costs, shipping policies, were there any hidden fees, length of time, etc. I decided to book with US Pro Logistics, and they required a payment upfront to reserve a spot. It seemed easy enough. I did this about a week and a half before the actual shipping date. The day my car was supposed to be shipped, about two hours before expected pickup, the broker/representative called me to say that driver availability was "dry" and quoted me a new price that was more than double the original quote. I was frustrated but the new number was in line with all of the other quotes I had received from other companies, and I already had this arranged so I signed the contract to change it. The rep assigned to work with me texted me that pickup wouldn't be available until the next day, then changed it to the same day and argued with me that he had told me the correct information, even though I had it in writing. The driver arrived to pick up my car, completed the inspection, and I asked if they needed any additional information from me before hauling it off. They said no. less than an hour after hauling my car away, the driver texted me requesting payment even though my contract stated cash upon delivery. I contacted the broker to clarify, and he was able to speak to the driver to confirm cash upon delivery. he then told me there was "one more piece of paperwork" that needed to be done in order to clear DoT. I agreed since it was described as paperwork, and believed that I just needed to sign it. upon logging in, there had been an extra $400 added to the contract, more than trippling the amount originally quoted. The broker explained that these were broker/DoT fees. He said he had "forgotten" to mention them, even though I explicitly asked. He also said "I just assumed you knew because you had shipped a car before". I asked all of the right questions before and this information was purposefully left out. He also told me that I needed to "be logical" as the car was traveling 2800 miles, and kept interrupting and talking over me. My frustration stemmed from the fact that none of the communication about cost was upfront, and all came after my vehicle was gone so that I'd be in between a rock and a hard place and forced to pay. He then offered to "pay out of his own pocket" which seemed to be a very sketchy and scammy promise to make, making me feel even more so like I'd been taken advantage of by a scam service. He promised to "try and help on the back end" implying that he could save money in the long run, and of course, that was an empty promise. It really seems like this company lures you in with a competitive low price just to jack up the price at the end of the day. as I explained, I have no problem paying whatever fees/price necessary to receive the service, but I want the company to be transparent about their fees, not assume that customers know what information they are deliberately leaving out, and provide Reasonable quotes to match what they will actually charge you at the end of the day. One of the most frustrating customer service experiences I have had. Thanks to the driver (completely separate company from the broker) my car did arrive in a reasonable amount of time with no damages. Late last year, I received a quote to ship a 1979 Ford F 250 from Phoenix Az to Ma. I was quoted $800.00. When, truck was ready to ship I spoke with "Henry", he indicated I needed to pay $300.00 that evening to secure the price, I did so and signed the contract. The very next day he said he could not honor the price because the payment was not received, I sent him a receipt for the payment and contacted my bank, they relayed the recipient delayed the receipt of the funds. In spite of this he indicated he could not honor the original quote. I even went as far as to ask to cancel the shipment, I was told I'd have to pay a $200.00 cancellation fee. I asked to speak with a manager and spoke with "Alex" he seemed helpful and assured me the quote would be honored if I could wait a couple of weeks, I said I'm in no rush and could wait. At the agreed upon date I called and asked to speak with Alex, he apparently was not available, and I ended up speaking now with "Edward". I relayed the details and he indicated it was not possible to honor the price. I became angry and was turned over to "Russell". Russell explained the $800.00 quote could not be honored. I weighed my options and the fact I'd be losing $200.00 and very reluctantly accepted a revised price of $1600.00 with a verbal promise of a $100.00 credit. The next day Russell called me to report the truck was "overweight" I then paid an additional $600.00, again with a verbal agreement for a $300.00 credit. On November 20th I picked up the truck and paid the transport company an additional $1000.00 as directed by US Pro Logistics, this brought my total expense from a quoted $800.00 to $2100.00, with a promise of $400.00 credited to my account. After truck delivery I tried to reach Russell, in regard to the promised credits, he apparently, was no longer available and I ended up dealing with with a Larry and then an Edward with no success. As a last resort I reported the issue to NC Atty General's office, but they only suggested going to Small Claims court. (During this time I was contacted by Edward who offered a $200.00 credit, I relayed to him I received a professional promise of $400.00 from Russell and that was what I expected).
