Would give negative stars to both Executive Appliance Services *and* Viking Professional appliances if I could. We moved into a house in San Diego last September with 5 year old Viking Professional appliances. The oven on the range did not work at all. Technician came out. Spent less than 5 minutes. Decided it couldn't be fixed without ordering an expensive part. That part took months to come in. He came out, installed expensive part. Didn't fix the problem. Ordered another expensive part. More than 4 months later, oven is working but range top gas on a couple burners unusable (more than a thousand dollars later). Did we get a refund for the expensive part that wasn't needed (I think that part was $600?). No, no we did not. A complete scam. Even worse, our Viking Professional fridge has been freezing our food for more than 6 months. It took 6 months to get in the parts. Technician is here now. After all that, they ordered the wrong part for the fridge. So now we will likely have to wait another 6 months to get it fixed. Their incompetence is unreal. It would have taken the technician who ordered the part less than 5 minutes to pull the part out of the fridge and get the part number, so that he could make sure he ordered the correct one. But nope. I am beyond disgusted. It is not like these are cheap appliances. Viking referred me to Executive Appliances for the repair. I will never buy Viking appliances again. And I cannot with good conscience recommend Executive Appliance Services. These folks are unprofessional, incompetent, and too slow for words (albeit Viking is a good chunk of the problem there). They came out several times attempting to repair my brand new Viking refrigerator. On two occasions, they failed to show up for the appointment altogether, without notifying me in advance. I waited all day. After replacing multiple parts over 5 different visits, they were still unable to repair my refrigerator, and were clearly unfamiliar with the newer technology. It seemed clear to me they were simply milking Viking, having no idea what actually needed to be done. Viking confirmed that even though they were unable to repair the unit, they had to pay them for each visit. Eventually, after approximately nine months, we used a different company and they were able to resolve the problem. read more

Executive Appliance has saved my butt especially on my refrigerator over the years. They're super HONEST, efficient, fast and pleasant. Ryan is my favorite service guy. I call them the other day because one of my burner control knobs broke and I needed a replacement. Know anybody that has high-end appliances knows how much it costs to repair these appliances, right? I'm not saying that they have low rates but they have very fair rates for the type of service they perform. A technician arrived Friday, December 19. We had told the company that my Viking double ovens didn't seem to be getting to the correct temperature, and taking a long time to get near the appropriate temperature. The tech said your ovens aren't warming up correctly? We said correct. He took pictures inside the oven of the serial/model number and he left!!!! He wasn't in our house 5 minutes. He NEVER TURNED ON THE OVEN to test it. He said the office would call us with the price of new thermostats. The more I thought about it, I figured this made no sense. How can you troubleshoot an appliance if you don't turn it on, or take it apart, or something? So I called the office back and told them this. I told them that it seemed that I troubleshooted my own appliance, and why should I pay them a fee? Zach agreed with me and said the tech should have turned on the oven. He asked me to turn them both on to 350. I did. The tech came back at Zach's request. He used his thermostat in the oven to test the temperature. Eventually it got to 350. He called tech support. He said that they said it takes 30+ minutes to heat up a Viking oven (?!?!?!), and 45 minutes if you heat them both up at the same time!!!!! If true, that is absolutely ludicrous, that the gas should be going that long to get to 350! My Bosch never took that long. NEVER. Be that as it may, he then said we DID NOT need the new thermostats which he had previously said--without testing--that we needed. So, if I hadn't called, we'd be buying thermostats we didn't need. Additionally, I texted Zach to let him know the outcome. This was around 1 pm Friday. Still haven't heard from him. Lastly, Zach said we won't charge you for the visit (duh!) and the tech will give you your check back. The tech finished testing the temperature of both ovens, packed up and started leaving. I said where's our check? Zach said you'd give it back. The tech acted uninformed of this and went out to get it from his truck. I will NEVER use these people, and how in the HECK did they get Viking to recommend them on the Viking website is a mystery to me. read more

Disappointed. Two years ago, a technician came out to fix my "defrost terminator," and thankfully, it was still under warranty for our Viking fridge/freezer. But here we are, barely two years later, and the SAME thing needed to be replaced/fixed for a fee of $448! Just two years! I called to ask them why their work only lasts two years, and that I can't afford to pay this every other year. Felicia was not helpful, only passing the buck to tell me that they only have warranties on their parts for 1 yr, and their labor for 30 days. (Interesting to know that they only have confidence in their work for 30 days, and their equipment for 1 yr). She then told me to take it up with Viking themselves for their parts. I'm not giving the lowest rating because I think David, the second technician, did his job well. It's only been a day, but things definitely feel colder in the freezer. Just skeptical about how long it will last for. If it happens again in another couple of years, I might have to try another appliance company for repair. read more

