But once you get the hang of it, not too bad. The other thing to note is the homeless population in the area. There are a lot. We were on a business trip and walked to a few places without being hassled, but you are going to see them. Just a fair warning, because again, we never had a problem. Other than that, the rooms are nice, with everything you would need if you were there for a long stay, including a kitchen with a full fridge and dishwasher. The bar has some good that was ok, nothing great and the service is slow. The only thing that was exceptional was the free breakfast, lots of options, including more of a dinner option like tikki masala or taco stuffs. A nice surprise and comfort!

Since it was the weekend, the rate was reasonable. At check-in, we were given free water bottles and our room was on the 9th floor. One of the elevators was out of order but the waits weren't long. I didn't know there was a restaurant so that was convenient for our dinner. That evening, we noticed that the bedsheet was coming off the bed and we tried to get it back on the corners but with no luck. The heater was blasting cold air. With these issues, we had someone come up. He explained the temperature control was missing a setting that would turn off the fan. He tried to put the bedding on but wasn't able to and said it was due to bedsheets shrinking in the wash. Should that get larger bedsheets to fit over the mattress? They moved us to another room which was better as the bedsheets didn't reveal the mattress. There was a sofa which was better for one person to watch TV. From the bed, the TV had to be turned and the position wasn't ideal for all viewpoints. We had a large fridge, stove top, cups, plates, and cutlery. The shower was nice but to turn it on, you would get splashed by the water so you may get a blast of cold water. Our room was above the train so if you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs. The gym was nice but two of the ellipticals' displays didn't work. The pool and hot tub also looked nice but the water in the hot tub wasn't very hot and just one jet that was powerful and the rest didn't seem to work. I also saw a large bug on the pool deck but luckily it did not join me in the hot tub. The hotel restaurant was ok. It was busy for one server so the service wasn't excellent. They have happy hour specials so we did get a discount off of our drinks. The location was convenient to walk to the Saddledome and there's a Superstore a block away.

Staff was attentive and the catered food from the kitchen was delicious. Lobby had plenty of seating but could get cold if the doors were left open for a long time. Room was spacious with comfortable linens and they got nice balcony (too cold to go outside in January). My bathroom even had a built-in TV in the mirror. First time seeing this in hotels! It's also walkable to downtown for food or being dropped off by taxi/Uber from the airport.

I'm obsessed with their invigor - mint shampoo and body wash by Skoah (a discontinued line but only available at partnered hotels). They also have free self parking lots underground and above ground surface lots. They are located close by Calgary Tower and are near plenty of restaurants and bars around the downtown area. H mart is only about 2 blocks over if you want Asian groceries. I also just read that they give complimentary bikes rentals on their website, which is amazing! The only con was that you have to reserve pool time and it's a $10 fee per person if you don't show up. It's a small pool and is just under 5 feet. They reserve a seating area for you, which is very nice but made it difficult to plan your day especially having 2 kids under 3yo.

I stayed here with my significant other and we loved the hotel. It was perfect walking distance to everything and we were able to park the car for an entire week and not even use it. The pool is superb as it actually isn't busy and we had the pool to ourselves almost every day at some point. There is a hot tub with the best jets a small cold pool and a sauna. I loved the views of Calgary tower from the hot tub. Overall service was impeccable and the location really can't be beat in calgary. So many food options surround the place. And so many activities to explore too. I felt relatively safe as well when my partner was on business and I wandered around alone. Highly recommended for couples business trips and even solo traveller's

We were told that our reservation had been canceled because our name was not on the final list for the tour. What happened next was far beyond simple service. Rolanie took our tour information, confirmed that we should have a room and went to work assigning us one. She was pleasant and helpful and assured us that the mixup would be corrected. Once we had a room, Rodrico checked that our bags would be picked up in the morning and he determined that the tour company was planning to drop my 80 year old brother-in-law at a different hotel than us. Rodrico got on the phone and made sure that we would all be at the same hotel in Banff. He then made several calls for us to make sure that the Tour company hadn't made any other mistakes. All through the confusing process, Rolanie and Rodrico assured us that we were in good hands and we felt that everything would be straightened out because of them. I don't know what we would have done if they hadn't gone above and beyond normal procedures and helped us. They are the kind of employees that make Delta Downtown Calgary hotel a superior place to stay.

Clean lobby area, just wish that they had a coffee/water station for guests. They have an attached restaurant for dining and a la carte room service. Parking is valet for $45 CAD a night but you can go and in out as much as you need throughout the day. Paid parking everywhere in downtown. We had an issue with the pull out bed and house keeping took care of it right away and was very apologetic the next day. The housekeeping staff are so nice and friendly. They have a nice pool and fitness area on the 2nd floor with a hot tub and a water slide. TV doesn't have very good selections for watching shows. The price for a night is ok and a little pricey for not much amenities like breakfast and parking.

We splurged a little to get a club level corner executive since we were celebrating, but honestly it's so worth it for club access and the views. And if you consider what you'd spend on breakfast each day, it pretty much breaks even. Also the club had evening snacks too but it's such a huge spread with hot food - you could totally make a dinner out of it haha! They change up the items at each meal each day. And they have an awesome coffee machine that does all sorts of different coffees like lattes, mochas, cappuccinos and more. Everything is fresh and delicious. We had a 1-bedroom corner executive suite and it was amazing! The king bed was SO comfortable. We had gorgeous views of downtown from one side and lovely Prince's Island park from the other side. The room has a separate living room with wet bar, Keurig, fridge and microwave. The fridge is stocked with drinks and snacks for a charge. The bathroom is enormous and has an entrance from the living room AND the bedroom. It has a giant soaking bathtub and a separate small shower with excellent water pressure. They provide very nice toiletries as well. The location is also excellent- the Eau Claire area of Calgary is really nice and the whole of Calgary is so walkable. The hotel is right by the Bow River walk, Chinatown, and Prince's Island - so many walking trails and things to see and do. And their pool is just beautiful- lots of domed glass ceilings to take advantage of the downtown views. And they have a WATERSLIDE!!! There are no rules saying adults can't use it so you better believe I went down it haha! It's huge and it's fast and SO FUN!! Afterwards, be sure to relax in the hot tub bc the views are just phenomenal. We didn't have a car this trip so I'm not sure about the parking situation- I think they have valet. The lobby has a restaurant and hair salon. There are so many restaurants right out the door that we didn't eat in the hotel restaurant so I can't speak to it but it looked really nice. Every staff member we interacted with was incredibly kind and happy and helpful -they even had a beautiful plate of desserts and nice card waiting for us when we checked in to say Happy Anniversary! I just can't say enough good things about our stay. I highly recommend!!
