i have used this cleaners somewhat regularly for a little over a year. they are never super…read morefriendly but do have a prompt turn around time. today i went in to drop off several pieces that i would need within the week. as i proceeded to drop off, i was told that my husband had an item for pick up. the owner walked over and told me that my husband should have picked his items up weeks ago. i attempted to share with him that i was unaware that the item two items were even there. he proceeded to tell me in front of other customers that he had to pay his employees weekly and that my negligence in retrieving my items put him in a bind. i apologized and went back to the car to retrieve my purse to pay the charge. as i reentered i interrupted him telling his wife about the two items. i promptly collected my items , paid and left. yes, they do a good job but so do so many other cleaners in the area that value customer loyalty and treat customers with courtesy and without belittling in the presence of others.

They had very few that could be available in time for my wedding that was six months away, and fewer still that fell below my $1000 price point. I had been looking at BHLDN and J Crew for off the rack dresses and found one I kind-of liked, but decided I wanted to do the whole bridal salon experience with my mom, aunt, and best friend from home. I honestly didn't really expect to find one at The Bridal Path, especially within my budget. I was wrong! Lou Ann knew what would flatter me, what was within my budget, and listened to what I was telling her. We found one we all loved, ordered on the spot, and had it earlier than promised (I ordered at the end of December and had it in hand in March, with no rush fee). Alterations were easy and not too pricey (mine cost a little more because I lost a fair bit of weight at the end and had it taken in more). It was a very pleasant experience and the dresses were much prettier than the ones I had seen at another salon. I did get talked into a veil and belt that put me well above what I had said was my budget, but I decided it was worth it. I felt really beautiful and was happy with my choice.

The original quote was nearly the cost of the jacket, so I politely declined and said I would just return it. Instead of letting me do that, she stopped me, insisted on looking again, came up with her own alternative plan, and assured me it would look good. I trusted her word and left the jacket. When I returned on the promised pickup date, she immediately snapped at me, asking if I had "not seen her call" from the day before. Then, with attitude, she told me the jacket couldn't be altered after all. So after holding my jacket for over three weeks...time that cost me the chance to return it, I was left empty-handed, out the money, and just a week from my interview. The worst part wasn't even the failed alteration, but the dismissive, rude way it was handled. I did not ask for her alternative plan; she offered it, reassured me it would work, and then left me in a worse position than if I had walked away in the first place. If reliability and respect matter to you, do yourself a favor and go anywhere else.
