However, what truly determines whether I'd return to a place is its cleanliness, and unfortunately, this is where the site fell short. The bathrooms were dirty and felt neglected something that should really be addressed on a daily basis. Additionally, the laundry area was moldy, unkept, and with only one working dryer for the entire park, it made doing laundry a challenge. Overall, it's okay for a short stay, but I wouldn't return unless the cleanliness standards were raised.

About site 523: I clearly had one of the largest and most private tent sites. It was set back with a long driveway tucked between 522 and 524. It's a very steep drop into the river making most sites a little nerve wracking with a little one. Online it said water available but there wasn't a hookup on my site. It looked like there may have been one to share on the road, but I didn't end up needing to figure that out. Tent sites 522 and 524: Along with most of the tent sites these sites were very close to each other, much smaller and closer to the road. I wished my family members had gotten 552 and 553 as they blended together nicely if you are tenting in side by side spaces. The ground was very rocky making staking tents down difficult. They were right next to the bathroom which was convenient but loud. Ventilation in the bathroom was not good so the doors were propped open much of the time and loud hand dryers. Shower: - This is the smaller of the two bathrooms in the campground. There are 2 showers there. Each with a single insufficient curtain and no hooks on the wall or bench to place things down. Water was hot enough, pressure was ok if you set it to the high power massage-like setting. - The showers in other bathroom (near the town center area) had a door and two curtains. Some had hooks (some of which were broken). I almost tripped going in and out of these bathroom stalls because they are raised up but there is no marking on the ground to indicate that. Cabin 2: Ac worked well. There was a good sized bed downstairs, smaller beds in two lofts. I was surprised the couch didn't pull out. Fridge and all dishes were nice and clean. All the cabins seem to have different back porch setups. This porch was smaller than C1. There was a propane grill that smelled rancid with sooo much caked on The burners. The location of the ceiling fan under the other lights in the ceiling gave them a flashing effect that really bothered me. Pros: - Lower price compared to other campgrounds (but I don't feel like I got everything advertised on the website) - Two playgrounds, both were nice. - Water slide was fun - We arrived Thursday at the gate and were told how to get to our site, to set up and then come over to the office which was nice. Cons: - The river is very low and yucky so none of the boating or fishing advertised was possible. likely causing the massive amount of mosquitos. - The whole arcade building was was "out of order" - The laundry room had two washers (one was broken) and two dryers 2.50 each per load. Not sufficient for a campground this size (especially when people leave their clothes in the machine for 30 mins after they're done!) - Camp store was poorly stocked (multiple empty coolers). - Ice $3 per SMALL bag. - Wood $10 per bundle and rules say you can't bring from off-site. I saw people with huge metal bins of wood but was never offered that option when I payed for multiple bundles. - Camp store closes at 3 on Sunday and doesn't open until 11 am during the week (which is also checkout). This made it a little confusing when I wanted to return the golf cart. They have a small area with icecream that is scooped and maybe a kitchen. I never saw it open but I think the sign said open morning to 12 and then again in the evening. - The pool was green and cloudy on day 3. I called the office and was told they had just shocked it and that was a result of the copper. I am not informed enough on pool safety so I opted out of swimming on the hottest day of our stay. My son was bummed. - Planned activities were only scheduled for Friday and Saturday evening. CORRECTION: activities were scheduled starting at 10 AM Saturday. During adult kareoke there were plenty of kids and really poor wifi (wasting so much time between songs). And just to add: - Staff I encountered was friendly enough, but It would be nice if they wore shirts to identify themselves. - Golf cart was great, but cost more than the site per night. - Pedal go-carts were available for rent (I didn't ask a price).

They offered a lot of amenities and activities as well as large, semi-private sites. Our site was level and had a picnic table, a fire pit, electric and water. We also felt like we had no neighbors as there was plenty of green space between our campsite and the next. We had no issues with mud at all. We had NO issues at all. This campsite offers laundry, men's and women's bath houses, a general store, gem hunting for the kids, bouncy houses, a swimming pool with a waterslide, kayaks and much much more. The staff was super friendly and helpful! We had a great time here. It was quiet for the most part and we stayed over Labor Day weekend. Definitely will be back went in the area!

They added this awesome slide to the pool. The pool is nice and clean but the bottom is peeling. They also have some inflatable jumpy houses and a playground with this huge jumpy thing. I did go in the public bathroom and looked at the showers. It all looked clean. We stayed in a cabin. C1 to be exact. I could've picked between C1 and C2. After seeing both we wish we picked C2. It was a lot newer but a different layout. You can tell there was a newer air conditioner also. They are adding a bunch more that are still under construction. C1 wasn't the worst but I wouldn't stay in it again. The negatives of the cabin. When we arrived the cabin was so hot and the air conditioner was weak and dirty. They really need to replace it. It took an entire day for the cabin to cool down. There's really no windows to open up and you can't leave the sliding door open because there's no screen and bugs get in. There was a TV but didn't really work. Also the cabin was pretty dirty. It needs a major cleaning. There was still coffee grounds left in the coffee pot so we didn't even touch it. My kids feet would get so black from walking around barefoot. I cleaned the floor and the cloth was black. Positives of the cabin. You can fit 8 comfortably. There was a queen bed in its own room. A queen in the loft. The loft was small. You can't stand up or anything. A bunk bed and a pull out couch. You have to bring your own linen. It has a full kitchen and bathroom. There was a picnic table and also a fire pit. It comes with a gas grill that worked great. Plus what a view by the water! To sum it up I gave it a 3 because it's a nice place but the cabin needs some work. I won't book cabin C1 again. If you have kids this is a great place. They have events pretty much every weekend. It's quiet with lots to do and the staff were very nice. Also close to Salisbury and Hampton Beach which are great places to visit. I will definitely be returning next summer!

