We have been coming here for a number of years. After spending most of the season here last year we decided to go seasonal this year and it was a good decision. We have a nice site in a good location. Everyone from the owners down to the weekend camper are very friendly and everyone is helpful. They have been deal with COVID-19 well and have been in constant contact with us with updates etc. All the utilities are good and they continually keep things in good working order. We definitely made the right choice and hope to be here many years. read more

Old Stage Campground - Campgrounds Near Me - Madbury, New Hampshire

We had only come to this campground once for the weekend to visit seasonal friends. We will not return. The arts and crafts activities for the kids were a nice touch. However, prior to quiet hours we were approached by staff stating we were too rowdy and that we were acting "stupid". We have been to several campgrounds over the years and have never been spoken to about being quiet prior to quiet time nor have we ever been insulted and called stupid. The staff could have certainly approached us differently instead of ridiculing us. Two sites down there were people who were louder than we were who did not get spoken to. Not sure why we were targeted. Unfortunately we will not return. read more

I just don't understand the one star review I see posted on Old Stage. The owners are the nicest,most obliging hosts I've ever seen in any of the places I have been. Never had water pressure problems or electrical issues. People have to realize it's a campground and that they're not at home. You can't run air conditioners and appliances at the same time! They have a no refund policy like every other campground. I don't know the specifics of this bad review but if you only let them know of issues as you're leaving to go home or elsewhere what do you expect? Karen and David are the best! Terrible electrical, water pressure was terrible, owner was very rude and hung up on me when calling to complain. We booked a week here on cross country trip. Place has a ok look but just about every RV looks like they live there. The spot was un level and even my hydraulic jacks where not enough to level me. The electrical was very weak and even running one AC was a struggle. The water pressure was all over the place. So we decided to move on after a few nights. BEWARE they offer no refunds. The owner was very rude and told me if she kicked us out she would refund us but not for the issues we had even hung up the phone on me!!! We were there as seasonal for 2 seasons. We stayed there as transit prior and the owners were very nice at that time. First season was okay except for 4th of July weekend. We had our kids and grandkids visiting. There was a transit site that had rowdy people that were doing burnouts on the road in front of our site near our grandkids. My husband went to the store and complained to Karen and nothing was done about it . They did not care about the safety of our grandkids at all which was disgusting. Our last season there was beyond horrible. The whole time we were there we dealt with sewage smells and while we mentioned this to the owners- they did not care. Water pressure was terrible and again when mentioning it to the the owners adult son who also works for the campground - he said "what do you want me to do" . Also we were told before we became seasonal that their WiFi would improve- since there is NO WiFi unless you are directly in front of the store. The WiFi never even improved at all. The owners and their "cult" group treated my family and visitors with total disrespect and downright rudeness. They made up lies about us and tried to spread them around , however, we made some friends there and they all knew the truth . After they started spreading lies about our family, they were harassing us by continuously staring us down and making it uncomfortable for us to participate in any of the planned events that we paid for when we paid our seasonal site fees. The owners and workers also sat in the site next to one of our seasonal sites and tried to intimidate us every night that we spent there until our very last night trying to make it so uncomfortable for us to even sit and have a campfire with our family and friends . One of their workers- a family member, walked around the campground yelling at people and calling them stupid after he had been drinking at one of his buddy's seasonal sites. We have been transients at OSC for at least 2 seasons now and are excited to be seasonals this year. We are looking forward to setting up our site and spending a lot of time there this summer. The owners are awesome and take great care of the campground and their guests. We enjoy the beautifully kept pool, going for walks and quiet nights by the campfire. Our grandson has so much fun on the playground and looking for frogs, riding his bike around, playing basketball and just being outside. The dances are fun and they have movies outside on the basketball court which is nice. It's a great way to meet people and get to know your neighbors. Theres bocci, horseshoe and a few more courts that are kept well and available for all guests to use. They also have arts and crafts and bingo. Most of the campers seem to take part in many of the activities offered there. We have met alot of wonderful families and made some great friends. The owners do a great job with the store, it is usually pretty well stocked with food, snacks, candy, toys, camp nessecties, clothing and souvenirs. If they don't have something you need they will let you know where you can find it close by. There are grocery stores and other stores close by as well as a small town with gift shops and deli. There are a few restaurants nearby as well. I recommed Old Stage Campground to any families that are looking for fun, affordable, low key, relaxing, family orientated and no stress getaways. If I could give this campground 0 stars I would. We went seasonal there for 2 years and towards the end of the second year it took a nasty turn. We were sitting around our campfire just taking and laughing like normal happy people and a "security staff" member was sitting at the site next door drinking alcohol and decided to come up and tell us we were acting STUPID and we needed to quiet down. Well fast forward to the next week the owner sat us down like children and told us she would give us the deposit and contract back and then we decided we would have a sit down with the security staff and owners to squash everything and that never happened. Every weekend after that the owner decided to sit at our "wonderful" neighbors site(see review by Don M) and try to intimidate us and get us to leave sooner than the end of the season but it didn't work so I wish them the best of luck with their CULT :) read more