I've used this company before so didn't think twice about calling them when I had a problem with my Viking fridge. They are a little pricey but always have fixed my problems in the past. This time when I called, they promised to send someone out between the hours of 12pm-4pm next day. Great, I thought. But started to worry around 3:45pm when nobody called or showed up. So I had to call EAS who had to send a message to the technician (David Geigle). Only then did the tech bother to let me know he would be an hour late. Given how unprofessional and inconsiderate he proved himself to be, I said no thanks and called another company. read more

I don't usually write reviews, but this company and the technician Gabe Lorenzo were exceptional‼I first got a quote from another company who spent not more than 25 minutes diagnosing my Subzero refrigerator/freezer. He quoted me $4,000 to fix it and said it will probably need more parts but won't know until he puts in a new control board. He wasn't very friendly either. We thought the quote seemed high, so we got a second quote with Gabe at Executive and he said we didn't need a new control board just a new evaporator and a terminator cord. He also used a machine and got all the ice off of our freezer and had it working before he left the first time. We were also very grateful because he said he could order the parts or he would give us the direct number to order our Subzero parts and we would save some money there and that's what we did. It was extremely easy and the parts literally came the next day where as the first guy said we would have to wait a week for parts. So all said and done, our refrigerator and freezer are working beautifully and it ran us $1,575 versus the other company that quoted us around $4,000‼Gabe was so honest, kind and was very good about laying protective coverings on my floor and cleaned up perfectly when he was done. The igniter on the Pro-Sear burner of my 2YO Lynx BBQ grill stopped working. The Pro-sear burner itself looked like it burned in the middle. Lynx recommended to contact Executive Appliances for service. The technician, Joe, came in, turned the knob, didn't hear the click and confirmed the igniter was bad, there were no further investigation. That visit cost me $165. I received an estimate from Executive Appliances with parts identified for replacement: Pro-sear burner, igniter, and the module plus $125 labor. They want payment in cash/check otherwise there is a fee for credit card transaction. I called Lynx and ordered the parts from them. The Pro-sear burner was under warranty, I didn't have to pay $350 assessed by the Executive Appliances and Lynx questioned the need for a module, but I said I wanted to buy it since the technician said I need it. Upon receiving all the parts ($80 for the igniter and the module) my husband and I decided to replace them ourselves, since looking on YouTube it didn't seem that complicated. We spent an hour doing so, completed installation, turned the knob... no clicks!!! Back to the YouTube, recommendation was to replace $8 micro switch that sits on the controller to the igniter. Ordered that part, installed it, success! What would have happened if the technician came back, replaced the parts he said we need and realized they were not the right parts? We didn't need to spend $80, only $8, didn't need to waste time replacing the igniter and module, it was only $8 part and very little work to replace it. NO, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!!! read more

Needless to say, I called this company many times and every time everyone I spoke with was polite and kind and were helpful trying to get the situation resolved. This is the 4th or 5th time dealing with this company in the last 6 years. This is the company Viking sends out to fix my refrigerator every time! The tech's are great it is just getting an appointment and the office staff is just rude! The office staff doesn't not have communication skills what do ever! I called them 10/9/2023 because the refrigerator completely stopped cooling! First available appointment 10/12/2023! Tech said I needed a new sealed system, great it's still under warranty! He said he will get the parts ordered and will be back out the following week on Thursday or Friday. Well 10/20/2023 rolls around I never heard back, I called and spoke to Sherry! We Sherry sent me an email NOT a phone call! She claimed since I didn't reply she never ordered the parts! Then claimed only parts are covered by the warranty. So I had to have Viking call her to tell her it was covered. The whole sealed system is covered so the bill went down from $1509.37 to $309.37. Fine I will pay that for brazing (soldering the sealed system together) and Freon to go into the sealed system. So parts finally got ordered and arrived at my house today 10/25/2023, I called Sherry to let her know, she informed me they can not come out to fix my refrigerator until 10/30! So 3 weeks with no refrigerator and we have 4 kids! Not sure how they are still in business but if this was my company I would be pissed! read more

We have been using Executive Appliance for service for about 10 years. We purchased a home that was a former model with an outdoor kitchen with Viking appliances (beverage refrigerator, ice maker, kegerator, warming drawers and grill) and a kitchen full of beautiful top of the line Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances. When we have any problems, and there have been more than a few since everything sat unused for a few years, EAS comes to our rescue. Ryan educates us on maintenance so we can get better/longer use from our appliances and always tries to offer us the most cost effective solutions. There have been a couple of emergency situations over the years and they came out first thing in the morning to make sure we didn't have "collateral damage" like recently when a big freezer full of tuna went out. I can't say enough about how great they have been and how comfortable we are with their service and advice. I see some negative reviews and can only guess that the same staffing issues and mis-communications that can occur in any business are magnified when the they occur in the kitchen, it's the heart of the household. It would be nice if folks were a little kinder and not assume a mistake, or a service tech under time pressure, is a blatant attempt to rip you off. EAS has been in business for decades and recommended by the manufacturers for a reason, in the balance they know their stuff and they do a great job! read more