Went to this campground as a kid growing up with my family every summer until around age 10, but we…read morestopped going because we moved away from the area. I recently was back in town and decided to have a nostalgic stay at the campground. I called the office about a week and a half before I planned on visiting and they only had one site (#21) left. I told the manager Jack, that I'd take it! Initially only planning on visiting Tues thru Thurs, they require 4 nights minimum stay in the summer, with the reservation starting on a Sunday. So I reserved Sun thru Thurs, which was the only way to guarantee the site. My other option was to call that day I planned on arriving and hoping/praying the site was still available. It turned out better this way because I just started my vaca two days earlier. Only way to make a reservation is to call during office hours, 9am to 6pm. Both the check-in and check-out time is at 11am. The campground itself isn't that big, and I would guess there's no more than 10 sites available for weekly rentals, as it's mostly seasonal trailers/campers that occupy the remainder of the sites the whole season the campground is open. They open for the season around May 15th, and close for winter around Oct 15th. Site #21 is nestled between two permanent trailer sites, and sits low on the terrain. This means it will flood a little when it rains, but seems to dry out pretty quickly once the rain stops. It is fairly shaded by the pine trees, so it's was nice & cool during our stay. There is one main bathhouse with a men's bathroom (showers inside), a women's bathroom, and a separate women's shower room. There are also two individual bathrooms located behind the office. The showers are $.25 for 5 minutes of shower time. It's just enough time for a quick shower, but bring a 2nd quarter if you think you need a bit more time. The water is hot, which is nice as I'm used to showering w/ warm to cool water at most campgrounds, and they've added curtains to create a changing area outside each shower (new addition from when I was a kid). If camping in a tent, bring an air mattress or padding to sleep on as the ground is hard, and rocky. Every site has your standard fire ring & picnic table. If you need water for cooking, head up to the bathhouse and use the stainless steel sink outside next to the ladies room. This is also a good place to wash your dishes. Pricing is $35 per site per day for 2 ppl and one vehicle. Additional adults are an extra $10/day, kids (ages 5-17) are an extra $5/day, and parking for extra vehicles is also an extra $5/day. Cash or check only. No pets allowed. Ice sold in the office is cheaper & the bag is bigger than the ones sold up the street at the Shore Road Market (red building at fork in road). The office also sells firewood, and some individual canned soda, bottled water, candy bars & ice cream bars. Be advised there are lots of skunks (which hasn't changed since my childhood). They won't bother you, but be aware at dusk/night where you're walking and make sure to toss your trash in the dumpster each day to help avoid an overnight visit. This campground is located right along the ocean and a river. The main beach area is pretty small at high tide, but becomes a nice big area at low tide. Just bring water shoes because the ground is rocky & covered in shells/crabs at low tide. The tide also changes quick so make sure to keep an eye on your belongings when it's coming in, to make sure they don't get swept out. There's also a smaller beach closer to the bridge, and is accessible via the road just next to the office. People still jump off the bridge at high tide, which they've been doing since I was a kid. If you head towards the ocean side of the campground, where the road loops, there's another pathway that leads to the rocks overlooking the ocean & Nubble Light lighthouse. Just watch your step cause the rocks can get slippery at low tide! Also, make sure to stay off other people's sites. If you don't, they'll be sure to let you know it's 'private property'. A great little campground to stay at, with beautiful ocean views! Would def recommend!

Late review from July 2022…read more Came here for a glamping trip for a bachelorette. I shared a cabin with another friend and the accommodations were really nice. This was my first time every doing any sort of camping so this was a nice first-time experience. The cabin came with a window ac, a small coffee table and I think a mini fridge. Outside of the cabin had a cooler/igloo and chairs to sit on. One of the other girls said they were on the camping ground in the same area and said the mosquitos were really bad but thankfully that wasn't the case during our trip. There's a small convenience store near the entrance which we walked to and get our steps in. Our cabin was right across from a bathroom facility which was nice. Only downside is that the bathroom floor was always wet.

The owners, Shelly and Alli (hence the name), are sisters who have owned the campsite for over 50 years! I only Met Shelly, but she was so friendly. They have a game room complete with ping pong, pool, and a few video games. The campground is only a ten minute drive to Jennes Beach...and there is a grocery store just down the road. The only reason I can't give 5 stars is because the Ms. Pac Man machine wouldn't take my quarter. :)

We have a nice site in a good location. Everyone from the owners down to the weekend camper are very friendly and everyone is helpful. They have been deal with COVID-19 well and have been in constant contact with us with updates etc. All the utilities are good and they continually keep things in good working order. We definitely made the right choice and hope to be here many years.

However, prior to quiet hours we were approached by staff stating we were too rowdy and that we were acting "stupid". We have been to several campgrounds over the years and have never been spoken to about being quiet prior to quiet time nor have we ever been insulted and called stupid. The staff could have certainly approached us differently instead of ridiculing us. Two sites down there were people who were louder than we were who did not get spoken to. Not sure why we were targeted. Unfortunately we will not return.
