We could not have been more lucky. I called to make sure there was vegan options for food and also the person that I spoke with made it easy to purchase 4 tickets for my father and stepmother as well as for my friend and I. We arrived early and found parking. There is also easy parking on the pier for a dollar an hour. I booked these tickets about a month in advance. Why I say we were very fortunate is because the weather although cloudy on the way to Molokai cleared up twice while we were in the water. The breakfast was fresh there was croissants small corn muffins and fresh fruit as well as deviled eggs. My parents enjoyed the devil eggs tremendously. The croissants were very fresh tasting. There were plenty of fish to snorkel and see. The crew was spectacular the captain pointed out different formations and shared interesting history 2 and from the island. What made the trip spectacular was the incredible amount of whales we saw. At 1 point the captain cut the engine because whales played around our boat going underneath several times. It was a trip of a lifetime.

I am writing this review while on the boat because instead of going to the crater, they took us to a spot easily accessible from the road with little fish/diversity. Snorkeling off the beach from our hotel has much more fish and diversity than the spot they took us to. Waste of money and more importantly precious vacation time as you might be stuck at an awful spot for 5 hours. The day is not particularly windy either so I suspect it was due to the amount of children on the boat is why they neglected to deliver on going to the crater and instead went somewhere utterly useless.

Cruiser Phil's / Bike Maui / Haleakalā Ecotours has been guiding bike riders down this landmark…read morevolcano for almost as long as its last eruption some 400+ years ago! The ride up is fun with a quick visit to the National Park included to see the crater firsthand, followed by some fun pictures jumping out of the clouds! Ride with Kimo to learn how they get those pictures! The ride itself starts just outside the National Park (limited by newer regulations limiting tour rides in the park itself) to enjoy the switchbacks - a video is included below! Those turns are not difficult - so don't let that part dissuade you from taking the tour. Stop at the town of Makawao for lunch (Freshies had a good menu) and ride like bandits back to the shop as the lag van holds traffic back a bit to clear the roadway for you! The island is open for business, save some small parts around Lahaina itself still recovering from the devastating fires of 2023, with limited impact elsewhere on the island. Take this trip now while the crowds are a bit lighter too, you won't regret it at all as Maui is just beautiful! Ka'anapala just north of Lahaina is hopping!

Eddie did a thorough job of making sure everyone was safe and how to navigate the roads on the bike. While we still highly recommend this activity, there were a few things that fell a bit short. With such an early start, the drive seemed to move slow with a few slow rolling stops to point out deer or a landmark. Sadly, the morning glow started and we had not yet reached the summit. Ultimately we parked and had only a few minutes to use the bathroom and get in place to watch the sunrise then boom back in the van. So that was roughly 2 hours driving in the van for less than 30 minutes at the summit. It was very rushed. It would have been nice to gotten there about 20 minutes sooner to watch the glow start. Dress in layers. There was a quick photo op on the drive down but no stop at the visitors center. The bike ride down. It was convenient to be able to leave a bag in the van with the layers of clothes and jackets no longer needed. We enjoyed the self guided having the chance to stop at our leisure and take photos. It is definitely a braking ride and be smart to use them. The fact that the law prohibits biking through Kula meant we had to stop, load the bikes, get back on the van and jump over the town. That takes a away a significant chunk of the ride. A nice stop in Makawao for coffee and a bite to eat. Having done this ride before the law made for a disappointing comparison. I would recommend this activity, however I'm not likely to do it again until the change the law to ride through Kula and arrive to the summit a few minutes earlier.

Stopped by kiosk location at Whalers Village to book a whale and helicopter trip. I was looking…read moreat the information at the kiosk while employee was helping another customer. I'm was immediately startled by the employee screaming and berating me saying that I could not look at the pamphlets and that they are for customers only! I was totally shocked as I went to this kiosk to book some excursions. This behavior was shocking and disgusting. Hopefully employee deals with their anger management issues. Someone with that demeanor should not be working in a customer service setting.

Mind you i specifically asked if it would automatically charge or if we would have to call! Then Jada was so rude about it (see attachments below). Even my six-year-old ,who I did not know how he was going to do because this was his first tour and being in the car for so long , he did Fantastic.! We also made a special stop and got some delicious treats and picked up lunch for later, which was really good! He also provided us with water, juice, soda, snacks, and a cold towel. Also very accommodating for dietary restrictions like myself who is gluten-free. The booking process was super easy and they confirmed details the evening before your reservation date. I would 100% recommend taking this trip while you are in Maui. It is an experience you will never forget. We started to trip with cinnamon rolls and they provided really great gluten free muffin for me. Then made sure to always provide GF food options for me throughout the day. Snorkeling was fun and accessible because they had prescription masks available, which is a must if you cannot/do not wear contacts and want actually see the ocean life. We had a plenty of time to float and observe the fish. Lunch was delish and they prepared some tasty gluten free noodles JUST for me. On the way back, one of our daughters helped hoist the sail and we were able to catch the wind of a bit. We also had the good fortune of observing a pod of Hawaiian spinner dolphins on the way to and back from Lana'i. Book this trip! It is SO worth it!!!
