I'm back in NJ, and as a girlie with locs, I needed to find a new place to get my hair retwisted…read more After searching around on Google, I came across Cotiye's Cocoon. I looked them up on IG and they seem to do good work. After looking at the website, I saw they had a summer special for the month of July for a retwist and two-strand twist style for less than $100! Sign me up! I booked my appointment with Zariah online. When I arrived, I parked on the street. At the time of my visit, parking was pretty easy to find. Upon entering the salon, I was greeted by the owner, Comfort. Shortly after, Zariah came out to get me started. I hung up my stuff and got setup at a sink. She washed my hair and took me to her chair to begin styling my hair. My hair came out really nice! When I booked my appointment, the time slot was from 11 am to 2 pm. I thought, "there's no way it will take that long." It did. It took every bit of those three hours and maybe a little more. I think that would be my only complaint. I'm used to being in and out of the salon in two hours. However, I really liked the service I received. Everyone was nice and made me feel comfortable. I was pleased with how my hair came out, so I would return.

It's clear they care about their clients, and I've had many great experiences here over the years. The only thing I wish was a bit more consistent is the eyebrow threading experience. Others, unfortunately, just do the basics and hand you a tissue to wipe away the leftover hairs.
