There is not a second of down time but it doesn't feel chaotic or overwhelming. For example, I got my license updated, and it took me 8 minutes from when I walked in the door to when I was done. They get to everyone in a timely manner and get them what they need or clearly tell you what documents you're missing and request you come back with the information once you have it. On a previous visit, they even told me about a form I had no idea about that saved me a great deal. 100% recommend going to this agency!

i went to the tag agency a few weeks ago to request a new driver license after i'd lost the…read moreprevious license, which surprisingly still has not surfaced. i'd entered at around 2pm, and was told the next available appointment was at 4pm, if i've remembered correct, so i'd gone to lunch before the appointment, and returned about thirty minutes prior. luckily, the worker in the office at the back of the business, in charge of driver licenses, called me about 15 minutes before the tentative appointment time. she also gathered the information and took the picture efficiently, with a friendly demeanor. though i'd not asked her name, she was wearing a stylish black eskimo joe sweater with purple and teal print, and explained to me that the sweater is given to workers at the tag agency when i'd asked if she has been to the now closed eskimo joe offshoot italian restaurant, joeseppi. no pun intended with offshoot pun and osu stillwater mascot. then, while i'm not certain that the worker gave me an expected time of arrival for the driver license, she did notify me that the license would arrive via mail, rather than the expectation with which i'd entered the tag agency of receiving the license there on the same day. that said, the license arrived the most recent saturday, and while the arrival was a little later than i'd expected, the difference between expectation and result was rather harmless. service requested - new driver license, not yet expired quality - service and license quality were excellent value - $25 and tax was relatively reasonable, though prorated price depending on date of expiration for license not expired seems appropriate, though it may have been already

For example, I had a prepaid return I printed and had everything boxed up. They were trying to charge me to tape it on the box but they have sleeves that the return label can fit in and sticks to box. Instead he tells me he won't take ten like that and I need to pay to have them use 1, maybe 2 little pieces of tape. I had my own, but they are so rude how they address you, especially if you look under 30. Just rude, bad employees with horrible rules and procedures. FED-Ex is so much more easier and a pleasure to work with. I hate it when I have yo go to any UPS. They are ALL like this especially around Tulsa SMH

I visited Barnes Tag Agency to handle an out of state title and registration transfer along with…read moregetting a Real ID. I had checked online beforehand to make sure I had all the paperwork, which made the process smooth once I reached the window. They don't use a ticket system, so you simply get in line and wait for an open window. There were three people ahead of me and all three windows were already helping customers, so my wait was about thirty minutes. While the line moved steadily, I couldn't help noticing an elderly man and another customer who seemed to have back issues. A number system or electronic sign in would make the experience more comfortable for customers who have difficulty standing as they could grab a number and have a seat to wait to be called. Once I reached the counter, the vehicle registration and title transfer were quick and easy thanks to having everything prepared. I got the plate same day which was nice. The title will arrive in mail, or I could have chosen the electronic version. After that, I went to the next room over for the Real ID. There was a sign in tablet, but no one else waiting, so I was seen immediately. Even so, it would be much more convenient if both services could be handled at the same window instead of having to start a second process. Unfortunately, I learned that my birth certificate still has my maiden name, and because I never changed my name back after my divorce in 2004, my current last name didn't match. They required a marriage certificate, and I was surprised they wouldn't accept my Social Security card since it shows my current name. I asked about using mail or other documents, but those weren't accepted and was advised they need a marriage certificate. I left without a Real ID and will need to return once I get either a copy of the marriage certificate or my divorce decree, which the website says is acceptable but wasn't mentioned during my visit. It's frustrating, but ultimately not their fault that I missed that requirement. Despite the hiccup, the staff were friendly, patient, and genuinely helpful. I watched one employee wait while a customer ran out to his vehicle for paperwork, and she even waited while he called his insurance company to have an authorization letter faxed over. Many places would have asked him to step aside, but she made sure he was taken care of. Overall, Barnes Tag Agency offers kind service, efficient processing when you have your documents ready, and staff who go out of their way to help customers. With a few updates to the waiting system, it would be an even better experience.
