The original quote was nearly the cost of the jacket, so I politely declined and said I would just return it. Instead of letting me do that, she stopped me, insisted on looking again, came up with her own alternative plan, and assured me it would look good. I trusted her word and left the jacket. When I returned on the promised pickup date, she immediately snapped at me, asking if I had "not seen her call" from the day before. Then, with attitude, she told me the jacket couldn't be altered after all. So after holding my jacket for over three weeks...time that cost me the chance to return it, I was left empty-handed, out the money, and just a week from my interview. The worst part wasn't even the failed alteration, but the dismissive, rude way it was handled. I did not ask for her alternative plan; she offered it, reassured me it would work, and then left me in a worse position than if I had walked away in the first place. If reliability and respect matter to you, do yourself a favor and go anywhere else.
