The answer was Yes, one can change into swimsuits during lunch before the black sand beach visit and then change out of them at a stop after the waterfall stop to be dry for the ride back to the hotels. A few days before our tour I received an email confirmation that included other useful information, such as bring along swimwear, towels, water shoes and a light jacket for the air conditioned van. I had not considered the A/C and I'm always cold, so that is a very welcome heads-up. On the day of our tour we received texts that the driver was on his way. Pretty close to the scheduled meeting time the van pulled up to our resort. The van was spacious with huge windows. Our tour was full with all 12 passenger seats occupied. Our driver/guide was Travis. He was born and raised in Hana and was a wealth of knowledge about Hana, Maui, and Hawaii. He seemed to be related to all the locals he passed on the road. There was not dull moment. Among the stops along the way were Maui Tropical Plantation for breakfast, Auntie Sandy's Banana Bread stand for those that wished to purchase, Wai'anapanapa State Park (black sand beach, also with a lava tube and a blow hole), Pua'a Ka'a State Wayside Park (usually calm enough to swim but the falls were roaring due to rain earlier in the day), and Ho'okipa Beach with turtles on the beach. Travis was an excellent driver and guide. We got great value from the cost of the excursion. One minor thing did bother us. We are Jewish and were uncomfortable during the praising Jesus sing-along. Regardless, we recommend this tour and especially Travis as a guide.

We could not have been more lucky. I called to make sure there was vegan options for food and also the person that I spoke with made it easy to purchase 4 tickets for my father and stepmother as well as for my friend and I. We arrived early and found parking. There is also easy parking on the pier for a dollar an hour. I booked these tickets about a month in advance. Why I say we were very fortunate is because the weather although cloudy on the way to Molokai cleared up twice while we were in the water. The breakfast was fresh there was croissants small corn muffins and fresh fruit as well as deviled eggs. My parents enjoyed the devil eggs tremendously. The croissants were very fresh tasting. There were plenty of fish to snorkel and see. The crew was spectacular the captain pointed out different formations and shared interesting history 2 and from the island. What made the trip spectacular was the incredible amount of whales we saw. At 1 point the captain cut the engine because whales played around our boat going underneath several times. From there we were set up with helmets and gear for biking and listened to safety info. Definitely grab the pants and jackets that they offer, better to have them than not. Helmets were full over the head with mouth coverings. We wore our sunglasses underneath. I wish I had brought a cross body bag or similar to carry phones. There were plenty of opportunities to grab items out of the van on the bike ride down though! Our driver / tour guide Edie was wonderful. Very knowledgeable and honest about making sure we had a safe trip. The bike ride down was awesome. Lots of stops for pictures and opportunities to learn about the island. Our guide drew was also very knowledgeable and told us all the great food spots when we stopped in Makawao. Our group had about 12 riders and a large variety of abilities / speeds but i felt that everyone could go the pace they preferred which was great!

I'm was immediately startled by the employee screaming and berating me saying that I could not look at the pamphlets and that they are for customers only! I was totally shocked as I went to this kiosk to book some excursions. This behavior was shocking and disgusting. Hopefully employee deals with their anger management issues. Someone with that demeanor should not be working in a customer service setting.

It force us to stop snorkeling after 15mins. Since then, we never use the equipment anymore. It completely ruined our snorkeling plan. Traveling solo, it feels weird to take selfies everywhere or worse, asking someone to take your photo. The tour was me and 2 other couples: one couple were newlyweds and the other couple were on their very 1st trip together (as a couple). (Honestly where do you go after a trip to a Hawaii?!?) We could not have had a group that meshed BETTER than all of us. Our guide Henry clearly knew "the good spots" because we didn't stop anywhere that anyone else was... he made us climb down treacherous "root ladders" and walk through the coldest water up to our necks but his ideas were always SO worth it.