We have tried different campgrounds but this is our favorite. Its like home away from home. The owners are very nice and very helpful as well as their son. Any issues that ever arised with our camper, they were always there to lend a hand. The staff is great, campground is clean and seasonals are very friendly. We just put our camper at old stage this season. This campground brings back the old school feeling of camping. It is family owned and they are wonderful. They all work extremely hard to keep everyone happy, including having activities nearly everyday for families. The campground is very clean and mostly wooded. A lot of the sites are larger sites and provide privacy between campers. Highly recommend old stage read more

We stayed here the weekend after Labor Day 2014. I generally don't expect much after Labor Day. However we were very happy a here. The staff escorted us to our site and welcomed us. The site was clean. Staff is extremely nice and bathrooms are new. Large showers. Pool is great for families as it has three depth sections. And was still open. Store was well stocked and well priced. It is a nice little place. read more

Hands down one of the best campgrounds i've stayed at, nicest owners and the cabin three other friends and I rented for two nights was very reasonably priced, clean and had everything you could need. Clean pool, cute office store with a variety of toys/candy for younger children and other helpful things such as eggs, bread and fire starters. Would highly recommend if you're looking for a nice weekend getaway with your kids as there is plenty of things the campground has planned Friday-Sunday such as bingo and dances. Or if you're a seasonal camper looking for a nice clean quiet campground. read more

Old Stage Campground is a great place to spend your summers! Great people, helpful and friendly staff. Tons of activities for children and adults. Fun themed weekends with great creative things to do for each theme. The seasonal campers seem super nice and welcoming The camp store is always stocked with everything you could need while there. We stayed at Old Stage over Labor Day this year. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They escorted us to our site and helped us back in our 35 foot Fifth wheel. When it was time to leave, they helped us to leave as well and lifted some low hanging wires so the camper would clear them. The site was spacious and private. We had 4 motorcycles, one truck and the fifth wheel with lots of space left over. Management provides lots of organized activities. A lot of the sites were seasonal, but everyone was friendly. read more

July 2012-If you like barking dogs, noisy children, loud, rude adults and neighboring (seasonal) campers urinating outside, this is the place for you. Old Stage is mostly Seasonal campers. So, the few of us that are vacationing campers are disappointed to experience anything but a relaxing camping experience. Sorry, but we'll never go there again and will share our experience with our friends. On a good note, the staff is extremely helpful in helping us back our trailer into our site. read more

Such a great family campground. Lots of activities and fun. Loved the DJ dance at the basketball court on Saturday night. The seasonals were very welcoming and easy to get along with. Even included and showed us how to play shuffle board. My kids had a blast at arts and crafts and enjoyed washer tosser. My son even won a t-shirt. Made his whole night! Our site was very clean and so were the bathrooms. We can't wait to go back. read more

I hate to write a bad review.. But some things were just unexptable. Basicallly friendly people. But mostly seasonal, I didn't find them rude But partying til 3 am friday night and well after 1:30 am saturday night (Loud) they all seemed to gravitate to the site next to us. we were asked by the occupant that if they became to loud to approach them about it instead of calling the office this made it quite aquard for me and camping with 2 small children. People walking their dogs next to our vehicle to releave themselfs. Not only once but several times. our site wasn't cleaned Befor we arrived. Cigarrette butt allover it (and I'm a smoker) and the train running and blowwing it's horn at all hours..( not the camps fault, But a real turn off) there appears to only be 2 BRs and the closed is near the office. but it was clean Just hard with small children. the sites are fairly close togeather with little privacy. the pool was actually VERY nice. it has 3 levels which was great for the age children I had with me and teens too. they did have alot of activities for all ages on saturday which was nice. I found the staff to be very friendly too. read more