If I could give zero stars I would. The team at executive appliance has been unable to repair an appliance I purchased -'d had them working on for over 2 months now. And instead they have only made things worse. Every time I call all I get is the operators and they cannot help. When I try to speak with a supervisor I get voicemails and no call backs. The fact that a company like this is able to stay in business is beyond me. Only reason I am still using them is because the appliance I purchased has to be serviced by them for any warranty issues. This company does NOT have Covid safe practices and I can see why they have all the poor reviews. I do not take righting poor reviews lightly, as I know that many people are struggling now, however, when a company so flagrantly ignores the safety of my family and the community I feel I need to alert others who want to know who they can trust to safely enter their home during this time for repairs. When Executive Appliance called to schedule the repair of my Viking cooktop (4 repairs on the brand NEW cooktop and downdraft in the last 6 months; apparently Viking is not what it used to be), they assured me that the technicians would wear masks, gloves and booties. Great. However, whey they arrived they did not have booties (had to go out to the truck to find some) and did not wear gloves. When I came to check on them after they started work, one of the men had taken off his mask and was walking down the hall yelling out for my husband (really?!) When I asked why he didn't have a mask he ran back to the kitchen to put it on. The other tech was wearing his mask so that it only covered his mouth, not his nose. The two men were extremely rude to me when I asked them to wear their masks (properly) and muttered under their breath something I couldn't hear, but I'm sure wasn't flattering. They also rudely snapped at my husband to sign the paperwork when they were finished. We are a very friendly family and was truly surprised that they were so very angry about having to wear PPE; it not only helps prevent Covid spread- it's the law for all employees! Also important to note they were in my kitchen for over an hour so it was even more important all Covid safety measures were followed. I was hesitant to even bother getting the appliance repaired at this point but have my Marine nephew staying with us and I am constantly cooking as he eats his body weight! To make matters worse, I called Executive Appliance Repair and asked to speak with Zack, the manager. I gave him a day and a half to respond to my voice mail, as I wanted to be fair and speak to him before my review. However, he apparently isn't concerned about this type of behavior in his company and never returned my call. Again, I write this to keep us all safe. If we all can follow a few easy guidelines and simply be friendly and professional while working in someone's home, we'll all get through this much more quickly and safely. What an absolute joke this place is. Our oven went out, luckily it was under warranty and Mode Distributing called on this place to "fix it". They came out and stated that we needed a new circuit board. After a couple weeks went by I called and got the run around, of course no call back. I called again 3 weeks later and again got the same treatment. Given this I called Mode Distributing, who got their butts in gear and magically Executive Appliance comes back. After 2 separate appointments, their installers could not figure out how to "program" the circuit board. Now their guidance is to fix it myself. This is literally what they told me to do, call tech support of my oven and fix it myself, even after they got paid! It was so bad that I took the time to report them to the BBB. read more

Executive Appliance Services (EAS) should given a minus five after our terrible experience....The technician was kind and professional enough, but everyone else at EAS should be fired. We ordered a replacement icemaker for our SubZero refrigerator/freezer. The tech came to our house to diagnose the problem, which cost us an nonrefundable fee of $ 130, which we were told would be applied to the eventual purchase of the replacement unit. To have Executive Appliances order the new unit, they needed to charge our credit card $ 213, which they said would be 50% of the eventual cost of the unit....then we would also owe an additional fee for installation. So, to sum up this ripoff, we were going to be charged $ 425 for parts plus $ 225 for labor...plus $ 15 for "other" charges, plus another $ 33 for taxes.....when we told the model number of our freezer, the office staff said they had the correct ice maker already in stock, and they'd schedule a technician to come install it....so, on the day of the appointment, the technician arrived over two hours late without calling. Upon finally arriving, the technician immediately removed the broken ice maker unit. Then he opened the box he'd brought with him, only to see that it was the wrong unit. He left our house with the wrong unit, saying his office would call the next day to reschedule an installation date of the correct ice maker unit. EAS has yet to call us. We called Executive several times, only to have them tell us they'd have to get back to us. We've submitted a dispute with our credit card company, but we're out the $ 130...good riddance EAS...next step: report this company to the Better Business Bureau. read more

I have been trying to get my stove repaired since May. Every time they send someone out, they tell me they cannot fix it because they either need another part, or they need two people, or they can't figure out what to do, or they order the wrong part, or they cancel, and on and on.... I'm only dealing with them because I have invested money for the multiple parts that they have ordered for me. Today they were supposed to finally come and fix it and they cancelled! They can't reschedule me for another 2 weeks! I am beyond frustrated with them. Also, every time someone comes out, it is a different technician basically starting from scratch. read more
